Story
Jewel Female DLH/Gray 21 years old 5.3 lbs. Hello! I’m Jewel! I am the sweetest, most cuddly, and affectionate lady looking for a cozy home where I can spend my golden years. Now you may have noticed my age, but with age comes wisdom, and with my wisdom comes lots of experience with being an awesome cat companion. I am easy going, and one of the greatest joys in my life is getting to sleep next to you on your bed, or maybe even on your pillow. I am great at sharing that and keeping your head warm! I also know my pictures look a little silly right now since so much of my fur is shaved! I came into PawsCo with severe mats in my coat and the best thing for me was a full shave. But it’s already starting to grow back and I’ll look a little less silly once I have a gorgeous coat again. In the meantime, I’ll appreciate a family who loves me even with my goofy hair-do right now. I am looking for a home that would be on the quieter side. I also love humans most and feel a bit weary around other animals so I need a forever home where I’m the only cat. When I am first in a new home, I might need a little time to warm up to my new and fantastic life. But after a few days, I settle in just beautifully and I’ll make myself right at home. For a gal my age, my health is in really good shape! I’ve had all my basic vetting done (including a senior blood panel!) and I have no major health concerns at this time. I did come to PawsCo with a pretty severe ear infection and I may be prone to ear infections going forward. So I’m looking for an adopter who can monitor me for any ear infection symptoms (scratching my ears a lot/etc.) so I can get antibiotics if needed. I also am eating a dry cat food that helps promote kidney health to help ensure my kidneys stay healthy. I also need an adopter who understands that a senior gal like me may have health issues pop up at any time and I need an adopter who is comfortable supporting me through any medical needs. Since you have read this far, I know that you must be looking for a loyal friend and cuddle buddy in your life, so please contact my friends at PawsCo, adoptions@pawscoadoptions.org, to learn about adopting me or fill out an application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. I look forward to meeting you!

Story
Itty Bitty DLH / Black & White Female 11 years old 14 lbs. Hi friends! I’m Itty Bitty! I’m the sweetest, most gentle gal around and I can’t wait to find a forever family of my very own. I am just a doll and I’m overflowing with affection whenever my human pets me! I’ll even flop over so you can rub my belly. I’m an affectionate lady known for being super sweet, friendly and mellow. I’m hoping to find a quieter home since I tend to retreat to a hiding spot when there are a ton of new people around. I haven’t met any dogs or young kids so it’s unknown how I’d do with those types of friends, but I’m not a fan of loud noises, so older kids might be best if there are children in the home. I’m fine with other cats who show me the respect I’ll show them but I also would do just fine as a solo cat as well. I really like meeting new people after a little time to relax and feel comfortable. Snuggling and cuddling is my superpower! I’m also litterbox trained and love a good snooze. I’d love to get to know you to see if we are a wonderful forever match! To learn more about me, please email my friends at PawsCo adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or check out this information page: https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. Thank you so much!

Finnegan DLH / Orange Tabby Male 5 months old 5 lbs (and growing!) Hey there, I’m Finnegan, and I’m looking for a forever home of my very own! I’m the sweetest, most adorable kitten who will bring so much joy and happiness to an amazing family. Do you have room in your heart for me? I’m having so much fun in my foster home and I’m learning and growing so much! I have lots of adorable kitten energy! I am a little purr machine, and will nuzzle your face when you pet me.I adore other cat friends and also am doing great with the dog in my foster home too! I’m the full package and I can’t wait to blossom into such an amazing cat alongside my very own humans. Quick note-I have a sensitive GI system and I need to be on special food (easily purchased at your vet clinic or at Chewy.com for around $65/8lb bag) and two supplements sprinkled on top of my food (around $15/month cost). The food is essential for my overall health so I am looking for an adopter who is comfortable continuing my diet/supplements. The kind folks at PawsCo can share more info about my medical history as well! Ready to adopt the sweetest forever companion? Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. Or, contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!

Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.  Mamma cat is super adorable and hassle-free. She's completely litter box trained, very poised and loves to be brushed anytime of the day and petted only when she comes to you. She's calm and wants you to get up early in the morning to feed her and clean her litter box. You have to spend some time with her in the morning before you get busy with your chores or else you will have to face the brunt of her cattitude for the rest of the day. She loves to sleep most of the day but she sleeps best when she's around humans. She won't tell you this but she prefers to sleep next to you even if you are busy with something else. She needs her daily dose of love and affection in the form of petting and pampering. She's one big ball of fur, engages in a game of laser tag once in a while and is one healthy cat for her age. She gets stressed about moving to new houses and hence would prefer to move to a forever home where she can spend the rest of the her life peacefully. Video of Mamma: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-zegU1zGPQI   foster: SM   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $250 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $150 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $150 for kittens (6 months & under)    $75 for cats (older than 6 months)    $35 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Good with kids, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
We adopted Lilli about 8 years ago when her owner passed away suddenly. She is 9 years old now, and she's a very sweet cat with a calm demeanor. I have two kids, and Lilli has been a great pet for them. She is comfortable with kids and is very affectionate. She's up on all her vaccines and is in good health. She is an easygoing, low maintenance cat who loves being pet. Unfortunately, we are moving out of country and cannot take her with us. She's an indoor cat, uses her litter box reliably, and will eat both dry and wet food. She has not been around other pets, so I don't know how she would do around other cats or dogs. She is spayed, not declawed, doesn't bite or scratch, and is good about using her scratching post instead of furniture. The ideal home for her would be a calm, peaceful environment with owners of any age looking for an affectionate cat to care for.
