Nigel is a super sweet able-bodied 15+ year old dude with a purr like a V8. His ex-owners are dealing with addiction issues and have moved leaving him behind. Nigel is very friendly and seems at ease with people and dogs once they are familiar to him. His overall health seems good although he is in desperate need of having his nails trimmed. I have been feeding him canned tuna for over a week now and his coat looks much better than the photos show. This sweet ol' guy deserves to live out his final chapter being loved which no doubt he will return, (I would keep him but my wife is allergic to cats). Thank you for considering this lovely beast.

Hi there, I'm Clementine & I would love to let you know about me.  Full disclosure, I will need time to decompress in my new home & to get to know (aka TRUST) my humans.  After I am used to my people, I absolutely ADORE having my face scrunched while I hear about your day or what a pretty girl I am.  You'll know when I'm ready for full contact face scrunching because I'll start laying next you & hang out.   I am not a fan of loud, busy homes, and would be happiest in a quieter environment where I can feel calm & safe.  I would be ok with older children who will respect me and not have grabby hands (I know it's tempting for them since I'm a cute black floof of fur, but it's scary for me) Until I get comfortable in my new home, I will most likely sing the song of my people and tell stories in my native tongue.  After I decompress and get more used to everything, this will subside and I will feel confident that you listened to my stories thoroughly, so I can stop repeating them.   My origin story is not the best.  I was adopted as a kitten & had a home.  I don't understand why, but that human tossed me out into the Denver streets to fend for myself. Mavis is a discerning woman who knows what she likes and makes her happiest.  She will probably be happiest as an only queen or with another kitty that she likes; she would probably not enjoy living with many more animals.  While she can coexist peacefully with another kitty, she has not been interested in being cuddly with them. She enjoys being pet on her head, and having wet food with gravy in her designated spot.   Mavis enjoys having a human servant who learns to do things "just so."  She could be a nice apartment kitty or pet for someone who would like companionship and expect the cat to entertain itself. Wrigley is a beautiful cat. She is quiet, independent and sticks to a very regimented routine. She can be shy and loving at the same time. She likes her long hair to be brushed. She loves going outdoors but will never stray far as she is extremely careful.

Skittles is a sweet cat who needs a family that can give her the love and attention she deserves. We have had her for 7 years but since we added our daughter to the family, Skittles has been restless and seems stressed and unhappy. With our growing family we cannot give her the solo attention she requires. She is a lap cat and wants cuddles and companionship. I’m thinking an older couple or widow/er without kids would be perfect. This is hard for us to do but believe this is what would be best for her and us.

I began fostering this sweet boy through the Dallas animal shelter before moving to Denver. He moved with me and has grown so much. When I began fostering him, he was feral and was highly skiddish. He is still a little scared boy but much cuddlier and friendlier! He opens up and is very sweet as long as you give him time. He’s had some extensive recent dental work done and has a clean bill of health (I can provide that).
