Story
Name: June Breed: Domestic Long Hair Sex: Spayed Female Age: 8.5 years Weight: 11 lbs Good with dogs? June previously lived with dogs and may do better with a mature, quiet dog, if any dog. She may generally ignore dogs or let them know that she prefers her space. Good with cats? She seems to prefer her space and has not tried to befriend the resident cat in her foster home. Good with kids? Not Tested, but older kids would be best since she needs humans who can read her signals. Energy level: Low to Medium. She enjoys exploring and napping, and enjoys a good window view. Animal Characteristics: June is a beautiful, inquisitive, smart cat who enjoys love when she’s in the mood and also appreciates quiet time to herself. She likes being near people more than being handled, and will give clear signals when she needs space. She will come sit in your lap and purr for a few minutes, then move on with her cute little diva-like strut. June may relax and fully blossom once she settles into her cozy forever home. Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!

Lucy very much loves being with humans.  She is willing to earn her keep with her expert level snuggling and biscuit making skills that puts mere mortal breadmakers to shame.  She enjoys being brushed and will be the best girl when she gets this special attention. Lucy ended up with us through no fault of her own. Her owner was moved to a memory care facility and now we are trying to help Lucy find her new family.   She does not care to be around other cats or dogs and would prefer the company of a warm couch or bed if her human is not around.   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website - https://demisanimalrescue.com/demis-adoption-application/  All cats are spayed/neutered, mircochipped, FeLV tested and up to date on vaccinations (combo shot, rabies - if age appropriate) ##2381852##

Story
This precious one-eared beauty has been through a lot, but her heart remains as full of love as ever. Rescued from a rural shelter in New Mexico after being surrendered through no fault of her own, she made her way to Colorado in search of a brighter future. In foster care, we discovered tumors on her ear that required surgery—twice—but this brave girl handled it all with incredible grace. Today, she is cancer-free and ready for the next chapter: a forever home where she can be cherished like the queen she is.She’s the sweetest companion you could ever hope for—she adores snuggling into laps, melting under chin scritches, and soaking up all the pets she can get. Playful and loving, she’ll make you laugh with her silly antics and then curl up beside you for a cozy nap. She truly thrives when she’s the center of attention and would love to be your one and only furry family member. Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.    Meet Babaganoush, a dashing young brown tabby with a personality as striking as his good looks. This charming, playful boy is the life of the party, always ready to fetch, chase after wool balls, or bat around ping pong balls with endless enthusiasm. Despite his playful nature, Babaganoush's story started on a rough note—found as a stray, surviving on scraps and trash, he now enjoys a much more comfortable life. While he's thriving, Baba has a special diet to support his gut health and may eventually be weaned off with the guidance of his vet.   Babaganoush would do best as the only pet in the home, as he enjoys being the center of attention. He thrives in a calm environment and is best with children aged 12 and over who can respect his boundaries. Babaganoush is the perfect blend of charm, cuteness, and curiosity—always ready for a game, but just as happy curled up for a cozy nap.   See more of Baba on IG @303.fosters See a video of Baba fetching (his new favorite activity): https://youtube.com/shorts/PprwOHMYa7I?si=17CdNzTXF5o35UV_ foster: maba  Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.  If you’ve ever thought to yourself, “I wish I had a cat who looked like a Muppet from the dark side,” then oh boy do we have the guy for you. This is Hagrid. He also goes by Haggard, Swamp Creature, or Haggy. Hagrid sounds like a strangled kitten when he meows, and sometimes he hisses when he’s happy. (Shrug) Haggy is a hot mess but a heck of a lot less so than when he was trapped a few months ago! He is a former trailer park kitty who got the great fortune of being trapped and coming to the soft, cushy foster life. He had a horribly matted coat, a rotten mouth, an FIV and herpes virus infection, and a tail that’s kinked at the end. Who knows what led to Hagrid being in this situation, but at least now he’s doing a lot better. His coat is drastically improved (and he enjoys brushing), he had all those pesky rotten teeth removed, and his herpes flare has subsided. He still has FIV of course, but since that can only be transmitted through bite wounds, and Haggy has no teeth, he’s not passing that on to anyone! Hagrid enjoys the company of other cats, but he truly loves people. He will purr up a storm while you pet him, randomly hiss at you for exactly zero reasons, then give you a violently strong nuzzle to tell you he was just kidding. He’s a total love who is really into soft beds, yummy food, and curling up next to his person. Sometimes, if you pet him in a way he doesn’t like, or move in a way that he doesn't approve of, he will gum you. (If you’ve never had a toothless cat chomp down on you, you’re missing out.) Then he will let out a meow that sounds like an old door that hasn’t been opened in a century and dive bomb his big, blocky head into your side to apologize. We fully realize that Haggy the Hot Mess Express isn’t the right cat for everyone, but he’s a true gem of a guy for someone who needs to be able to look at their cat and think, “Wow, my hair doesn’t actually look that bad after all.” All jokes aside, Hagrid will provide so much love and laughter to his adopter’s life, whether he’s here for a few more years or a decade or more. He would enjoy living with other cats and would likely be fine with dogs (can be dog tested) and older kids (teenagers) who can read his cues. If you think you can provide an amazing home for Mr. Swampy, please apply here: https://arrcolorado.org/apply-to-adopt-a-pet/ Hagrid is fostered in Conifer, CO.
