Story
Name: June Breed: Domestic Long Hair Sex: Spayed Female Age: 8.5 years Weight: 11 lbs Good with dogs? June previously lived with dogs and may do better with a mature, quiet dog, if any dog. She may generally ignore dogs or let them know that she prefers her space. Good with cats? She seems to prefer her space and has not tried to befriend the resident cat in her foster home. Good with kids? Not Tested, but older kids would be best since she needs humans who can read her signals. Energy level: Low to Medium. She enjoys exploring and napping, and enjoys a good window view. Animal Characteristics: June is a beautiful, inquisitive, smart cat who enjoys love when she’s in the mood and also appreciates quiet time to herself. She likes being near people more than being handled, and will give clear signals when she needs space. She will come sit in your lap and purr for a few minutes, then move on with her cute little diva-like strut. June may relax and fully blossom once she settles into her cozy forever home. Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!

Story
Hello friends! My name is Jackson, I am a 14 year old, neutered male, medium-haired cat. I was relinquished to MaxFund October 2023 by no fault of my own, and now I am looking for my fur-ever home! I have been patiently waiting for a home, and while the kind people at MaxFund take great care of me, what I really need is a family to call my own. I’m told I look like an orange Creamsicle, and with my long ears and mesmerizing green eyes—like beautiful sea glass—I certainly turn heads. But looks aren’t everything; it’s my heart that makes me truly special. I’m a gentle, sugary-sweet, easygoing boy who loves to be brushed, picked up, and even have my tummy rubbed. I purr like a motorboat, and if I’m extra happy, I might even drool a little—just my way of showing you how much I love you! One of my favorite things is going on harness walks around the shelter. When I’m out and about, everyone stops to pet me and give me attention. They say I’m just the best boy—and I have to agree! I love spending quality time with my humans, curling up in a warm lap to watch movies, and soaking in all the love I can get. I also love to play, explore, and just enjoy life with my favorite people. I do have diabetes, which means I need twice-daily insulin shots and a special diet. It’s a small routine, and I promise I’ll make it worth your while with extra snuggles, purrs, and devotion. Sadly for me, I cannot have any table food but that`s ok, just give me extra snuggles and we`ll call it even. Because of this, I’m available as a Short-Term Foster with Intent to Adopt. If you’re interested in learning more about me, please reach out to fostercats@maxfund.org. I’ve lived happily with a small, talkative dog before, and I get along fine with my fellow feline friends. But here’s the thing—some of my diabetic friends have already found their forever homes, and while I still have one roommate left, I really hope I’m next. I have so much love to give, and I know I’d make the perfect companion for someone out there. I’ve been waiting a long time. Too long. But I believe my person is out there—someone who will look into my green eyes, hear my deep, happy purrs, and say, “You’re finally home.” Could that someone be you? Please come meet me!The shelter hours are Sunday - Monday, & Wednesday - Saturday (Closed Tuesday) 9:30 - 4:30, Closed 12:00 - 1:00 for lunch.

Story
~Foster to Adopt~Hi friends, my name is Beau—the most handsome, dashing, and charming 15-year-old black cat you will ever meet.I have been to MaxFund twice. The first time was because my previous owner was moving into a memory care facility. I eventually found my new owner and thought things were going well, until one day I ended up here again. But, after several months I was lucky enough to find a loving foster home! Sadly, my fosters were unable to care for me long term so I am back at the shelter. Though, I am shy at first, I eventually warm up to people. I am very playful (for an old guy) and I never met a wand toy or laser that didn’t instantly get my attention. My most recent foster mom carried me around like a clutch, which is funny because I didn’t like to be picked up at the shelter. In fact, I really started to come out of my shell in my foster home. I even got along with the family dog!Every cat’s wish is for a forever home with a forever family. Would you consider taking in a sweet old guy?
