Meet Sweetie – A Calm and Loving Companion Hi, I’m Sweetie! I’m a gentle, easy-going gal who dreams of a peaceful home filled with sunshine, cozy movie nights, tasty treats, and plenty of love. I’d thrive best in a quiet environment since I’m not used to lots of noise or commotion. I might take a little time to warm up to new people, but if you have my favorite treats, I’ll quickly become your loyal best friend. If you’re looking for a calm, sweet kitty to share your quiet moments with, I’d love to meet you! If you’d like to learn more about me, visit our website and fill out an adoption application, and my people will be in touch! www.fureverhomerescue.com

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Cletus is a quirky, independent guy who marches to the beat of his own (mostly nighttime) drum. By day, he’s a professional napper who loves curling up on a folded blanket at the end of the bed or claiming his favorite chair in the living room. By night? That’s when Cletus clocks in for playtime. He loves feather toys and truly enjoys interactive play. When he’s feeling especially playful, he can get adorably enthusiastic and enjoys games that let him use his paws and practice his hunting skills. He’ll also happily remind you when it’s time to play—or eat—making him a fun companion for someone who enjoys a cat with personality and opinions. While he isn’t overly energetic, Cletus appreciates engagement and enrichment on his own schedule. Cletus values his independence and will do best in a home that allows him time to settle in and feel secure. Once comfortable, he enjoys being near his people and sharing space, even if he prefers to relax on his own terms.  Cletus requires prescription soft cat food to support his urinary health and will need to stay on this diet long-term. He has done very well on this food and has had no ongoing issues. Cletus was found as a stray. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. **Wobbly cat**Samson is a sweet, affectionate, and playful guy who is full of love and charm. He was stepped on as a kitten and does have some balance issues and quirks as a result, but we think that just adds to his charm!  His clumsy nature doesn’t slow them down much—it gives a little something extra to his uniqueness and irresistible personality! He adores cuddle time, happily soaking up pets and attention, and will often seek out his favorite humans for comfort and companionship. Playtime is a favorite activity, whether that’s batting at toys, chasing gentle movements, or simply being part of whatever you’re doing. This special kitty has a confident spirit and a joyful heart, and he's looking for a home that will love him exactly as he is. If you’re searching for a devoted companion with extra sweetness and character, this wobbly wonder may be your perfect match!   Samson is from a local impound. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Are you ready to welcome a loving, gentle soul into your home? Look no further than Miss Scrunkle! This delightful feline bypasses all the usual shy introductions and is ready to shower you with affection from the moment you meet. She needs no decompression time – she's instantly seeking out chin scratches and eager to explore her new kingdom. Miss Scrunkle is the epitome of a quiet companion. Her meow is a soft murmur, and her purr is a low, rumbling hum of pure contentment. While her tail is a unique, slightly scraggly accent, it only adds to her charm. She thrives on company and would flourish in a home where she isn’t left alone for long stretches; she simply loves being near her people. You’ll know she wants a pet when she gently nudges your hand – a subtle and sweet invitation. Beyond her charming personality, Miss Scrunkle is an expert-level biscuit maker (click here to see!), kneading with enthusiastic joy! Her inquisitive nature means she's always ready to observe and explore. She's a professional lap cat, equally content snuggled on your knee or simply close by. A moving water fountain would be ideal for this discerning lady, or a very heavy bowl to prevent any accidental spills. If you’re seeking an instantly affectionate, quiet, and devoted companion, Miss Scrunkle is waiting to bless your home with purrs and gentle nudges. Come meet this special girl today! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Oliver, a stunning long-haired orange gentleman who knows he’s handsome and fully expects you to agree. Around 8 years old, Oliver has reached that wise stage of life where he knows exactly what he likes, what he doesn’t, and isn’t interested in pretending otherwise. Oliver enjoys exploring his surroundings at a leisurely pace, confidently strutting around like the home already belongs to him, loudly announcing his presence. Other cats don’t seem to faze him, and with slow, respectful introductions, he’s happy to coexist. His thoughts on dogs remain a mystery. With humans, Oliver enjoys affection and attention — just with a clear “read the room” policy. He loves pets and companionship, but when he’s ready for a break, he’ll politely let you know it’s time to pause. Think of him as a cat with excellent communication skills and strong boundaries. Oliver is looking for a calm, low-key home where he can relax, explore, and enjoy love in just the right doses. If you appreciate a cat with personality, confidence, and a dash of sass, Oliver might just be your perfect match.  Oliver is from an owner surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. I just joined my foster family and we are still getting acquainted with one another. Once they learn more about me, they will add more information here! Deuce is from an owner surrender with his mom. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.   Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats’ emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of “Single Kitten Syndrome” (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten’s most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 16, 2026, 3:55 pm
