Story
Erik the Red is a 4-year-old gentle giant looking for his forever home! This fluffy guy is a sweet boy who often flops onto his back to invite pets. He absolutely loves affectionate pets and will instantly purr in response. He has spent his time at his foster house learning the joys of being an indoor cat - warmth, cozy couches, and family! His favorite activities are naps on the couch, hunting his toys (springs, mice, and string, oh my!), and getting brushed (necessary to keep his lustrous coat looking its best).Erik is confident and friendly to other cats, and he likes to hang out with humans as well. He loves food and will be happy to be your new cooking buddy! This handsome fellow is a moderate-energy cat. He loves to play and gets the zoomies, but then he settles in for a well-earned nap!Erik was previously a stray until a kind finder discovered him near the Vikings Stadium and realized he had great potential as an indoor cat! He is currently being fostered in a house with two adult humans and two resident cats. He gets along very well with the resident cats, enjoying chase-play in particular, and would love to find a home with another feline friend! Erik is currently fed separately from the resident cats to ensure this food-motivated boy only eats his share! He is also on a special prescription diet due to some food sensitivities; his forever humans should continue providing him with this to ensure he stays happy and healthy. Due to his previous life on the streets, Erik can be frightened by new people and loud noises at first, so he will need his own quiet space and some patience while he settles into a new environment. Once he feels safe and comfortable, Erik will enjoy affection and daily play. This boy has a lot of love to bring to his new home! There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimates.Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Story
Mama Alison is an absolute sweetheart who came to us just after giving birth to her six kittens. This sweet 2.5-year-old is looking for her forever home, now that her babies are all grown up. This pretty lady is very relaxed. She hangs out near her people and just enjoys their company. She is also very curious and loves to explore. Having lived her life as a stray before having her babies, she is fairly reserved, but it won’t take long for her to warm up.An affectionate gal, Mama A. really enjoys lounging and relaxing, along with snuggling with the resident cats (and sneaking a bit of their food when she can!). She doesn’t run and play too much, but that just means she has more time for human interaction and pets/cuddles. This sweetheart needs to go to a forever home with other friendly, gentle resident cats who can help her settle in. (No dogs, please). She loves people, but she needs them to be respectful and patient while she transitions into her new home. Calm adults and cat-savvy older children would be best for this lovely girl.Mama Alison is so ready to take the next step on her journey to a cozy indoor life. Could it be with you? Story
Geri is a beautiful, 8-year-old, silvery-gray lady looking for her forever home! Geri was one of four girls born to a feral momma in an enclosed porch of an old home. The elderly man who lived in the home brought all four of the girls into his large home and they had the run of the place. For 7-1⁄2 years, Gerri and her sisters lived very independently in the big house until her owner moved to a nursing home. When this beauty came into foster care, she was so matted it wasn’t possible to pet her except on the top of her head. Once shaved, she was so much more comfortable. Her initial veterinary appointment showed mouth inflammation, and she was scheduled for a dental consult and was diagnosed with stomatitis requiring 15 of her teeth be removed. She does wonderfully with just a few teeth -- enjoying both dry cat food and her much loved Fancy Feast Savory Centers wet food. Geri enjoys human attention but is also independent and although brought up with three littermates, she doesn’t interact with them much. She prefers to lay in the sun for her naps or sit at the top of the cat tree and watch the birds and squirrels for some “me time.” Even though she is now a mature lady, she still has her “zoomie” moments – chasing after and playing with small toys. She likes to be brushed on her head and back and is slowly getting used to being brushed on her chest and stomach – key spots to stay on top of, since that is where any matting is prone to start. Her foster has trimmed her nails, and although it is not Geri’s favorite things, she does tolerate it. Her forever humans should be committed to helping her keep her beautiful coat looking its best. Geri likes human interaction and will sit on your lap, especially when you are sitting at the computer. When she has had enough interaction, she will give a small grunt and jump down. This pretty girl currently lives with her 3 siblings but doesn't interact with them very much. She would do great in a home with humans who work from home or are around a lot, and who are okay with a cat sitting on their lap when at the computer or when watching TV. Although she has enjoyed pets from a respectful six-year-old child, Geri would probably prefer a home with older, more mature children and no other pets. A cat tree by a window would be incredibly welcome - she loves to sleep at the top. This beautiful lady has been through some upheavals and is so ready to live a cozy, loving life with her forever humans. If you’re looking for a gentle companion to while away the days with this summer, Geri is your girl! Interested in adopting or learning more about this cat? Story
Tybalt & Oberon are a hunky pair of debonaire one-year old brothers looking for a loving, patient forever home to benignly rule.Oberon is a curious, friendly prince with a mild case of cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). This condition doesn't require any special care but causes Oberon's head to wobble and for his balance to be a little unsteady at times. He is not fazed at all by his endearing physical quirk, however, and successfully aspires to do everything his siblings and foster friends do. Oberon's huge amber eyes take in everything with open curiosity and a fun-loving, positive mindset. He loves gentle head scritches and pets, being near his trusted humans, and observing the world from his high cat tree perches. Tybalt, an equal match to his brother's studly appearance, has the softest fur and striking green bedroom eyes that will melt the coldest of hearts. More cautious than Oberon, Tybalt is still learning to trust humans and is working hard to overcome his skepticism. He is curious and interested in engaging with the world and will continue blossoming into an affectionate loving companion in the right furrever home that will allow him to open up at his own pace. Both these medium/low energy noblemen have a robust taste for churrus and mealtimes more generally. They enjoy playing, lounging and primetime cat tv. They are perfect with the litter box and have excellent manners.Oberon and Tybalt will require a calm, predictable home with cat-savvy people experienced with under-socialized cats. No kids under twelve please. Because of Oberon's CH, a carpeted, one-level home would be best. These beautiful boys have made great strides but are still at the beginning of blossoming into their best and bravest selves and will need a forever family that is patient and unconditionally loving to help them continue gaining confidence and trust. They would get along with other respectful cats, and, although they haven't met any dogs, they would likely do fine with cat-savvy, respectful canine siblings. Slow introductions would of course be essential. If you would like to give these handsome princes the cozy, loving life they so richly deserve, please consider adding Tybalt and Oberon to your castle and your heart. - - - - - - - - - - - - -There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. Story
Hello there! My name is Houdini which might sound like an odd name for a girl kitty but trust me, I have lived up to my name (all in good ways, don't worry!) My foster Mom tells me I am so beautiful (and I must admit, I like that.) I have long, soft orange hair with white highlights on my chin, chest, and paws and I have big, golden/green eyes which I love to give slow blinks with to tell my humans I love them! I am pretty young for a cat at only five years old. I'm healthy and very social once I get to know you. I love to be with my humans and I have advanced level cuddle skills. My favorite time of day is when I get to snuggle in my foster Mom's arms with my head on her shoulder (I purr often while snuggling by the way.) Will you be my next snuggle buddy? I like to play, especially with my butterfly toy that spins around, but I am very sophisticated, so I don’t get too excited or hyped up. I can be shy at first and a little cautious when I am getting to learn my way around or hearing new sounds (like my foster parent's dogs) but once I open up, I will be by your side through thick and thin forever. I would do best in a calm home where I am the only pet or you have pets that will be respectful of my space when needed. I love to be brushed (got to maintain my beautiful long locks) and I am a good little eater, always use my litter box and am good about using my scratching posts to sharpen my nails, not the furniture. In summary, I am sweet, beautiful, sophisticated and very well mannered so hurry up and apply to be my forever family! Please visit https://felinerescue.org/all-cats/ to learn more about me and where I am located!
