Story
My family is having housing trouble and in need of help with our cats. I have rescued and cat sat for years and sadly many have been dumped and never picked back up. Precious is very shy and takes time to trust. She does not like the other cats and would likely be happy in a quiet home. She has let my kids touch her but they have always been around cats. She really needs love and experience.

Story
Winter is a stunning senior lady! This 12-year-old is independent and likes to keep to herself most of the time but that's not to say that she's not curious about what's going on around her. She just prefers to watch from a distance. She loves mealtime and treats, and chasing her ribbon wand toy.  Unfortunately, Winter tested positive for both Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). There is no cure for FeLV and we don't know how much longer we have with this sweet lady! If you'd like to learn more about FeLV and FIV in cats, please refer to the links below: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-leukemia-virus https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv Winter also had some mammary tumors that turned out to be grade II carcinomas. While the tumors were completely excised, there was vascular invasion which means that there is cancer floating around in her bloodstream waiting to land and take root somewhere. Winter is a hospice cat and we're looking for a loving and patient home for her where she can continue to live out the rest of her days in peace. With a slow and proper introduction, Winter would do okay with another FeLV positive cat. She is currently being fostered in Brighton. Story
Binx is a very friendly, long haired brown tabby with a great personality. Binx was surrendered along with his housemates, Cali and Sammy after their owner sadly passed away. Binx loves all the attention he gets from the volunteers and especially his grooming time. This very handsome boy has incredibly long whiskers, expressive green eyes and a very gratifying purr. Binx is easygoing and ready to meet his new family.

Story
MEET GANDALF - Check out my video!Handsome Gandalf has a certain magical air about him, don`t you think? We were tempted to call him `Big Daddy` because there were so many kittens in his former neighborhood who looked suspicously like him. Now that his days of roaming the countryside are behind him, Gandalf is ready to settle down in a nearby shire and accept petting and treats from his people. This big guy was a little bit shy when he first came in, but the help of some confident kitty friends have helped him come out of his shell. He is a sweet boy who is extremely food motivated and is willing to look past the scary things for a good treat. He would benefit from a quieter home that can provide him a little bit of extra time to get his bearings in his new home. We think he will make a wonderful and pretty laid back friend in his new home - come meet him in Dedham if you think that might be you!Gandalf is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
