Daphne and her sister Velma were transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Tennessee. Due to the age gap, it's highly unlikely that these girls are genetic sisters, but they adore each other and are clearly sisters of the heart, which is why they must stay together. Velma is the older sister and MUCH larger than petite little Daphne. While here with us, Velma has been taking the lead in most situations - she is social, friendly, and loves getting attention from her human friends. Daphne has been a bit more reserved, but based on her age and coat color, we expect her to take over your home once she is comfortable. Daphne also enjoys getting human attention, she just hasn't been bold in requesting it the way that Velma does. The ladies like to sleep cuddled together, and they like to eat together as well. We have not seen them play together, but since their space is limited in the double cabin they've been sharing, it is highly possible they'll play when they have more room. My name is Momma Maribel and I am a beautiful grey and rust colored Tabby girl that had a beautiful litter of 7 kittens in a wonderful foster home 10 weeks ago. I am a really laidback girl that is easy going and loving. I just kind of sit back and observe and then snuggle if you have a lap for me. I was a stray and outside my whole life until I was discovered by a very experienced foster mom who took me in and let me have my precious babies there inside a home. Outside is where so many moms and their kittens land with no protection. I am very savvy about life and yet I am eager to find a home of my own. I am just about a year old and ready for a forever family to welcome me with open arms.
