Patches – Available for Adoption UPDATE from Foster: “Patches is pretty much a 'ghost' kittie, staying in her safe spot (in the bay window area behind my sofa), where I can see her but not touch her. She occasionally ventures out while I'm actually on the sofa, and is fine so long as I just ignore her, but if I speak to her, she freezes, and if I move, she bolts for safety. I know that she's been feral for most of her life, so I'm guessing that all of this is normal. She has a good appetite, eats and drinks plenty and uses her litter box regularly. She did cough up a hair ball this week, also normal for a long-haired cat. She seems less anxious than she was at first, but I don't think that she's going to be 'social' any time soon. She's going to need a lot of patience. Meanwhile, she's doing OK, although I do miss having a cat who is somewhat more sociable. But my job is to help her begin to feel safe and I'm happy to do the best that I can, even if she never interacts with me.” Patches is a recent GRADUATE from BFF’s sponsor a feral cat program! Patches is approximately 15 years old. She was brought in due to a sudden change of her demeanor at the feeding site. What once was a 100% feral cat became a much more docile one. She also had exhibited some actions (e.g. walking in circles) that scared her feeders into bringing her into the emergency vet. She was pronounced as blind – either due to a stroke or her age. At the moment want to monitor her within the next three months to see if her blindness clears up because it could just be temporary. She also hates other cats, which means she is not happy in her current living situation. What we need ASAP is a place for her to go that will allow her to hopefully transition into a happy indoor only cat. Her ideal home would be one with absolutely no other pets. Also, one that is quiet without a lot of comings & goings. If you think you can provide this for her, please reach out. Patches is approximately 15 years old, fixed and up-to-date on her vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting her, contact Boston's Forgotten Felines on Facebook or at catadoptions@bostonsforgottenfelines.org!

Story
Meet Sunshine! She`s a petite girl who`s shy around people. As you can imagine, she`s not at her best here at the adoption center. She`s looking for a quiet home, with a person who can let her take her time to settle in. She has lived with other cats before, and might benefit from having a feline friend. Do you have a quiet home? Are you the one she`s hoping for?

Story
Cali came into our care when she was surrendered by her family, hoping we could find another family with more time for her. She has a big personality, including very sweet times, playful times, and times she wants absolutely nothing to do with anyone (and she'll tell you, first with body language, then with her teeth, though she has shown much improvement through care at the shelter). Additionally, Cali has occasional digestive upset, for which she eats a specialized diet. Cali needs an experienced cat owner, who will learn her mannerisms, respect her boundaries, and love her when she wants to be loved. Cali would not do well around children or other cats. *Cali has a known bite history and her adopter would need to sign an acknowledgement of it.

PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING We transport kittens from South Florida. There is an epidemic of cat overpopulation in South Florida. Tens of thousands of cats & kittens suffer needlessly & need a home. We transport & adopt kittens & cats that have no chance in South Florida. Please note - we are the only legal Florida rescue importer in the state of Mass. We have 3 professional transporters deliver your kitties safely to you. One person is always in the back monitoring the health & well-being of your animal. Although we love dogs they are NEVER on our transport as it adds time & stress for your kitties. Be sure to ask questions of any rescue transporting. Are they legal & how are they transported. There is a big difference. We also use flight angels. Kind volunteers who bring a cat or kitten on a plane ride as their carry-on luggage. We are so grateful for good people. We try to get the kittens as close as we can by air. TO ADOPT A KITTEN, YOU MUST ADOPT IN PAIRS OR HAVE A YOUNG CAT. Our adoption guidelines: Must be 25 years old Must adopt young kittens (6 months or less) you must have a young cat or dog or adopt in pairs UNLESS otherwise stated. Must be a previous cat owner. Must have a vet we can speak to. CT license AIR 000534 MA charity #080383 MA licensed importer #68 USDA # 88-T-0895 Hi, I'm Belle, I'm 1.5-2 years old. I was rescued from a phone company compound where I was living with other colony cats. I was always meek and shy and another cat would chase me off, so when my feeder saw me limping he brought me in and fostered me. Well, my limp is fine now and I am happy I am safe inside. At first I was not leaving my safe place in a kitty condo cubby, but now I interact with the other house cats. I enjoy sitting on the couch with my foster family and watching TV, and of course kitty treats! I also sleep at the foot of the bed every night. I am learning to play more and be comfortable at home, I even purr now. I'm so happy. I still panic at times if there is a loud noise or a new person and run to my safe spot. I am so petite, about 7 lbs I still look like a kitten and likely always will. My fur is so soft and silky. I have not been exposed to small children or dogs and likely would be best in a home with older children or just adults. I do enjoy having a cat friend or two and always found a bff to hang with. Am I what you are looking for?

Story
Trying to rehome both cats together. The boy is called Mandela and he’s all black while the girl, Olga, is orange (super rare!). He’s a super sweet and friendly cat, and loves to stay on the lap. He lets you do whatever you want with him. He’s somehow vocal and needy, always asking for some love. He loves to scratch cardboard boxes. She’s super cute and somehow more reserved. She loves to be pet and chew plastic. Not vocal neither demanding. They’re both 12yo and Brazilians! He was rescued in the most famous carnival venue (sambódromo) in São Paulo when was ~3mo. Olga was severely sick when we adopted her and developed some kind of dwarfism. She’s tiny and suuuuper cute! They’re with us since 2013 and have been moving around from Brazil to Portugal and finally to the US. We recently had 2 kids and unfortunately we can no longer give them all the love they need and deserve. They’re both healthy and never had any health problems. Both are sterilized and microchipped.

Story
These two are from the same litter. Sisters! They have never been apart. They are sweet and affectionate. They love each other!! They live for treats. They eat twice a day, and sleep in between. I have recently been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and I am not able to continue caring for them. It will kill me to see them go. I don’t have another choice. Please consider them both. I couldn’t split them up and expect them to be happy and comfortable. Thank you.
