Story
Buddy: Buddy is a beautiful orange boy who can be sweet with his people, but although he is a cuddly guy, he has been noted to get uncomfortable with longer interactions or sudden movements towards him. His adopters should be able to read and understand cat-body language and to know when Buddy is opting out of any interactions that are making him uncomfortable. Buddy came to the shelter from a home that took him in as a stray and had him for about six months, so we have no history on his previous life before that. It is unknown what his experiences have been like up until this point, so all parts of his transition home will need to be taken slowly. Buddy should begin in a small room with a litter box, food, toys, and all other essentials. His adopters should not have any specific expectations for what Buddy may be like once he has settled into his new home. Once Buddy is ready to move beyond the initial confinement space, his adopters should be prepared to give slow/incremental access to the rest of the home. This may involve small outings into the rest of the house with most doors closed, or simply allowing for access to one additional room at a time over the course of a few weeks (or longer). Compatibility: Dogs: Potentially, no known historyCats: Potentially, no known history but does not seem to like other cats in the shelter when in view. Kids: Potentially, cat-savvy older children If you think Buddy could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Nevins Farm Adoption Center in Methuen. We have open adoption hours Tuesday - Sunday from 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm with no appointment or application needed. You are welcome to enter our cat room during open hours. Story
My name is Momma Maribel and I am a beautiful grey and rust colored Tabby girl that had a beautiful litter of 7 kittens in a wonderful foster home 10 weeks ago.  I am a really laidback girl that is easy going and loving.  I just kind of sit back and observe and then snuggle if you have a lap for me.  I was a stray and outside my whole life until I was discovered by a very experienced foster mom who took me in and let me have my precious babies there inside a home.  Outside is where so many moms and their kittens land with no protection.  I am very savvy about life and yet I am eager to find a home of my own.  I am just about a year old and ready for a forever family to welcome me with open arms.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you want to have an adoption form sent to adopt me.  I would be SOOOOO excited. Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. Story
Lando A short time ago, in a county not so far away, there were 6 kittens born on February 21, 2025.  One little man has grown into an attention grabbing, ham of a kitten!  No dark side here!  This one is a leader.  Always the first to the door, first to a meal, first to a toy.  Lando (he should be named Luke) is definitely the leading man, the shining star.  Alpha cat, he is.  The force is definitely with him, always.  He and his siblings are free to explore their universe, but they are contained to their galaxy room.  These little rebels enjoy chasing each other around the room, up and down the tower.  The flying fish on the wand tests their Jedi skills daily.  Lando is always the fastest and seems to jump the highest.  He is solid; all muscle!  Back flips do not scare him!  Fun it is.  Especially that droid ball that rolls around on its own.  Lando will chase that ball for hours.  He will also carry around that plastic spiral, and it is his, all his!  This little man is a sweet natured, high energy kitten that will brighten your world.  He is always on the go!  Always ready to eat.  And he is also one of the first to jump on my lap for some head scratches.  I don’t think he ever stops purring.  Lando is a happy boy.  May the force be with you to call or email CCR and rescue this little rescue.  Keep him away from the dark side.  Do or do not.  There is no try.  Now is the time!  Putting all cinematic jargons aside, This litter is one of the lucky ones.  They were born inside, in safe and dry quarters, and were nursed by their mama for 8 weeks, and then some.  We battled the typical parasites, fungal and bacterial infections that seem inherent with young kittens.  But these kittens have received attention, care and love from their first day on this planet. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped. Our handsome and uniquely designed boy named Ash was named with his brother Ember, by a firefighter who found them in a house fire.  Ash is always the first to try new things and exhibits such a brave personality that is ready to explore and embrace new experiences.  He's brave and funny and loving all rolled up into one kitty. Story
Our little Moonpie is a deliciously mischievous Bobtail boy that is a black and white harlequin kitten who is 10 weeks old as of 6/26.  Sweet as a moonpie pastry sandwich, this boy loves hanging out with his people and loving on them.  He'd go without food if it meant getting petted for just 5 minutes more. He plays and purrs all day and then naps preferably in your lap lol   This little has no fear issues and is just a darling boy that is ready to dance through your life with excitement and joy.   Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue if you are interested.   ccrnewengland@gmail.com Our vetting is extensive: Spay, rabies, FIV vaccine, FIV tested and negative, fecal and dewormings and a Drontal  and microchipped.
