Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Apply for cats at www.carmah.org All cats are first come first serve; sorry, we cannot reserve cats.  I’m Minerva, named for the Animagus who could turn into a cat. I am sleek with enchanting green eyes. I am looking for a human companion (or two!) who will talk to me. I can carry on my end of a conversation with trills and chats. I like to be scratched and patted. I may take a while to warm up but with care and love and just a little time, I will purr and roll for you. I love looking out the window and supervising the birds outside from my safe indoor perch. Toys, not so much, but I certainly enjoy a little catnip or cat grass. I seek out the softest and quieter spots for my naps - a girl has to keep up her good looks after all. I want to be your only cat to live out my golden years. I am 14 years old and in great health. Don't miss out on my magic!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Kittens under six months must have a cat buddy. Adoption fees are $325 for kittens under a year, $600 per pair $250 for cats 1-11 years, $175 for cats 12+ years ----------  Carmah is an all volunteer, no-kill cat rescue group serving the Marlborough/Hudson MA area and beyond. ---------- June 28, 2025, 11:06 am

Meet Olive (aka Oliva)! 🫒 Now living her best single-cat life, Olive is soaking up all the calm, quiet comforts of foster care—and proving she’s the ideal roomie. No more shelter hustle and bustle, and no need to share her space with other kitties! Her foster describes her as an easy, quiet house guest. Olive loves lounging in sunny windows, napping on cozy beds, and—believe it or not—playing fetch with her favorite mouse toy (yes, she actually brings it back!). She’s affectionate on her own terms and even seems to enjoy being held, often offering up sweet kisses and soft purrs when she’s feeling comfortable. If you’re looking for a mellow companion with just the right mix of independence, playfulness, and affection, Olive might be your perfect match.
