Story
Meet Jive! 🐾 Jive is a bold, playful, and super sweet brown short-haired boy who loves to be in the middle of the action. He’s got a ton of energy and a big personality to match — if there’s a feather wand or a tunnel around, he’s in it. When he’s not zooming through playtime, you’ll find him lounging by the window or basking in a cozy warm spot near the heat. This chatty guy isn’t shy about sharing his thoughts — he’ll vocalize when he wants attention or just feels like adding commentary to the day. Jive enjoys affection, but on his own terms (classic cat confidence). He’s fully litter trained, loves a good cat tree climb, and thrives with regular play sessions to help him burn off energy — especially since he can get a little talkative at night if he’s bored. Jive would prefer to be the only cat in the home, though he might do okay with the right calm companion. He hasn’t met dogs or kids in rescue, but would likely be fine with gentle introductions. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, expressive cat with a zest for life and a soft spot for cuddles and playtime, Jive’s your guy! 💛 Currently fostered with: Snuggles. I am fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for my age. Adoption Fee: $250 + applicable tax MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you’d like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting https://www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/ or clicking “Apply for Adoption”. Story
Sam came to us when he was around one years old. He was semi outdoor cat. She is currently permanently indoor cat. Sam likes to play on his time. He loves to be close to humans. head scratches are his thing. He drools when you scratch him. He acts like a kitten with his energy. As long as he gets to run around and nap all day he's good.I am allergic to cats and already have another one. I was to fostering him until I can find someone instead of shelter but my everyday life is horrible due to allergies.

Story
Milo (7) and Tobi (6) are bonded buddies searching for a calm, loving forever home where they can truly feel safe and understood. These gentle boys may be shy at first, but with patience and kindness, their sweet personalities begin to shine. Both Milo and Tobi are naturally cautious around new people and unfamiliar environments. They do best in a quiet home without a lot of sudden noises or activity. Once they feel comfortable, they show their affection in soft, meaningful ways. In the morning, they like to take their time waking up, observing their surroundings before greeting their favorite humans with gentle rubs and quiet companionship.Their days are peaceful and predictable. After breakfast, they enjoy long, cozy naps and spend time watching the outside world through the window. Birds, passing leaves, and sunlight provide endless entertainment. As evening approaches, they become a bit more social. If given the chance, they will happily curl up on the bed and sleep near you.Milo is the more outgoing of the two and enjoys interactive play. In the early to mid evening, he will often bring his favorite toy ball to invite you to a game of fetch. Tobi is more reserved and prefers to observe from a safe, cozy hiding spot, though he finds comfort staying close to Milo and will slowly build trust over time. They have a medium energy level, with playful moments balanced by long periods of rest and relaxation. They especially enjoy short play sessions in the mid afternoon.Milo and Tobi are currently living in a single family home with two adult foster parents, where they have had a stable and quiet environment.Their ideal home would be a calm and patient household with plenty of window views and a person or family willing to give them the time and space needed to form a strong bond. They would thrive with someone who understands shy cats and appreciates both Milo’s playful nature and Tobi’s gentle, quiet presence.- - - - - - - - - - - - -There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. Story
Daisy is a sweet, mature, almost-nine-year-old lady looking for her forever home! She was one of four girls born to a feral mama in an enclosed porch of an old home. The homeowner brought all four into his home, where they lived until he had to move to a nursing home.Daisy loves to be petted but needs her human to have patience until she can grow to trust them. Even then, she tends to be comfortable with being approached only in areas she has deemed “safe zones” – on her preferred chair, couch, bed, or an ottoman that sits next to you at the computer desk. This lovely lady will put her paws on your arm to be petted, but she does not want to sit in your lap.A discerning gourmet, this pretty girl is a big fan of her Temptation Chicken Treats and will eat them right out of your hand. After treats, she will snuggle in close for pets to her cheeks, head and all the way down her back to the base of her tail. An inquisitive lady, Daisy loves to play with a wand toy and catnip toys and will definitely have a daily “zoomie” moment. Her favorite places to hang out are on a window cat shelf, the top of the cat tree, or in her little cat house. She is looking for an extraordinary human with a special understanding of a cat that wants so much to be loved but has to present, initially, as being a bit reserved or stand-offish. The absolute best reward ever will be when, as she feels safer, her façade breaks down and you hear her loud engine purr as she sits next to you while being petted. This beautiful lady is very alert and watches your movements with bright green eyes. Once you have gained her trust, she allows affection in places where she feels comfortable. Daisy currently lives with four other cats, but she and her sister are separate from the other three when there is no supervision. She likes to be dominant and reminds me a bit of a German Shepherd, wanting to keep track of where all the other cats are and what they are doing. Because of this, I think Daisy would be happiest as an only cat, with humans who work from home or are around a lot.Daisy needs her humans to be patient, cat-savvy, and preferably have experience helping more reserved cats come out of their shell and feel confident and loved. She does get more outgoing once she feels at home, but because of her life experiences, she will probably always be a bit on the careful side. However, she is also loving and affectionate. There will be a tremendous reward for the person who can break through the barriers Daisy has created to protect herself, to discover how ready she is to give and receive love in her own way. Daisy has done that in her foster home and can do it again with the right person. Could that be with you? There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. Story
Horatio is a sweet little 9-month-old man looking for a forever home to knead his biscuits! This chill guy spends most of his days lounging. While he enjoys playing with toys, he will be just as happy relaxing with you while you do your thing. He comes alive at night and would love a night owl person to play with, but is also content to lie on top of you and cuddle while you sleep. He is an industrious young boy and is eager to show you how great his massive kitty mitts are at making biscuits; he is also very fond of rolling around while getting skritches on his shoulders and buns. Horatio is still working on his coordination and accidentally rolls off surfaces and falls over at times, but he always makes sure to be adorable in the process.(Can’t disappoint his fan base, right?)Even though he is young, this handsome fellow is pretty chill and low-key, but that doesn't mean he doesn't love to play. Once he knows you, he will happily play and pat gently with your feet while you work. It may take a bit to get him to open up, so he needs a little patience and kindness from his forever human. He currently lives in a house with 3 adults, a senior resident cat, and two resident adult pups. He gets along with everyone quite well and enjoys getting cleaned by both the cat and the shyer pup. He hasn’t met any children yet. He spends most of his mornings watching his foster mom work from home and most of his nights running about the house, singing the songs of his people.Horatio’s ideal home would be one where he can take his time getting to know you. He loves to snuggle, but it might take a little bit of time for him to open up. He does like other animals, and should go to a home with another feline friend to keep him company. Horatio does well with dogs overall, but becomes very uneasy with barking - a home with a fairly quiet dog would be best. Before getting neutered, he had some issues with marking, but that seems to be resolved now. He may need some help with continued litter box training for pooping, but he is making progress. Because he currently lives with a senior cat who cannot always get to the box in time, Horatio may be a bit confused about where pooping happens in the house. Kind, gentle redirection from his forever people will help him get back to his fastidious cat self! This adorable guy went through hard times before he discovered the cozy indoor life; he had some issues with mild frostbite and severe dehydration when we found him, but he seems to have recovered well. All he needs now is a warm, loving home, so he can continue to enjoy the beautiful life he deserves. Could that be with you? There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown.
