Story
Phoebe is a stunning long-haired gray girl with vivid green eyes and a quiet strength that tells the story of everything she’s overcome. Rescued from a hoarding situation with over 100 cats, she arrived in heartbreaking condition—underweight, matted, and in desperate need of care. Her name is a playful nod to her beginnings (yes, inspired by “Smelly Cat”), but Phoebe today is all about resilience, healing, and a personality that’s finally able to shine. With time, patience, and proper medical support, Phoebe has blossomed. Her coat is soft and full again, she’s at a healthy weight, and her quirky, expressive nature has come to life. She’s a chatty girl with a little sass—especially if meals are late or she feels overlooked—and she isn’t shy about sharing her opinions. Phoebe loves ear and butt scratches, enjoys the occasional belly rub (on her terms), and has a wonderful, rumbling purr. Phoebe does have ongoing medical needs. She requires a strict prescription diet and a daily medication she will likely need long-term. Both are manageable, and she does well with her routine, but she’ll need a committed adopter to keep her thriving. She would do best as the only cat in a calm home, likely without small children. Phoebe enjoys wand toys, catnip, and lounging beside you on the couch. While not quite a lap cat, she loves being close and will lean in for affection—making her an incredibly rewarding companion. Phoebe is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Adoption Fee: $275 + applicable tax MEET ME/ADOPT ME: If you’d like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting https://www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/ or clicking “Apply for Adoption”. Story
Meet Twinkie — the sweet, soft calico who’s equal parts cozy companion and active conversationalist. This beautiful medium-haired girl is very affectionate loves and needs attention and love, and has a warm personality that shines once she feels comfortable. Twinkie loves being near her people, enjoys pets on her terms, and has an adorable habit of chatting when she’s happy or seeking attention. While she’s cuddly, she prefers minimal handling and appreciates a family who respects her boundaries. Twinkie is great with other cats and would be delighted to share her home with a friendly feline companion. She does ok meeting dogs with slow introductions. She hasn’t met kids while in rescue, so slow, thoughtful introductions are recommended if kiddos are in her future home. Her energy level is a lovely mix — she enjoys bursts of play with her fish-on-a-string toy, then happily settles into a sunny spot or cozy cat bed for a long, peaceful nap. She’s fully litter trained, easygoing, and content to simply coexist with the people she loves. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, and talkative cat, Twinkie is ready to brighten your home with her charm and sweetness. Twinkie takes prednisolone and will need to continue with this medication long term. Twinkie fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We have had this cat for almost 11 years. She has lived with three kids, a cat, and a dog. She has never liked living with kids and other pets. It makes her very anxious. Therefore, scratches at furniture and meows alot to deal with it. She doesn't hide when she's anxious, which makes it difficult when children are over. They try to pet her, but she doesn't like it. She will hiss or almost nip at them. The homeowner is having some difficulties with anxiety and this pet is making that more difficult. She constantly meows and scratches at things. She often whines for wet food. The home owner is very busy with work, kids, cleaning, etc. This pet has put more stress on her. The cat came from Woodbury animal shelter. I think she would do best with a single person or a couple. I think someone who has a less busy lifestyle. Friendly, affectionate on her terms, uses litter box, doesn't like to be picked up, social on her terms.

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Yui is a 1 year old domestic medium hair tabby that I adopted through PetSmart. She’s spayed, microchipped, healthy, and very sweet once she feels comfortable. She can be shy at first and needs patience while adjusting, but once she trusts you she’s very affectionate and loves head pats, rubbing against people, and staying close to her person while still enjoying her own space. She’s a huge foodie and especially loves seafood wet food. She eats both wet and dry food and also loves treats. Yui enjoys playing with toys, especially wand toys, but overall she’s calm, observant, and loves quiet environments and looking out the window. Yui would do best in a calm adult-only home as the only pet. She gets anxious around other animals, crowded environments, and does not do well with children due to past experiences. She’s gentle, rarely scratches or bites, and is a very loving companion once comfortable.
