Story
Milo is 3.5 years old. We got her when she was about 9 weeks. My son brought her home from a friend’s house whose cat had kittens. She’s a sweet girl, not overly friendly but not mean. She doesn’t need to be pet a lot, but loves belly rubs and likes to snuggle on your lap. She has toys that she will play with. She’s well trained and likes to be inside and outside. She definitely needs outside time, so looking for someone that can be there to let her out and back in. I have a tracker on her so keep a close eye on her and then have a Ring camera to let me know when she returns. She will stay out not more than 2 hours and usually at night. I did not want a cat and my son brought her home but now doesn’t have time to be with her. I would like to see her go to a good home with someone that can love her and give her the attention she deserves. She hasn’t been around little kids but is probably better off with older kids.

Story
I adopted Colby as a kitten 9 years ago. He has accompanied me through several homes and phases of life. He is a sweet, anxious boy who is fairly solitary but enjoys snuggling in bed or sitting with you. He is shy around new people but when he gets to know you, is cuddly and chatty. When people come over, he typically hides under the bed. Change makes him anxious and he prefers a routine and not too much disruption in the house. 6 years ago we adopted another cat. While they get along most of the time, when there is change or stress in the house, Colby struggles to be around the other cat, who is more playful, without fighting. Unfortunately the introduction of a newborn into our house has changed the household dynamic too much and Colby is struggling to adapt. While he seems okay with the newborn, he and the other cat have been fighting since. He would prefer a new home that is quiet with no other pets. Small children probably aren't a good match for Colby either.

Story
Leonard is a very loving 11 year old cat who was adopted with his sister Bernice after they were abandoned at a shelter. He LOVES humans and large dogs and constantly wants to be cuddling with someone. He’s very talkative and wants to be where the action is. He has no claws and is up to date on shots. While Leonard and Bernice get along, they do not need to be adopted together.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $100 plus taxI’m Huggie!  I’m a sweet relaxed senior with a gentle soul.  I’m dog savvy and I live with two other cats and three noisy excitable dogs.  I would be a perfect companion for a family with older children who want a quiet friendly pet with excellent house manners.Huggie does have early stage kidney disease, he will need to be on prescription food for kidneys.  If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Story
Reintroducing SIMBA! This stunning nine year old boy is 99% lover and 1% cranky neighbor who doesn’t want any fellow cats playing in his “yard.” Simba came to us over a year ago after being rescued from euthanasia. He was overweight, diabetic, matted, had skin and nail infections, diabetic neuropathy, and was in desperate need of a dental. After shaving off some pounds, treating his infections, a dental visit, and some loving attention, Simba has been restored to his former glorious self and is now ready for a long-term foster home as his current foster is relocating to another state.   Simba loves being brushed head to toe, chin rubs, and attention of any kind. He responds by drooling in joy and with a roaring purr. Belly rubs? No problem here – he’ll happily present his belly (and everything else) for an extended tummy tickle or a four paw nail trim. Talk about easy – if we didn’t know any better…we’d think he had professional groomer experience. He is adorably wobbly (uncertain of cause but could be residual diabetic neuropathy) so we have added a supplement to his food to try and boost his strength. To date, his weakened back end has gotten no better or worse and does not impede his “zoomies” after a good litter box visit! Another fun fact about wobbly cats? It means Simba is the polar opposite of a counter jumper! As a matter of fact, if he needs to get on anything higher than a couch...pet stairs do the trick. He will want a set by your bed as his favorite place to sleep is with you. Simba has been in diabetic remission for over a year and has not been on any insulin. We hope to keep him that way by controlling his diet and occasional glucose monitoring.   He comes with a lifetime commitment of litter, food, meds, and all the vet care needed for the rest of life. What he needs is a soft, loving place to fall, and a pet parent who will be patient getting him settled into new surroundings. His ideal home would be a quieter one. Maybe with someone who works from home (or no longer works) who has no other pets. He’s been waiting a long time for the right home and we are committed to providing everything a new foster needs. All you need to add is love (and twice a day feedings).   Who wants to meet this boy and discuss adding him to your family? LET'S MEET! Please email s.o.s.representative@gmail.com for an application to be Simba's long-term foster. Simba is available for meet and greets with pre-approved applicants!   ADOPTION INFORMATION: All of our cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriate), Feline Leukemia/FIV tested, de-parasited & micro-chipped before being adopted out. All applicants must meet our adoptable cats in person. We do not ship any of our animals to adopters. Thank you and please contact us with any questions. November 5, 2024, 4:07 pm

Story
Antoinette is a gorgeous and sweet little tortie. This pretty girl is a little shy and needs some time to warm up, but once she does, she very much enjoys cuddle time with other kitties and people! She would love a home where she would be given the time to open up at her own pace. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2106597##
