You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!     Beatnik is a quiet, thoughtful soul — the kind of cat who prefers to observe life from the shadows before deciding whether humans are worthy of his presence. If you’re looking for a cat who will leap into your lap on day one… Beatnik gently suggests you browse the dogs instead. But if you appreciate the slow burn of a cat who chooses you on his timeline, this mysterious little poet might be your perfect match. He’s timid at first and will absolutely hide while he figures out his new world. He doesn’t hiss, swat, or show aggression — he simply prefers to disappear until he feels safe. But once he settles in, he blossoms quietly. He bonds beautifully with other cats, nuzzles them at night, and plays with toys when the house is still. He enjoys soft food, nighttime toy adventures, and the freedom to explore at his own pace. Beatnik is litterbox trained, gentle, intelligent, and wonderfully low‑maintenance. He’s not a fan of chaos, loud commotion, or pushy dogs, but he does well with calm cats, respectful kids, and patient adults. He’s the definition of an independent, aloof companion who will one day surprise you with a head bump or a slow blink that feels like winning the lottery. Beatnik won’t be the cat who loves you instantly — but he will be the cat who loves you deeply once he decides you’re his person. For the right adopter, earning his trust will be one of the most rewarding relationships you’ll ever have. Please note that this is a strictly indoor cat. This kitten may may require a home with another kitten as kittens are family oriented and do best when adopted in littermate pairs. Please fill out a Feline application here: https://underdogrescuemn.com/adoption-applications/feline-adoption-application/ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.      Meow! I’m a beautiful 12 lb. female long haired tabby. I’m still a young lady around 1-3 years old. Foster mom describes me as being very sweet but a little skittish. I want to be loved on all of the time. I’m always hoping for a neck or back scratch, but I love any kind of petting. I’m a super purr machine! Some people call me a munchkin because I have short, stubby legs and big paws. But whatever I am called I am adorable. I love to eat and am very food motivated. Because I had several teeth removed, I might be best suited for soft food and treats though I eat my kitty kibble like a little champion. I talk to my foster mom when she brings me my dinner. She seems to love that I talk to her. Foster mom calls me her super cute and special girl. Besides being loved on my favorite thing to do is sleep on a comfy chair or bed. I like to have a scratchy post and will entertain myself in bags or small spaces where I feel safe.  The best environment for me would be in a quiet home where I am the only pet. Overwhelming noise and commotion scare me. I don’t like it when the foster family dog and cat get too close to me. I’m so docile and easy to push around that I get scared and try to smack them. But I love when my foster mom picks me up to love on me. I might be OK, though, with another very sweet cat.  I can't wait to meet you to see if we might be a great match!   Please fill out a Feline application here: https://underdogrescuemn.com/adoption-applications/feline-adoption-application/   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Story
Hi, I’m Pip! 🧡 I’m basically the life of the party around here. If you see kittens running through the house, wrestling, chasing toys, or causing adorable chaos… there’s a very good chance I started it. I LOVE to play, and I make sure everyone around me is having fun too! I’ve got tons of energy, a huge personality, and an even bigger heart. I’m always exploring, zooming around, and looking for my next adventure. But don’t let all my wild kitten energy fool you — I’m also super loving and enjoy getting attention and cuddles when I finally slow down. My favorite thing is making people laugh with my silly antics and playful spirit. I never want anyone to feel bored when I’m around! Life is just too exciting not to enjoy every second of it. I’m looking for a forever family that will love my fun personality, play with me, and let me fill their home with happiness, laughter, and lots of orange-tabby chaos. I promise to keep life entertaining and full of love. 🐾

Story
Hello my name is Smungus, I'm from Minnesota! From his foster; Gus is beginning to adventure out. He's shy at first, but after a few days he's absolutely loved pets, toys, and his favorite spot on a blanket. He loves curling up in a lap and hanging out all day. He's starting to become more adventurous, exploring the house and playing with more and more toys. He's fully litter trained, and does not have any food dependencies.

Story
Hi, my name is Monkey and I'm from Minnesota. Monkey is the cuddliest cat! He loves any sort of attention, and will happily play with toys before cuddling up on your lap. He settled in very easily and is currently working on becoming closer with his foster brother cat. He is a sweetheart and is sure to make the perfect companion! From the Foster: He has a few wounds around his neck that have been treated with medication and are mostly healed. He is missing some hair around these areas, but it should grow back once his skin is fully healed!
