Story
Meet your new shadow. If you are looking for a tiny, chatty best friend who thinks she is the center of the universe, look no further. This stunning dilute calico queen is officially looking for her forever throne. She is a world-class lap cat and a total flirt who will roll around to show off her belly and stretch out her toes just to show you how cute she is. She is a bit of a chatty talker and has plenty to say with her kitten-like meows. Since she is a long-haired beauty, she does require a fair amount of routine brushing, her royal treatment. She is not much of a player and prefers lounging and being pampered over chasing after toys. She has decided she is officially retired from sharing her space with other cats and wants to be the only-cat and no dogs. She wants one hundred percent of your love, one hundred percent of the time, ready to be the spoiled princess she was born to be.April 12, 2026, 7:41 am

Story
Hi, my name is Chris and my sister Lucy (CH-Lucy) and I are looking for a very special person. You see, our human mom took us off the streets as feral cats when we were really young - as cats go, but probably as feral cats go, really too late to 'flip us', to be regular house cats. I have become more outgoing, as time has gone by, but, my human mom has always referred to Lucy as 'a ghost' I think you could actually say that I am the emotional support animal for Lucy (and she is mine) I could be a 24/7 lap cat. I love getting my belly rubbed and being brushed. When I came to SCC, I was pretty matted on my belly, but my foster person and I worked on getting all of those nasty felted mats off of my belly. That feels so nice now. We are ramping down on 12 years old now. SCC got us a senior blood panel and in the scheme of things, we are doing alright. Let me tell you about me. I am quite a bit bigger than my sister, and a very fluffy boy. I am a lot more outgoing than my sister, but still timid. As you can see from our pics, we are very bonded and are often perched together by the window, watching the world go by. We also like to play with catnip mice inside crinkly, kitty tunnels. And I really like treats! The cats in the foster home we are in come to visit us. I like to give them head-butts and am never aggressive with the visitors. Lucy stays back in the shadows and is not so welcoming. We would be best in a quiet home environment, like with retirees that live a quiet life, and are home more. If friends or family do come to visit, they might not see us, but you should know that we will be waiting for your company to leave so that we can come out. As you might assume, kids are a bit noisy for us, and even though we had a dog in our lives before, we can do without that. We are current on our vaccines and microchipped and are very good with our litterbox. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 7, 2026, 3:28 pm

Story
DOB-11/1/25 Katniss and Peeta arrived at our shelter back in January with a pretty rough start, battling a severe case of ringworm. These sweet babies spent their early days in quarantine, getting medicated baths and lots of care to help them heal. Now, nearly three months later, they’ve been medically cleared and are more than ready to start the lives they’ve been waiting for. 💛 These two are absolute purr machines—full of love, affection, and personality. They adore people just as much as they adore each other, and their bond is something truly special. Katniss and Peeta are looking for a forever home where they can stay together—a family who will shower them with love and help them make up for the time they missed. If you’re looking for double the love, double the cuddles, and double the joy, these two are ready to steal your heart. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Peeta and Katniss are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Story
Shadow Fax was brought to us with four kittens. She had guardians that provided as much protection as they could but live in Hockinson and was not a safe spot for her to go back to. She has a healed head injury and a bite wound on her leg which we suspect contributes to an extreme overreaction to fear. The source of fear may come from wildlife, outside human activities, dog barking, anything that she sees as threatening her safety. When she feels under threat, she is destructive while trying to escape (blinds, screens, other property in the way of her means of escape) and will bite if you try to control her when she is in this state. She has the ability to bond with people and will then tolerate being picked up and handled, purring even…but when she’s afraid, she is fierce. Over the past year, she has acclimated to a home environment but hovers around the edges, sometimes getting startled at sudden movements or loud, unexpected noises. She chortles when feeling sociable and will sleep on the bed at night. She then gets silly during those moments when you wake up and she’s there, flopping about for pets and tapping your fingers. She is now much more comfortable about being approached by a trusted human and picked up. She adores the male cat in the household. We understand she is an accomplished mouser so, as much as it pains us, we are looking for a safe place (catio, shop, barn) where she will have shelter indoors or out, or if you are willing to give her a long adjustment period, a house setting. We think it best if she had the companionship of another cat or colony. If Shadow seems like a cat you could accept into your life, please go to sccpets.com and fill out an app. She is spayed and vaccinated and will be microchipped when adopted. Spread the word...Thank you.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 7, 2026, 3:28 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Louie. I lost my person and my extended family is doing their best to help me. They have reached out to SCC to find me a home. I am about a year old and could be a great companion for someone that needs a friend. I might be a bit timid at first, as I adjust to my new life with you. I lived in a quiet home with my human so younger kids might be a bit noisy for me. Older kids might be a bit better. I might do well with a cat playmate, especially if you have one of those job things. Slow introductions are always better. I don't have any dog experience, so let's skip that. I have lived an indoor life and that suits me just fine. I will be microchipped and updated on the RCP vaccine as a part of the adoption process. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.April 13, 2026, 12:02 am
