Story
Coraline is a very vocal when she wants something or is not happy with something, she will let you know. She`s also a professional hider and can be shy if she doesn`t know you, but once she gets use to you she loves attention and being pet. Though she is not a lap cat she does love lots of pets and head scratches. She loves keeping herself hydrated and when she`s out of water she let`s you know she needs a refill. Coraline often keeps to herself but does enjoy the company of her companions and human friends but only on her terms. She`s a very mellow kitty that enjoys being in a mellow environment with low activity and calm vibes, so no loud noises and running around. She`s a big foodie so she`ll warm up faster to you with treats and food offerings.

Story
Taco is a young male tuxedo with the cutest little bend in his tail—something he was born with and wears proudly like a quirky signature. Just like his sister, he’s full of playful energy and loves a good game of chase or wrestling match with other cats. After playtime, Taco turns into a total cuddle bug who loves to snuggle up next to you or even on your lap. He’s friendly, people-oriented, and always nearby, ready for affection. He hasn’t been around children yet, so we don’t know how he would do with them. Taco has had limited exposure to dogs and is a bit wary, but he hasn’t shown fear or aggression—just caution. With more gentle exposure and reassurance, he could likely adjust well. Taco would make a loving companion in a home where he has playtime, snuggles, and people or pets to keep him company.

Story
Hera, 2 years old is a work-in-progress reformed feral cat loves attention and affection when she is in the mood. She was born on the street with Dauntless and took a lot longer than Dauntless to adjust being inside. There are moments where Hera seems like she's bipolar: one moment she'll be okay and happy, then the next she'll be agitated and hiss. (But I think that's partly because she doesn't do too well with a lot of other cats and she doesn't do too well with other females who act like "queens" of the house). There are other moments when she likes to just lay next to you and sleep, but not be petted or held, but there are other moments where she likes to play with toys, specifically lasers and feathers. She loves to eat and she especially loves wet food. She loves shelves and cat trees with soft beds and she likes to hang out on balconies, but, because she used to be a feral, I would make sure the space is enclosed. Hera was born on the streets and has been with with my family since we picked her up off the street and it's taken her a little while to warm up to us and become accustomed to being inside so it will take her a little bit of time getting accustomed to a new home and owner. Once she gets used to her new home and family, she'll settle down and as long as she feels like she isn't going to hop from one family to the next, she'd be an amazing new companion. Hera really is a loving and sweet little girl. She would do best as an only cat or maybe a second cat who's a male and she did okay with our older dog, though she mostly just ignored him. Why we're rehoming her: She doesn't do well with my black female cat and she deserves to be in a home where she gets more attention than she already does.   Hera lives in Gresham with her family and her rehoming fee is $30.  Indoor only please.   For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the foster parent for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.   Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 11, 2025, 9:14 pm

Story
In the summer there's nothing more that Mabel likes to do than to spend most of the day outside laying in a shady spot. At night she'll come inside for pets and to curl up next to you (not on top of you). And in the winter, Mabel will still go outside for a few hours but she prefers to curl up next to her favorite person or find a cozy spot to rest.   Mabel is a gentle senior lady of 12 years and a beautiful soul who doesn't scratch furniture and loves to scratch her post. She has a spry step, and she's docile and smart. We have coyotes where we live, but she knows how to avoid them. Good with kids and other cats. We can tell that she was a mother in her past with the way she behaves with younger cats.   Mabel is a talker and always announces herself when she enters the house. She'll also do a specific meow when she's looking for pets. She isn't the type of cat who will walk against your leg for attention, but she'll either come up and meow or come near and sit down to wait patiently. Mabel has early stage kidney disease. However, this has been a minimal disruption. As long as she eats her kidney-friendly kibble, the condition should be fully managed, not progress and should not impact her health or vet visits. Since we switched her food six months ago, Mabel has had her normal energy level and is doing great.   One last thing to note, some cats are heavy shedders and get their fur all over your clothes. With Mabel, this is not the case, so your clothes will remain clean.  Mabel's rehoming fee is $75 and she lives in Portland with her owner.   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Story
Kitty is a beautiful 13-year-old tortoiseshell who is as affectionate as they come. She’s a total lap cat who loves to snuggle and soak up attention, and despite her age, she still has a playful side — especially when chaser toys, or her own tail, are involved! Curious by nature, Kitty always wants to be part of whatever you’re doing and will happily “help” with your day-to-day tasks. She would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can be the only animal and have plenty of company throughout the day. Kitty enjoys gentle companionship and would do well with respectful children who understand animal body language. Her perfect day includes a warm lap, a few chin scratches, and a chance to explore the outdoors to take in all the new smells and sounds. Kitty is being rehomed through no fault of her own — her current owner’s schedule has changed, meaning she’s often home alone, which has caused some stress-related litter box issues. With more time, attention, and a peaceful environment, Kitty will quickly settle back into her happy, loving self.  Kitty lives in Portland with her owner and her rehoming fee is $50. This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM.
