Story
** COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Shyla was trapped at Trader Joe’s in Monrovia with her siblings Natalia & Liam. We believe they were callously dumped with their mom in the back alleyway and illegally abandoned. Mom thought she did a good job of hiding them in the warehouse while searching for food, but during the busy day, she couldn't get to them until the store closed at night. We got the call for help and trapped all three kittens for fostering until they were social and ready for adoption. Shyla really wants her own person to love and she will make someone very happy and loved. We would love to see her in a home where she can blossom. Shyla loves to play. * Date of Birth: Sept 2019 (approx) * Breed/Color: DSH Dilute Tortie * Eye Color: Green * Spayed * Vaccinated * FELV/FIV Combo Tested: Negative (Both) * Microchipped * Flea Treatment * Dewormed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural, Unscented * Scratch Post Preference: All Natural Rope Sisal or Cardboard ADOPT-A-PET FORMS EXPLANATION: * Adoption Application: If you are ready to adopt, filling out an adoption application gets the adoption process moving forward for approval & home delivery. Story
Thank you for looking at and bringing awareness to our group out rescuing cats & kittens strictly from the streets. * COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER ** Say hello to handsome Cullen! Cullen was found in Glendora, in the middle of the street by a postal worker. She was trying to shoo him out of the street so he wouldn't get hit when surprisingly, one of our prior adopters saw what was happening and lent a helping hand. The kitten ran underneath a parked car (our adopters) and he jumped into the wheel well. They could not get Cullen to come out, so they had the car towed to their local mechanic. He removed the wheel and reached in to remove the kitten for our adopter, who then contacted us. He was scooped up by one of our volunteer fosters and he has grown into a wonderful little guy! Cullen is a beautiful marbled or mackerel tabby who is friendly, outgoing and curious. He likes to be held and of course, loves to play all the time with his best friend Lala. We'd love to see them adopted together because he will need a buddy to play with. He enjoys being around other cats and will be occupied while you are at work, sports or school! He is of course named after Edward Cullen of Twilight! Kids: He is good with older, mature kids Cats: He takes a few days to acclimate, but then he is good with other cats who are tempered and playful. Dogs: He is not good with dogs * Date of Birth: March 2021 (approx) * Color/Breed: Brown Mackerel or Marbled Tabby * Eye Color: Green * Neutered * Vaccinated * Microchipped * Dewormed * Flea Treated: Revolution * Nails Trimmed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural & Unscented * Scratching Post Preference: Rope Sisal & Cardboard * Best Friend: Lala * Ask about our Adopt-A-Pair program to keep best friends & siblings together! COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER: Meet the adorable Dario! He definitely loves the company of another feline and we’d love to see this pair adopted together! Kids: He would do well with older, quieter kids. Story
* COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER: Jewel was a street cat nobody cared about. She was trapped along with her babies and allowed to nurse them for the first couple of months. After that, her kittens were distributed among different rescues, but nobody wanted anything to do with Jewel. Why? She is such a sweetheart! They were going to just put her back out on the streets where neighbors had already threatened to dispose of her somehow. Thankfully, she was rescued from that situation and brought into a foster home where she met her best friend, El Gringo. El Gringo really helped her break out of her shell. She can still be a little shy at first, understandably, but she loves treats and being pet more than anything. She gravitates more to women and would be a great kitty for someone with a quieter lifestyle. Story
Folder is a charming, amusing feline who loves to seek out your attention! Once she moves into your home, you won’t understand how you ever spent a day without her. Folder is a social girl who always enjoys being near her family. She may need some time to adjust to a new environment, but with patience and treats—emphasis on the treats—she’ll soon be meowing for pets and asking to play! Once Folder settles into your home, she’ll walk around like a queen, and she very well deserves the title.  Folder’s foster caregiver shared with us that she just adores playtime. Whether it’s daytime or evening, she is always up for a game of chasing toys around! She’ll have you laughing as she skitters across the room, running after the ping pong ball that rolled across the floor. If it’s always the right time for playtime, Folder may be the kitty for you! Children may be new to Folder. A Matchmaker will be happy to explore if she is the right fit for your family! Folder previously lived with cats, but it is unknown if she enjoyed their company. It is unknown how Folder would do with a dog. A Matchmaker can give you tips to help set Folder up for success! If you’re ready to bring this wonderful soul into your life, please click the “Adopt Me” button to complete an application for Folder here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/61fb32d9-a583-487d-a507-26a69357887d   *The ASPCA Adoption Center encourages a $150 suggested adoption fee when adopting an animal. Are you ready to fall for Niagara? This special cat is about to make a big splash into your life! Niagara can be a little bit shy with new people, so it’s best to let him come to you when he’s ready. His ideal adopter will give him all the time he needs to adjust to his new home. With patience and lots of yummy treats, you will soon be swimming in affection! He especially loves head scratches, and he may even thank you for the massage by sitting in your lap! With Niagara in your home, you may sometimes hear the roaring sound of a waterfall, but that’s just him snoring! His foster says he has the cutest, softest little snore during naptime. When Niagara isn’t napping, his other favorite activity is snacking! He loves his crunchy cat treats and is always happy to chow on some. Hopefully you’ll have some ready for him! Niagara is deaf. A Matchmaker can provide you with more information about his medical needs. Adopters should use a slow approach and avoid forced interactions with Niagara.  Niagara is looking for a home with teens and up. Story
Her name is Lola, and she could be a show cat! This precious gal is not only super adorable but is also the sweetest kitty around! Lola’s foster has nothing but wonderful things to say about her! They say that she is the most lovable social butterfly. A day-in-the-life with her will include lots of head scratches, gentle headbutts, pets and cuddles! If you’re lucky enough, when Lola is looking for a place to take a quick catnap, she may just choose your chest to snuggle up and get cozy on. While Lola doesn’t care much for treats, she does love to play! If you throw a catnip toy, she will jump up, try to catch it in midair or chase after it and then wait for you to throw it again. Lola is also very curious and loves to perch herself somewhere up high. That’s how she supervises her humans while they roam about the house. But don’t go too far! If you’re behind a closed door, Lola will sit outside of it and meow, patiently awaiting your return. Lola is looking for a home with no other pets. She prefers the attention all to herself! Put aside your four-leaf clovers and horseshoes—this kitty is the only good luck Charm you need! When Charm first arrived at the Adoption Center, she was very shy and needed some time to settle in and get comfortable. After a little while, she truly blossomed into a sweet and affectionate young girl! When Charm moved to a foster home, she showed similar shy behavior again and needed a few days to warm up. Her foster now reports that she will greet them with a meow or two and immediately come up to ask for lots of pets! Charm is a chatty cat and can hold her side of the conversation! She will ever-so-sweetly meow for attention, or to let you know she wants some snacks. Her love language is pets, head pats, pets, chin scratches, pets, head rubs, pets and more pets! She will let you know she’s enjoying all the attention with loud, reverberating purrs! Charm also loves to play and gets her exercise from zoomies around the house. Charm is looking for a home with kids eight and up. Adopters should use a slow approach and avoid forced interactions. Charm previously lived well with other cats. Story
Meet the charming Azrael! This delightful feline is not only a master of play—particularly enjoying feather toys—but he’s also a social butterfly. Azrael is a handsome boy who is initially a bit shy around new faces, but given some time to warm up, he becomes a purring machine and will shower you with affectionate licks. His love of playtime is definitely a great way to build a bond with him. He is always ready to bat around a crinkly ball or chase after laser dots! Azrael is also a pro at making friends with other cats, showcasing his friendly and easygoing nature. Azrael loves the simple things in life. He kicks off the day with a good stretch and a yawn, then finds a sunny spot for a comfy nap. When it’s time to burn some energy, all you need to do is jingle one of his toys with bells, and he’ll come running! He really enjoys chasing after bell toys, and it’s a lot of fun to watch him jump around and bat at them. In the evenings, it's all about chilling on your lap for some cozy time together. These little routines make every day with Azrael warm and fuzzy! In Azrael’s ideal home, he would have lots of space to explore and an adopter who is ready to provide him with endless play. He gets along quite well with other cats, but he has yet to meet any dogs or children, which would be new for him. As long as Azrael gets to spend quality time with his people, he’ll be a happy kitty in your home! Adopters should know that Azrael was found to have crystals in his urine, so he was prescribed a urinary diet to improve those symptoms. We encourage discussing crystalluria and urinary diets with your veterinarian to determine if Azrael needs this diet in the long term. At the time of adoption, we will provide you with a supply of this food to allow time to establish care with your veterinarian. Azrael has also had mild, chronic watery discharge from one of his eyes. This is likely a result of a minor viral infection, known as Feline Herpesvirus. This is a common virus for cats to have, and some experience minor eye-related symptoms as a result, especially following stressful events. Our Adoption Team would be happy to provide more information about Azrael’s medical history and expected future care. If you’re looking for a furry companion who brings joy, laughter and a whole lot of love, look no further than Azrael! Click the “Adopt Me” button to submit an application here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/cc52b40e-884a-4b8c-969e-6f8bba740c3a March 25, 2024, 3:13 pm

Story
Mr Clarence is an opinionated gentleman and is always up for a good chat over a plate of treats. He is a distinguished sir, sporting a natty grey coat with tabby markings and clean white socks. He's a good "hisser," but nothing comes of those, especially if you offer him a treat. Always up for a good head massage, Mr Clarence will win any staring contest to convince you that its time for attention and pats. He is a big boy and would do well with someone who is ready to learn his special ways and hold intellectual conversations because he has a lot to say. He'll be shy at first, but will open up when he gets comfy. Can anyone turn those hisses into kisses? Born 2021. Apply directly to our website.
