She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Meet Montana! Hi! My name is Montana, and I am approximately four years old and weigh 56 pounds. My people think I may be a Dutch Shepherd mix, but that’s just their best guess. I am a sweet, easygoing girl who is on the calmer side. I don’t require an excessive amount of exercise and would be perfectly happy taking a daily stroll and then settling in with you to watch some doggy flicks on the boob tube. That being said, if you’re looking for a dog to join you on longer walks and adventures, I’m up for that too! I’m pretty flexible as long as I get to be with my people. I am super sweet and warm up quickly to everyone I meet. I really haven’t met a stranger! I also get along well with other dogs and would happily share my forever home with a furry brother or sister. I have never been cat tested, though, so my people are going to say no furry felines for me. My life hasn’t always been easy. I came into rescue after having a litter of puppies while trying to survive life on the streets. Thankfully, someone stepped up and helped us. I did my job as a mama and kept my babies safe until we were rescued. Now that my puppies no longer need me, I think it’s finally my turn to have someone take care of me. I am house trained and crate trained, and I walk well on a leash. I’m also not one of those dogs who feels the need to bark at every little thing. Another fun fact about me: I love the water! Maybe there are some beach days, lake trips, or other water adventures in my future. I can already picture myself enjoying the sunshine and splashing around with my new family. At the end of the day, I’m simply looking for a family of my own. I’ve already spent plenty of time taking care of others. Now I’m ready for a soft bed, lots of love, some fun adventures, and people who will take care of me for a change. I am spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. Meet Jazzy. She is a wonderful combination of athleticism and being the best cuddler in the world. She is playful with all dogs, curious but respectful around cats and is ready to snuggle or play with her people. She is the most even keeled dog I've ever had with very positive energy. Story
Meet Nala! Nala is a 6 year old GSD mix who came to us in rough shape. At her former home she was tied to a pole by a leash and left outside during the day and crated at night, which for an active breed is a nightmare. She was underweight, had raw spots everywhere, hadn't been to the vet in over 3 years, and was scared. We also discovered a lump under her left ear, which had turned out to be a Mast Cell Tumor. Thankfully it was low-grade and we were able to have it removed, so she is cancer free! We have helped Nala come out of her shell, got her fully vaccinated and microchipped, and up to a healthy weight. Now that we've got her thriving, she is ready to go on to her forever home! Nala is a big sweetheart who just wants to be near her people. She has a bit of separation anxiety, and doesn't do well with other dogs, so she would need to be an only dog or go to someone with experience in socializing/proper introductions. A fenced yard would be ideal for Nala. Message for more info!
