She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED This beautiful brindle boy hasn’t found his forever home yet! Juno is a ~4-5 year-old, 60lb Shepherd mix found as a stray in CA. Although his appearance is a mix of stunning with a hint of intimidating, Juno is a very sweet and loving boy! He loves to be out exploring with his person and would make an amazing adventure companion, especially for someone who enjoys the outdoors! He is very sweet with his handler and will sometimes jump up to give a hug out of excitement of just being with his person. He will be a very loyal dog to whoever adopts him, and is looking for a person to call his own! Juno will need an active family with a standalone home that has a yard for him to run and explore. He is incredibly smart and will thrive with adopters who will continue his training and provide him the physical and mental stimulation he requires. He is very smart however, and learns quickly! He already knows sit, down, and “happy spin” when being fed. Juno can be somewhat selective about other dogs and wouldn’t mind being the only dog. However, he could do well as an additional dog to a home with a proper introduction and proper boundaries set in the home. He walks incredibly well on leash, and would love to find his forever home soon that can appreciate how amazing he is! Juno is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and not tested with cats. His adoption fee is $400.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to this gorgeous boy, Falcon! He is a ~2 year old, 75-80lb Dutch Shepherd mix who came to us after possibly being dumped with a group of dogs in CA. He is hoping to have a better shot at his perfect family in WA! Falcon is a sweet boy and enjoys adventuring with his people. He walks well on leash and would thrive in a home that continued basic obedience and enjoyed being active with him. He is affectionate and loves spending time with people. He has been okay with other dogs in our care but we are still getting to know him since he is new to us. If you are interested in this sweet boy and have a dog in the home, we will schedule a meet to ensure the pups get along great prior to adoption. He would likely be best suited with dogs that are similar in size to him. Falcon is on the waitlist to be neutered, is UTD on shots, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500.

My name means "beautiful" and "delightful" and it is so fitting, because I have a gorgeous brindle coat and a sweet face. I was rescued from a California shelter, and now have been waiting patiently for someone to notice me! I am gentle with people, and am friendly with most dogs, though I can get jealous at times. Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Skid is currently at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport near one of the cities listed at bottom. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. -Skid is a male, possibly Dutch Shepherd/Plott Hound mix and is around 20 months old. ~55-60 pounds -Tested Heartworm Negative December 11th and has been on prevention since. -He came into the shelter of July 2023 as a 2 month old puppy and deserves more than life in a shelter. He was recently pulled by our rescue. He is our longest term resident and deserves a home with a loving family. -Skid does well with other dogs. -He has been to multiple public events and seems to do well with children. -He loves people as well and walks well on a leash. -Can be a tad shy at first but warms up quickly. -He loves to take toys into his doghouse in his kennel and play with them. -Walks well on a leash. -Can be tested with cats upon request -He has been professionally groomed and did a great job! -Video of Skid: https://youtube.com/shorts/IWq1HqJdjnw?feature=share -Video of Skid recently on local news: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/18hbwzfx4G/ Skid is neutered, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella), has been dewormed, a negative heartworm test, on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention.
