Story
Edit: At the moment looking for temporary rehome? If so don’t mind price. Hi! This is Cyrus. He's about 2 years old. He has a deformed front paw, (birth defect weak pastern) but other than that I'd say he's perfectly healthy.I love this dog dearly, but I'm 21 and l need to honestly be focusing on a career and that means I can't spend as much time on/with him as him and I would both want. I also have a cat which he's been separated from. He needs someone who can be a good leader. He's a good boy. He's never tested me, but he has grown very protective. This may need some training. He's not a fan of kids from what I know- they freak him out.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Juno! Juno is a 5-year-old, 60 lb Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. With his stunning brindle coat and soulful eyes, Juno may look a little intimidating at first glance ~ but he’s truly a sweet, loving, and loyal boy once you get to know him! Juno bonds deeply with his people and loves being out and about with his handler. He would make an excellent adventure companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. He’s affectionate, eager to be close to his person, and may even jump up for an enthusiastic “hug” when he’s excited to see you. Once Juno chooses his person, he’s all in. He’s a smart, eager-to-please dog who thrives with structure and consistency. Juno already knows sit, down, and his adorable “happy spin” at mealtime, and he would do great in a home that wants to continue working on training while providing both mental and physical outlets. Juno walks well on leash and enjoys getting out for walks and exploring. He would do best in a standalone home with a fully fenced yard (no apartments or condos) where he has space to decompress and move freely. When it comes to other dogs, Juno can do well with canine companions, especially with slow, thoughtful introductions. He has made dog friends and enjoys playing, particularly with larger female dogs, which tend to be his favorite match. He could also be happy as an only dog. An adult-only home or a home without young children (and no cats) is recommended, as Juno is strong, enthusiastic, and still working on some manners. Juno has so much love and loyalty to give ~ he’s just waiting for the right person or family to see what an incredible dog he truly is! Juno is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Leggs is a resilient 32 pound, 8 month old pup working hard to become part of the world around him. While he’s naturally timid because he was feral the first three months of his life, he’s been bravely approaching new challenges and turned into the most amazing dog at home. Leggs is very intelligent and sensitive. He’s a bit cuddler and loves wrapping himself up in a blanket and hunkering down with his soft toys. He’s fantastic on a leash and incredibly gentle with myself, my children, and other dogs (including my super senior). He tries to play with cats, but also respects their space. He is crate trained, goes to the door when he needs to go potty, leash trained, and doing well on basic obedience and threshold training. He’s done well on trips to the park, long-leash walking on nature trails, and trips to pet-friendly stores such as Petco. His perfect home would be one that understands his initial need to decompress. After that, you can expect the most loyal and intuitive companion. Leggs is being fostered in Texas but can be transported out of state. You can apply directly for Leggs by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-835 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Story
Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
HI -I'M NOMI! I'm a 5-1/2-year-old beautiful and sweet Dutch Shepherd-Pit mix in need of a foster or forever home. My name means "beautiful" and "delightful" and it is so fitting, because I have a gorgeous brindle coat and a sweet face & personality. I was rescued from a Los Angeles-area shelter, and now have been waiting patiently for someone to notice me - for about two years! I am gentle with people, and am friendly with most dogs. I love to be with people and I love to shake a paw! I weigh 68 pounds. Can you foster or adopt me? I really want a home. I'm currently in California, but can be transported to Washington. Please email for an application.

Story
Animal Profile: Rico is a 6-year-old (DOB 10/1/2019), 80 lb neutered male German Shepherd with a very sad story looking for a brighter future. He seems older than his years, due to his history of neglect, but he is now safe in foster care and getting the TLC he will need to thrive. Rico has some chronic skin issues that are improving, but will need ongoing supportive care with quality food and supplements. He will also need a structured exercise regimen to promote muscle growth and weight loss. Rico is open to connection with a human -- you can see it in his eyes. He has no aggressive tendencies with humans or dogs but is just awkward with interaction. You can see he wants to do it! He is house trained (with regular access to potty breaks) and crate trained, and has quickly learned some basic obedience such as sit and heel in foster care. He does not have any reactivity on leash but does pull without a prong collar. He seems to have some prey drive for toys (which will be helpful for connection and his spirit!) and cars. We will test him with cats and share that info. More updates as we get to know him.  Animal History: Rico was purchased from Tannerhaus GSD, a "reputable breeder" (we DO NOT recommend) that advertises they take their dogs back, but when Rico's senior owner had to move to assisted living, the breeder did not uphold the contract. Rico's family discovered that Rico had not been let outside regularly in years, was forced to potty in the house, and did not have regular access to water; he was more of a well-fed houseplant with limited mental or physical stimulation, or even touch. His owner's family could not find placement for him and moved him to a kennel where he stayed for months and developed skin issues, including a systemic fungal infection. When they could no longer afford to kennel him, they reached out and we could not refuse to help him. Rico found emergency placement with The Good Dog Way in Bellingham (6/9/2025) and began his journey to recovery. He is now in foster care in Bothell and making great progress. He is available for adoption to the greater Seattle area, though we are continuing to work on his physical and mental condition. We will update his profile as he progresses.  Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $575 which includes his neuter, core vaccinations,  DPPV, Bordetella, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application  March 7, 2026, 12:47 pm

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌼🐾 Meet Daisy — Sunshine in Fur Form, Ready to Bloom in a Home 🐾🌼 Daisy is a 1-year-old, ~40-pound sweetheart who has spent her entire puppyhood waiting for something most dogs never have to wait for — a family to call her own. Born into an unwanted litter, Daisy and her siblings grew up without the comfort of couches, bedtime snuggles, or humans who made them feel chosen. But despite it all, Daisy’s heart stayed soft, hopeful, and full of love. Daisy is gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully friendly, with a playful side that comes out once she feels safe. She does great with other dogs and kids, and has a calm, loving presence that makes you want to sit down beside her and stay awhile. She’s the kind of dog who leans in close, quietly soaking up affection like she’s making up for lost time. Her mom is a heeler/border collie mix around 40 lbs, and dad? Well… dad was apparently a traveling salespup, charming his way through town and leaving us with a mystery — possibly shepherd, possibly heartthrob, definitely good looks. Whatever the mix, Daisy inherited the best parts: brains, athleticism, and a deep desire to be close to her people. Daisy would love an active but loving home — one that enjoys walks, playtime, and adventures, but also understands the magic of slowing down and just being together. She’s ready to learn, eager to please, and so excited to finally experience what it means to be part of a family. 🐕 Daisy’s Darling Details: ✅ 1 year old, ~40 lbs ✅ Sweet, gentle, and affectionate ✅ Great with dogs and kids ✅ Playful with a calm, loving heart ✅ Smart and ready to learn ✅ Has waited patiently for her chance at a home Daisy is ready to bloom into the best version of herself — all she needs is someone willing to give her the love she’s been missing. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and help Daisy finally plant her paws where she belongs: right in your heart and home. 🌼🐾

Available for our Foster/Foster-to-Adopt Program  Please apply or email toni@doggoneseattle.org for information on our foster to adopt program.  Animal Information: Cupid is an estimated 4 month old male and 42 pound German Shepherd/Malinois mix. Cupid is the Roman god of love. He was found as a stray with his mom and 9 siblings. He had been at the Devore animal shelter for 2 weeks and was on the euth listed due to space. Thanks to a Seattle area foster stepping up to take the family in, they were all saved. We will share more about Cupid, his mom and siblings as they settle in. Foster Profile: C upid is pure, gentle love wrapped in the sweetest package. Of all the God Litter puppies, he’s the calmest soul in the bunch; quietly observant, thoughtfully taking in the world around him before leaning in for affection. He has a soft, engaging presence that draws people right to him. His signature move? The tiniest little tongue “belp” that makes a regular appearance in photos, a small detail that somehow captures his whole tender personality. Cupid truly hasn’t met a stranger. He charmed everyone at our recent adoption event, happily soaking up attention and offering tail wags to new friends like he’d known them forever. We absolutely adore this soulful, social little dude.  Home with securely fenced yard and breed experience preferred. We will not be considering apartments for these puppies.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
