I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. Rescued from an overcrowded California shelter, Juno moved into foster care a couple months ago where he's been absolutely thriving! He loves playing with his canine foster sister and riding in the car with his head out the window. Juno settles quickly in a kennel and is actively working on his obedience skills, and is now fully house-trained. Juno is deeply devoted to his people and happiest by their side, whether on a hike, a walk, or a trip around town. He's smart, eager to please, and thrives with structure and routine. Because of his size, strength, and enthusiasm, Juno would do best in an adult-only home with a securely fenced yard. He enjoys other dogs with proper introductions, particularly larger female dogs, but could also be happy as an only dog. No cats, please. Juno is the kind of dog who gives his whole heart to you. She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. Meet Montana! Hi! My name is Montana, and I am approximately four years old and weigh 56 pounds. My people think I may be a Dutch Shepherd mix, but that’s just their best guess. I am a sweet, easygoing girl who is on the calmer side. I don’t require an excessive amount of exercise and would be perfectly happy taking a daily stroll and then settling in with you to watch some doggy flicks on the boob tube. That being said, if you’re looking for a dog to join you on longer walks and adventures, I’m up for that too! I’m pretty flexible as long as I get to be with my people. I am super sweet and warm up quickly to everyone I meet. I really haven’t met a stranger! I also get along well with other dogs and would happily share my forever home with a furry brother or sister. I have never been cat tested, though, so my people are going to say no furry felines for me. My life hasn’t always been easy. I came into rescue after having a litter of puppies while trying to survive life on the streets. Thankfully, someone stepped up and helped us. I did my job as a mama and kept my babies safe until we were rescued. Now that my puppies no longer need me, I think it’s finally my turn to have someone take care of me. I am house trained and crate trained, and I walk well on a leash. I’m also not one of those dogs who feels the need to bark at every little thing. Another fun fact about me: I love the water! Maybe there are some beach days, lake trips, or other water adventures in my future. I can already picture myself enjoying the sunshine and splashing around with my new family. At the end of the day, I’m simply looking for a family of my own. I’ve already spent plenty of time taking care of others. Now I’m ready for a soft bed, lots of love, some fun adventures, and people who will take care of me for a change. I am spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
