Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Juno! Juno is a 5-year-old, 60 lb Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. With his stunning brindle coat and soulful eyes, Juno may look a little intimidating at first glance ~ but he’s truly a sweet, loving, and loyal boy once you get to know him! Juno bonds deeply with his people and loves being out and about with his handler. He would make an excellent adventure companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. He’s affectionate, eager to be close to his person, and may even jump up for an enthusiastic “hug” when he’s excited to see you. Once Juno chooses his person, he’s all in. He’s a smart, eager-to-please dog who thrives with structure and consistency. Juno already knows sit, down, and his adorable “happy spin” at mealtime, and he would do great in a home that wants to continue working on training while providing both mental and physical outlets. Juno walks well on leash and enjoys getting out for walks and exploring. He would do best in a standalone home with a fully fenced yard (no apartments or condos) where he has space to decompress and move freely. When it comes to other dogs, Juno can do well with canine companions, especially with slow, thoughtful introductions. He has made dog friends and enjoys playing, particularly with larger female dogs, which tend to be his favorite match. He could also be happy as an only dog. An adult-only home or a home without young children (and no cats) is recommended, as Juno is strong, enthusiastic, and still working on some manners. Juno has so much love and loyalty to give ~ he’s just waiting for the right person or family to see what an incredible dog he truly is! Juno is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Leggs is a resilient 32 pound, 10 month old pup working hard to become part of the world around him. While he’s naturally timid because he was feral the first three months of his life, he’s been bravely approaching new challenges and turned into the most amazing dog at home. Leggs is very intelligent and sensitive. He’s a bit cuddler and loves wrapping himself up in a blanket and hunkering down with his soft toys. He’s fantastic on a leash and incredibly gentle with myself, my children, and other dogs (including my super senior). He is crate trained, goes to the door when he needs to go potty, leash trained, and doing well on basic obedience and threshold training. He’s done well on trips to the park, long-leash walking on nature trails, and trips to pet-friendly stores such as Petco. His perfect home would be one that understands his initial need to decompress. After that, you can expect the most loyal and intuitive companion. He is not a fan of cats so no kitties please. Leggs is being fostered in Texas but can be transported out of state. You can apply directly for Leggs by clicking the Apply for Adoption button on the linked page. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-835 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Story
Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

LASSIE: The Romantic HuntressLassie is a spicy mix, perfect for adventurous souls. She'll give you the eye and roll onto her back for cuddles one minute, and then unleash her daring side and strike fear into the hearts of unsuspecting stuffed animals the next. She's day and night, sweet and savory, a Jane Austen character and an Avenger all rolled into one. More evidence of Lassie’s charm, bravery, and dramatic double life can be found here: https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/lassie-2023076d/To call her a Swiss Army knife is an understatement. We don't understand why she's been on the program for so long, given her ability to charm you while simultaneously wiping out any rodent or cockroach infestation you might have in your home. Lassie is both friendly and fierce, loving and a hunter, yin and yang. The perfect balance.Just don't ask the stuffed animals for their opinion. This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

Story
Hello. My name is Bond, Chica Bond. When I saw my photos on the website, I decided to take charge of my description, because frankly, I have nothing to do with what they wrote there. I'm not a dog, I'm a secret agent. I don't understand why it doesn't say so anywhere.I'm going to protect you from everything, because I have the necessary intelligence, love, and energy, in large quantities. That includes: mice, lizards, cockroaches, tarantulas, and if necessary, any impertinent human out there. If a cat or a dog in the street were to attack you, I'd protect you too, because I don't really like them much, although I do love my canine colleagues at the secret agent academy. Confidential agent files, additional surveillance photos, and video evidence can be viewed here:https://hope4lapawz.org/wp1/chica-2022066dAmong my more specialized skills, I know how to open doors, in case you get stuck. I'm not asking for much in terms of salary: a few squeaky toys, a ball or two to chase now and then, and some chicken-foot treats would be fine. Will you hire me?This dog is currently in foster care in La Paz, Mexico, but will be transported upon adoption or foster placement. As a U.S. nonprofit, Hope 4 La Pawz, handles all logistics and provides full behavioral and medical info in advance.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to sweet Max. He is a ~8 year old, ~75lb German Shepherd who is looking for his forever family. Max is extremely sweet and loving with people. He has lived in a home before, knows basic obedience including shake, and is smart and eager to please! Although Max is older, he still has a good amount of energy and is strong on walks. He would love a family that will take him for adventures, walks, and enjoys playtime! After his activity, he loves to cuddle up and relax on a cozy bed. Max has done well with other dogs in our care, and would do fine with another dog companion in his forever home for as an only dog soaking up all the affection. Max is a sweet boy who deserves to be spending his older years in a loving home. Apply to foster or adopt him in our website! His adoption fee is $400.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Andi! Andi is a 5-month-old, 24 lb German Shepherd puppy who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This adorable young girl is smart, energetic, eager to learn, and ready to find a family committed to helping her grow into a well adjusted dog. Like any young shepherd, Andi is full of curiosity, enthusiasm, and potential. She is sweet, spunky, playful, and loves being involved in whatever is going on around her. She is already showing the intelligence and trainability that German Shepherds are known for and will thrive with adopters who are excited to continue her training and socialization. Andi is looking for an active, engaged home that understands the needs of working breeds and is prepared to provide the structure, guidance, and mental enrichment that a young shepherd requires. Continued training, positive socialization, and plenty of outlets for both her mind and body will be key to helping her become her very best self. She does great with other dogs and would love a canine companion in the home to play with and learn from. That said, she could also do very well as an only dog, provided her family remains committed to keeping her well-socialized and giving her plenty of opportunities to interact with other dogs. As a growing puppy, Andi is still learning everything about life and is looking for a family ready to embrace all the fun, training, adventures, and occasional chaos that come with raising a young dog. If you’re looking for a bright, athletic, affectionate companion and are ready to invest in a puppy with incredible potential, Andi might just be your perfect match! Andi is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! ❤️ Casey is a 1.5-2 year old, 65-70lb Malinois, who came to us as a stray from California. He is a happy, friendly, and active boy, and will make a great dog for the right home! Casey is your typical Malinois, and is an active boy who will need a home that will keep him exercised and mentally stimulated. He loves walks, playing and the outdoors. He would make a great adventure buddy! He is attentive to his handler, and a great learner. He also does well on car rides! Casey has been friendly with all people we have seen him with, and is social. We are still testing him with other dogs and he can do well around some, and reactive/overstimulated with others. This is not uncommon for working breeds in a kennel environment. He would thrive in a home that can work with him on continued training and socialization. He is not tested with kids or cats. His adoption fee is $500.
