Story
Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED This beautiful brindle boy hasn’t found his forever home yet! Juno is a ~4-5 year-old, 60lb Shepherd mix found as a stray in CA. Although his appearance is a mix of stunning with a hint of intimidating, Juno is a very sweet and loving boy! He loves to be out exploring with his person and would make an amazing adventure companion, especially for someone who enjoys the outdoors! He is very sweet with his handler and will sometimes jump up to give a hug out of excitement of just being with his person. He will be a very loyal dog to whoever adopts him, and is looking for a person to call his own! Juno will need an active family with a standalone home that has a yard for him to run and explore. He is incredibly smart and will thrive with adopters who will continue his training and provide him the physical and mental stimulation he requires. He is very smart however, and learns quickly! He already knows sit, down, and “happy spin” when being fed. Juno can be somewhat selective about other dogs and wouldn’t mind being the only dog. However, he could do well as an additional dog to a home with a proper introduction and proper boundaries set in the home. He walks incredibly well on leash, and would love to find his forever home soon that can appreciate how amazing he is! Juno is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and not tested with cats. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
HI -I'M NOMI! I'm a 5-year-old beautiful Dutch Shepherd-Pit mix in need of a foster or forever home. My name means "beautiful" and "delightful" and it is so fitting, because I have a gorgeous brindle coat and a sweet face. I was rescued from a California shelter, and now have been waiting patiently for someone to notice me! I am gentle with people, and am friendly with most dogs, though I can get jealous at times. I would probably thrive as an only dog where I could get all of the attention, or hang out with a submissive male. I weigh 68 pounds. I would love a new home! Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
Welcome Kai to CCPAL Rescue foster program. Kai is a very sweet pup. She weighs about 28 pounds and should stay medium sized. She is good on a leash, good with other dogs. She is mostly with her sister in her foster home. She uses a doggy door and is good on leash and in a car. She would be best with someone that is active and outdoorsy. She would be fine as an only dog or would be good with another dog. She will be a fun one to train. She has good eye contact and attention to who is speaking with her. She has one upright ear and one that is not. She is getting her vaccinations and will be spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. She would be a great family companion and could go with children. We like children to be 8 or older. Please be patient when you put in your application. Adoption fee for Kia is $400 and transport is $200. This is a very desirable breed mix. We are being very careful in vetting people and we are a small group of volunteers. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!!

Meet Leia: The Sweet and Spirited Shepherd Mix! Leia is a 1-year-old Shepherd mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality! At 59 pounds, this clever and goofy girl will keep you smiling with her quirky “woof woof” monologues and entertaining antics. While Leia loves to play, her true passion is cozy naps—and she’s ready to find a home that will shower her with love and let her thrive. Rescued at just 2 months old after being dumped in a dangerous Houston neighborhood, Leia and her sister were lucky to be taken in by kind-hearted people. She’s been thriving ever since, mastering tricks like house training, Sit, Shake, Leave it, and working hard on her “Stay.” Now, Leia is looking for her forever home! Leia is a playful and affectionate pup who loves wrestling with her sister, going on walks, and enjoying peanut butter popsicles. She’s also a bit of an opera singer, serenading you during mealtimes or when she’s in her crate and needs a potty break! While she can be a little shy in new situations (like at the vet), her determination shines through as she bravely faces the world, all for the chance to be with her people and her favorite toys. Leia is a true sweetheart who will fill your life with endless kisses and devotion. She’s ready to join a loving family that will embrace her gentle spirit and support her as she blossoms into the confident, courageous dog she’s meant to be. Leia is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and dewormed. She is currently being fostered in Texas but is available for adoption in the Pacific Northwest through transport. If you're ready to welcome Leia into your heart and home, apply today at www.doggedly.org/adoption-app!

Meet Luke: The Fun-Loving, Tail-Chasing Dynamo! Don’t let the name fool you—Luke is a sweet girl who will steal your heart with her endless energy and goofy antics! At 1 year old old and 60 lbs, Luke is a Shepherd mix with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. Whether she’s chasing her tail, practicing gymnastics, or hiding her toy in a secret spot (and forgetting about it), Luke will have you laughing all day long. Luke’s happy demeanor is matched by her eager-to-please attitude. She loves her walks, meeting new friends (both human and canine), and is always excited to make new connections—she knows no strangers! This brave little adventurer is as determined as she is sweet. Rescued at just 2 months old from a high-traffic neighborhood in Houston, she’s come a long way since then. She’s mastered commands like Sit, Shake, and Leave it, and is working hard on her “Stay” and house training. Luke even invented her own trick, “Give me ten!” where she gives you a double-high-five—talk about a show-off! Luke might just think she’s a cat! She loves sitting in boxes, perching on high places like picnic tables, and watching the world go by from your lap (if she fits!). Among her favorite things are bouncy toys, peanut butter popsicles, tummy rubs, running full speed, and splashing in the pool. She’s always the first to lead the charge into new adventures, and her zest for life is contagious. Luke is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and dewormed. Currently being fostered in Texas, she’s available for adoption in the Pacific Northwest through transport. If you’re ready for a best friend who will keep you laughing, exploring, and enjoying life to the fullest, apply to adopt Luke today at www.doggedly.org/adoption-app!

Story
Meet Skippy, aka Skippy-Doo! He's a 3-year-old, ~60-lb Shepsky mix with a heart full of love and energy. Skippy’s journey had a perfectly fairytale beginning -- he sneaked into his foster family’s yard to play with their resident dogs and was discovered the next morning. At the time, he was shy, having spent his life as a stray avoiding humans. But now, Skippy has blossomed into a happy and confident dog, excited to meet new people and enjoy life to the fullest. Skippy is incredibly dog-friendly, and he would thrive in a home with another energetic, playful dog. He’s a toy lover and has a habit of hoarding them, often stashing his toys in his bed and forgetting about them. He especially loves chasing footballs. He’s also learned several commands, including sit, stay, leave it, touch, and shake, and his playful, youthful energy makes him a great companion for active families or individuals who enjoy outdoor adventures. Skippy is a foster "office dog" at a local business, where he’s well-mannered and enjoys car rides, making him a great buddy to take along on outings. While Skippy is whip-smart and eager to please, he’s still learning and isn’t quite housetrained yet. However, with his quick learning abilities and eagerness to make his humans happy, he’ll do well with a bit of guidance and consistency in his training. Skippy does have some resource guarding tendencies, especially with toys or the backseat of a car, but he’s never shown aggression—just a polite warning bark when he feels the need to claim his space. Skippy is a healthy, fully-vetted dog who has been treated for heartworms, is on heartworm preventative, and is up-to-date on all vaccinations. He’s neutered and microchipped, ready for his forever family! If you're looking for a fun-loving, playful dog who will bring joy to your life, Skippy might just be the perfect companion. He’s ready to make new memories with you! If you're ready to welcome Skippy into your heart and home, apply today at www.doggedly.org/ado
