FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED This beautiful brindle boy hasn’t found his forever home yet! Juno is a ~4-5 year-old, 60lb Shepherd mix found as a stray in CA. Although his appearance is a mix of stunning with a hint of intimidating, Juno is a very sweet and loving boy! He loves to be out exploring with his person and would make an amazing adventure companion, especially for someone who enjoys the outdoors! He is very sweet with his handler and will sometimes jump up to give a hug out of excitement of just being with his person. He will be a very loyal dog to whoever adopts him, and is looking for a person to call his own! Juno will need an active family with a standalone home that has a yard for him to run and explore. He is incredibly smart and will thrive with adopters who will continue his training and provide him the physical and mental stimulation he requires. He is very smart however, and learns quickly! He already knows sit, down, and “happy spin” when being fed. Juno can be somewhat selective about other dogs and wouldn’t mind being the only dog. However, he could do well as an additional dog to a home with a proper introduction and proper boundaries set in the home. He walks incredibly well on leash, and would love to find his forever home soon that can appreciate how amazing he is! Juno is neutered, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and not tested with cats. His adoption fee is $400.

She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. We did a DNA test on Juniper and we were amazed to see that her mix is 45% German Shepherd, 42% American Staffordshire Terrier, 11% American Pit Bull Terrier and 2% Australian Cattle Dog. We would never have guessed that she had any Terrier in her - she is a gentle, sweet soul and has a coat more like a Labrador or short coated Golden Retriever. And while her 'greyhound' roots are not to be found, she is an adorable member of our GPI family and we can't wait to find this darling girl her forever home. Juniper has made great progress in addressing the reactivity issues and she is expected to continue to make great strides with consistent training. She takes the lead when playing with her siblings, exploring her environment and finding new toys to parade around the paddock. She is assertive and knows what she likes.
