Maisy is absolutely adorable! She loves treats and toys and wants to be your new best friend. She isn't always sure about new people and might bark at first, but if you give her a chance to get to know you she is a bouncy, playful girl with love to give! KNOWN WITH DOGS: Maisy engages in chase play and some wrestling with dogs that match her style but she can play too rough for some dogs and needs some guidance on when to take breaks. KNOWN WITH CATS: We do not currently know how they are with cats. If that is needed, let us know and we'll work on getting that information! KNOWN WITH KIDS: We are not sure how they do with kids. KNOWN COMMANDS: Maisy knows a lot of commands, we're still learning which ones she knows well. After a fun outing, I’m the perfect co-pilot who curls up and naps in the car. I’m a bit timid at first but eager to connect with my people. I’ve thrived in a home environment and have done well living with other dogs, though I do appreciate breaks from them sometimes. Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Chihuahua Mix Male (neutered) - Adult Looking for that smart, funny guy that can go anywhere and considers new adventures the very best thing in life?  Just pick up a leash and Ace starts dancing around ready to roll. And speaking of rolling, rolling around on the couch or in bed is probably his second most favorite thing to do.  So expect to share both with him and expect to laugh. Treats can also be used to persuade him in to learning cute tricks and are expected when he heads to his crate because that's what a good boy does. Want a dance partner, Ace is your guy. He can do the best little hind leg twirling. He also does love to give soft kisses and snuggles and his coat is so soft, who wouldn't want to snuggle with him. He also watches and is incredibly smart, he may think he is a bit human too.  Ace is a 2-3 years old chihuahua/spitz mix who is fully vetted. Crate trained but not his favorite thing and remember the treat. Potty trained, set ground rules about marking when he enters his new environment and he is smart so knows its not allowed. He has a voice and is not a barker but probably not the best for an apartment. Ace is good with canine family members (a little loud when he plays).  Cats are ok too.  **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org. Reddi Whip is a beautiful little girl looking for a forever home where she will get love and attention. She is great with house training  and making good progress --consistency is key. She came to us from a shelter in Mississippi. She is an active, friendly, playful pup. True to her breed, she enjoys chasing the birds at the feeder and will play with her foster pack of five.  A Chewing a bone will keep her occupied , as well as playing with “squeaky” toys.  Reddi sleeps in her crate through the night. She has  been fostered with cats and  has learned to co-exist.  She currently is living with other pups of all ages & sizes and loves them all . She is a true snuggle bug and a sweet heart .
