Story
Sweet Pea is about 8 months old and is a very sweet little girl looking for her forever home. The couple that brought her in said they found her by the hotel where they were staying. She was so very sweet they didn't want anything to happen to her, so they turned her in. She loves her little bed. She is better with older kids rather than smaller ones. She has been fully vetted and is up to date on all shots, spayed and microchipped. She is all set to go home to her new family. If you are interested in adopting Sweet Pea, please click on the big black button that says, "Ask about me" and we will send you an application. This dog is being fostered in TN but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Say Hi to the happiest and most easily adaptable pup! Beat of My Heart is a jolly and curious puppy who loves to play and to be cuddled (and for some reason, he loves watching tv with you!). He is super treat-motivated, so he learns really quickly -- he already knows how to sit, go to his crate, go to his bed and has made great progress in potty training too. Before getting his food, he knows to sit down and when it's time for bed, all you need to do is open his crate and he goes right into it and sleeps (make sure to add a few teething toys in there just in case he gets bored when he wakes up before you do! He has been socialized around other dogs that we meet during our walks and he is aware of strangers, although he sometimes randomly barks at people walking by us. He also walks extremely well on the leash, which makes him a perfect companion if you also enjoy walks!  Adoption Day: September 19th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–10:30 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Some pups may stick around until 11:00 AM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun! ##2813516##

Story
ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Meet Tammy, the Farm's resident low rider! Don’t let that fool you though – Tammy makes up for her small size with a big personality. Around the Farm, she’s well-known for her unique appearance and goofball antics. Since having her dental she is often found sticking out her tongue at staff members – even while she sleeps! When she’s not being a bit silly, Tammy is such a sweetheart. Curious and smart, she loves cuddling and giving kisses, but also exploring and running around, especially if it means she gets to chase off squirrels (aka Tammy’s nemeses). Tammy also loves going on walks but wants to be very clear that she’s the one walking you, and she will judge you if you try to interrupt her sniffing. In a home, Tammy thinks she rules the roost (which, of course, she does) and will call dibs on any comfy piece of furniture. She’s done well with kids as young as 9, but would do best in a home with no other pets. Tammy would probably be happiest in a home where she’s the only pet, and can be treated like the princess she is! If you’re looking for a sweet girl whose size-to-sass ratio is a little off, make sure to check out Tammy and add a little spice to your life! -ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 30lbs -ESTIMATED AGE: 2 years -KNOWN WITH DOGS: Tammy would do best as the only pet -KNOWN WITH CATS: Tammy would do best with no cats in the home. -KNOWN WITH KIDS: She has done well with kids she has met. -KNOWN CUES: Unknown -KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Tammy is crate trained and house broken. -KNOWN LIKES: Love, treats, swimming, walks, cuddles -KNOWN DISLIKES: None If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our dog adoption questionnaire and e-mail any questions to: trailshomefarm@homewardtrails.org PLEASE VISIT THIS WEBSITE TO FIND THE ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE: http://www.homewardtrails.org/adopt-a-pet/adoption-forms/ HOW TO MEET THIS ANIMAL: Fill out the application and we will follow up with you! Story
https://foha.org/pet/milo2024/ ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Hi, I’m Milo (pronounced MEE-LO)—a small dog with a big heart! I’m a sweet, speedy little guy who loves both playful adventures and peaceful moments. I have a cute routine of carrying a chew toy in my mouth when I’m getting ready for walks. I enjoy spending time outside soaking up the sun and doing my lightning-fast zoomies. After a fun outing, I’m the perfect co-pilot who curls up and naps in the car. I’m a bit timid at first but eager to connect with my people. I’ve thrived in a home environment and have done well living with other dogs, though I do appreciate breaks from them sometimes. I’m loyal, intelligent, and affectionate—just the right companion for active yet cozy days. And make sure to scroll down past my bio to see all the AMAZING videos my foster mom has posted! You can really see how much I thrive in a home, and maybe it’ll help you see how I could be in your home and heart! HOW AM I WITH DOGS: Good with dogs with proper introductions. I’ve lived with multiple dogs and did great, but I may need patience and breaks from them occasionally. HOW AM I WITH CATS: I am a bit too interested in cats and would do best in a home without feline friends. HOW AM I WITH KIDS: Unknown. I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: Sit, stay, come. MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: I have good house manners! THINGS I LIKE: Chew toys, sunny yard time, car rides, cuddling, zoomies. THINGS I DISLIKE: Storms, sudden dog encounters in public places. FOHA ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCESS – https://foha.org/pet-adoption/adoption-policies/ ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet. My adoption fee has been covered by a generous donor!!

Story
To learn more about Ozzie, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org. Meet Ozzie, a spunky Feist mix with a shiny black coat, a playful spirit, and enough enthusiasm to turn every day into an adventure! This handsome youngster is always ready for fun, whether he's zooming around the yard, chasing his dog buddies, or engaging in a friendly wrestling match. If you've been looking for a dog who can keep up with an active lifestyle, Ozzie may be your perfect match. Ozzie is more than just a bundle of energy—he's also a smart boy with great house manners. He appears to be both house-trained and crate-trained (though we can’t guarantee it), rides quietly in a crate during car trips, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He even shares space peacefully with cats, preferring to mind his own business rather than stir up trouble. Ozzie can be a little cautious when meeting new people and may announce their arrival with a bark, but once he realizes there's nothing to worry about, he's quick to settle down. Because he's still a young dog with plenty of puppy energy, Ozzie would thrive in a home that can give him lots of opportunities to play, exercise, and explore. An energetic canine companion would be a huge bonus—he absolutely loves having a four-legged friend to romp around with. If you're looking for a cheerful sidekick who will keep you smiling and make every day a little more exciting, Ozzie is ready to meet you!

Story
Meet Annie! Say hello to Annie, a absolutely adorable and spirited Chihuahua who is a whirlwind of personality, charm and sweetness all wrapped up in one perfectly tiny and completely irresistible little package! This sweet girl is looking for a loving home with a good routine where she can feel completely safe and be the very best friend you have ever had! A Little About Annie: Do not let her small size fool you for even one second — Annie brings BIG energy, BIG personality and an even BIGGER heart to everything she does! She is sweet, sassy, smart and absolutely full of life in the most wonderful and entertaining way possible. Annie's Highlights: Good with Small Dogs & Cats — Annie does well with other small dogs and cats making her a great fit for a multi pet household. She does get a little nervous around large dogs so a home without big canine companions would suit her best ️ Champion Lap Dog — When Annie is done conquering the world she will climb right into your lap, curl up and fall into the most peaceful and gloriously snory sleep you have ever witnessed. Yes she snores. Yes it is the cutest thing you have ever heard in your life Crate & House Trained — Annie is fully crate trained and house trained and actually sleeps in her kennel at night like the perfectly routine oriented girl she is Certified Foodie — Annie is a treat lover of the highest order and will do just about anything for a good snack. Food motivated? Absolutely and completely Knows Her Commands — This smart little cookie knows her basic commands including sit and stay proving that great things absolutely do come in small packages Fair Warning About the Wardrobe — Annie's daily vigorous energy means that all clothes, shoes and accessories need to be picked up and put away. If you leave them out Annie will absolutely find them, drag them around and then look you dead in the eyes while daring you to try and get them back. Consider yourself lovingly warned! Annie's Leash Journey — A Success Story! Annie loves her walks so much that she used to overplay and overexert herself, sometimes getting the wind knocked right out of her when she hit the end of the retractable leash at full speed. But here is where Annie's story gets really amazing — Her incredibly dedicated foster mom taught Annie to come when she calls her name and this one brilliant trick has changed absolutely everything! Instead of racing to the end of the leash Annie now turns it into a fun and interactive game — responding with 100% perfection every single time. This is a newer trick but Annie has completely and totally mastered it and it has made a world of difference in her quality of play and her overall happiness and wellbeing. Annie's Golden Hour: Here is a little insider tip for getting the very best of Annie — After her post lunch nap is when this girl is absolutely and completely at her finest! This is when Annie: Distributes an abundance of kisses freely and generously Receives quality scratches with pure and total bliss ✨ Is the sweetest and most loving version of herself A little note about the scratches — Annie does have a limit on how many she will accept before she politely but firmly reminds you that you have exceeded your quota. But the good news is you can absolutely get MANY wonderful scratches in before that moment arrives so scratch away! What Annie Needs: A Safe & Loving Home — Annie thrives when she feels secure and protected A Good Routine — This girl does her absolute best when her days have structure and predictability Small Dog or Cat Friendly Home — No large dogs please! A Best Friend — Because that is exactly and completely what Annie will be to the right person Annie is a sweet, smart, sassy and completely loveable little girl who has so much to offer the right home. She will make you laugh every single day, keep you on your toes, snore peacefully in your lap and love you with her whole tiny and enormous heart. She is not just looking for a home. She is looking for her person — someone who will give her the routine, the safety and the love she deserves so she can be exactly what she was always meant to be.
