Story

Tiffany was stranded and abandoned in a garbage bag. After being discovered she went to the Emergency hospital in Jan 2023 with a rectal prolapse. Due to the severity of the prolapse Tiffany had to have a portion of her colon removed. She has healed from her surgeries (1/10/23: rectal resection and anastomosis; 1/11/23: colopexy and spay). Since Tiffany had a portion of her colon removed she does defecate frequently, this may improve with time or it may not. Tiffany has skin allergies as she has some areas on her back and sides of less hair growth, she is currently on a limited ingredient diet and medicated baths. Upon adoption her need to go outside did not improve so at night and when I’m not home she has to wear diapers. My life was thrown a curveball and I am not home like I was in the past. She needs someone who has the time to spend with her. She is very loyal and will follow you around the house everywhere when she’s not napping. She has a fear of garbage bags.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Online Adoption Application Cannoli is about 6 years old . She is a very good dog that we can manage wonderfully. She eats separately in a crate because she gets crazy with her food. But she can eat with other dogs we just have many in foster so it’s easiest to let her eat in a crate. She is very into toys and it’s hard to get one out of her mouth . Adults can do it no problem but I wouldn’t recommend kids in the home cause when she is trying to get it back she may get your hand instead of the toy back . She is great with other dogs and runs around with them but mostly toy obsessed. A ball she will play with outside all day, you gotta get her in or she could over heat cause she won’t stop unless you make her . She runs stiffly with her back legs . The shelter did some vetting said if could be a disc. it doesn’t affect her in any way but like most Frenchie almost always have some medical so not sure If that would be something down the road . If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Frankie is my 4-year-old French Bulldog that I got from a breeder as a puppy. He’s very loving, a little goofy, and loves being around people. He also understands basic commands. He’s a high-energy dog who needs a lot of attention and loves going outside. We’re currently not able to give him the time and activity he needs, so we’re looking for a home that can match his energy and give him more attention. Frankie is extremely friendly with people, dogs, and cats, but can get overly excited. He would do best with someone experienced who can help manage his energy. He doesn’t like his legs being touched and is scared of hair dryer sounds, so he’ll need a patient owner. This isn’t an easy decision, but we want to find him the right home where he’ll be happy and well cared for.

Benoit (born: 12/12/2022), weighs 24 pounds and is a young French Bulldog who knows how to sit, loves to run and play, has fun with his toys and enjoys having a treat. Born with a congenital eye issue, Benoit had to have surgery to remove his right eye when he was just 10 weeks old and he continues to have follow-ups with an ophthalmologist for his left eye, which has limited vision, for life. Benoit also developed a head tilt and the neurologist has diagnosed him with Hydrocephalus and the doctor prescribed Omeprazole – which is a medication he will have to take for life. After many visits to the neurologist, we have learned that Benoit will have to be on steroids and pulse antibiotics for life. Benoit is a complicated medical case and he will need to see a neurologist and an ophthalmologist for the rest of his life. We really appreciate that you want to give a shelter animal a home.
