Story
Looking for a cheerful and family-friendly friend? Meet Gracie! This lovely dog walks nicely on a leash, and with continued gentle guidance, will become a pro. Gracie is reliably crate-trained and has been doing wonderfully with her house training, although patience and consistency will be key as she adjusts to a new environment. We've seen Gracie interact beautifully with other dogs and she adores children! When it comes to cats, we're unsure of her history, so a home without cats or a very slow and supervised introduction would be the most responsible approach. Gracie joined us as a breeder surrender and has received excellent veterinary care, including recent blood work and a dental cleaning where all her pearly whites were preserved! We think this fun-loving and playful girl will bring lots of smiles to a home with dogs and kids. Interested in becoming a forever home for Gracie Tricket? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting Gracie Tricket. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Gracie Tricket the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fee is $850. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

Story
Phoebe is a 2-year-old, 24 lb French Bulldog. She is spayed, current on vaccines and heartworm prevention, house broken and crate trained. She is an active girl! Loves toys. Loves to chew! Needs supervision because she will chew up anything she can reach if not being watched. She can jump a baby gate or out of a 3-foot puppy pen. She loves her people! Loves laying on the couch to watch tv or laying on the bed if allowed. Very food motivated. Loves to play in water in a kiddie pool. Loves to play fetch. Rides great in the car! Loves going to Starbucks for pup cups and to get ice cream. She’s a GREAT dog. She’s just a lot of dog. She will jump up on people when excited and mouth at your hands (gently). Phoebe is good with other dogs 99% of the time but, she can be a resource guarder with other dogs (never people) over food, her crate and sometimes people. She’s never overly aggressive. It’s just a quick lashing out which she stops immediately when told to. She will do best in an experienced home preferably one with French Bulldog experience. She should only be considered for home with older children. Phoebe’s adoption donation is $1,000 and the transport fee is $165. Phobe is being fostered in Arkansas. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Phil is looking for a very special understanding home! This 9 month old Frenchie was surrendered to a local shelter when his owners couldn't meet his needs. We have had extensive diagnostics done to get to the bottom of his chronic diarrhea issues and he does have fairly severe IBD which will require lifelong care to manage- medications and a strict prescription diet. He's improved but it's going to be a trial and error process under the care of vets because of the severity of is issue. We are waiting on a recheck and further results but he is suspected to have some chronic irritable bowel type issues, and already improved greatly on a special prescription diet and medications. We are hoping to find little Phil a local home where he can be monitored and follow up with our vet. Phil can be a little standoffish at first and undersocialized but a fun playful puppy once he bonds. He's at that adolescent stage where he can be a bit of a brat testing boundaries at times and needs some training and an adult household to continue to work with him. No kitties for him, and he can be choosy about his dog friends at times. Please submit an application to meet him Primary Color: Tan Age: 0yrs 10mths 3wks

Story
Meet Klein💚 Klein was rescued from a slaughterhouse in Jeongeup as a young puppy, along with her four siblings. The group was placed in Jeongeup Shelter, where they lived for about a year before being put on the euthanasia list. Fortunately, ADogs stepped in and rescued Klein and her siblings just in time. • With People: Klein is a gentle and sweet-natured dog, but she is a bit shy around new people. She doesn’t immediately approach strangers but wears an adorable smile and warms up over time. If you offer her a treat, she will quickly gain confidence and even show her affectionate side! • With Dogs: She gets along well with other dogs and had a great relationship with her siblings. At the shelter, she socializes easily and does well in group settings. • With Cats: She has never been introduced to cats, so her reaction is unknown. • Separation Anxiety: Since she currently lives in a shelter, it’s unclear if she experiences separation anxiety. She may need some training and adjustment when transitioning to a home. • Potty Training: She is used to outdoor potty training at the shelter and may need guidance when transitioning to an indoor environment. • Grooming & Handling: Klein is very easygoing and allows bathing, drying, and nail trimming without fuss! • Walking & Socialization: She loves going on walks and has been trained well at school, so she doesn’t pull on the leash. She enjoys exploring and is a polite walking companion. • Car Rides: She does not experience motion sickness and rests calmly in the car during travel.

Story
Meet Brown🧡 Brown was rescued from a dog meat farm in Jeongeup along with his four littermates when he was just a puppy. After spending a year at the Jeongeup Shelter, he was put on the euthanasia list, but ADogs intervened just in time and rescued the siblings. Brown now lives peacefully with his rescued friends. • With People: Brown has a gentle and cautious personality. He may be a bit shy at first, but he’s also curious—he’ll approach new visitors slowly, especially if they have treats. With shelter staff and familiar people, he shows sweet affection, even offering kisses. • With Dogs: He prefers to keep to himself and doesn’t actively seek out other dogs, but he coexists peacefully with them. He’s an independent spirit who enjoys his alone time. • With Cats: He gets very excited when he sees cats, so it’s best to avoid interactions or walks near cats. • Separation Anxiety: Unknown due to group living at the shelter. • Potty Training: He currently goes only outdoors for potty. • Grooming & Handling: He tolerates baths calmly and accepts drying, though he freezes up a little from fear. He doesn’t enjoy nail clipping or brushing, but he’s very non-aggressive and cooperative with short sessions. • Walking & Leash Training: A perfect walker! He walks in sync without pulling and seems to truly enjoy his walks. • Car Rides: He rides comfortably in the car and shows no signs of motion sickness. 💌Special Notes💌 • Brown seems more comfortable wearing a collar than a harness. • He has coprophagia (stool eating), so it’s important to clean up right after potty. This behavior often improves with training in a home environment.

Susie – Your shadowQuote from foster family: Susie is the most lovable little dog. Receiving belly rubs and giving kisses are some of her specialties! Whether she’s cuddling with you on the couch or in the bed, following you around the house, going on walks or playing in the yard, she feels best when being by the side of her human.Woof-Facts Name: Susie Breed: Boston Terrier Beagle mix Weight: 25 lbs. Age: 2 years Gender: Female Health: Spayed and up to date on vaccinationsMore InfoForever home recommendations: Susie’s is looking for a home with a patient, caring and loving forever person(s) who is home often. One ideal situation is for her to be with someone who works from home, as Susie would be an excellent coworker, and would sleep nicely in her bed while her human is working close by. She is also OK being home on her own and/or with a canine companion.Susie can be a bit nervous at times, yet this has gotten much better as the days progress since she’s been in her foster home. Therefore, her forever human will need to be patient and help guide Susie along the way as she continues to acclimate to her newly rescued life and into her forever home.Susie previously lived in an apartment with multiple other dogs. The dogs were cared for by their humans, however, they never experienced the outside world. RHF rescued 5 of the dogs, and they are all in separate foster homes learning how to live their best life. We’re looking for a forever home who will give Susie her very best forever life. Kids: Home with older kids since a bit timid and fearfulDogs: Got along fine with the multiple dogs while living in her former home. Gets along with the other dog in her current foster home–they’re able to sleep together, walk together, and play in the yard together with no issues. Cats: Unknown?Crate trained: Doesn’t love the crate but does OK for short stays. Prefers to sleep either on the couch or in the bedHouse trained: Working on house training, making good progressLeash manners: Currently leash training and doing greatPersonality: Susie is such a sweetie pie, and a dog who truly loves human companionship. Sometimes she’ll follow the other dog around the house and mimic what he’s doing, but most often, she likes to shadow her human. She’s a great listener and attentively responds to the commands that’s she’s already learned. She enjoys various sorts of playtime—whether it’s catch, playing with toys with her human or canine companion, running in the yard or walking in the park.  How did Susie find herself at Rescue Haven Foundation: RHF rescued Susia through a collaboration with a NYC shelter and a family-in-need. Interested in Susie?
