Story
Meet June Bug, an adorable, fawn-colored, 2-year old, 22-pound French Bulldog, who comes equipped with a very unique feature: a really cool set of wheels to help her walk. June Bug doesn’t need much to steal your heart - - she just gazes at you with those soft, loving eyes, and suddenly you’re done for. An absolute doll, June Bug is still a tad shy and prefers to hang out in her comfort zone…which is currently in the kitchen where her bed and food bowl live…but she’s slowly venturing out more and more. New spaces just take a minute…and a few treats don’t hurt either. And this ‘lil munchkin will do ANYTHING for a treat! Now…about June Bug’s wheels. Yes, she has them, and yes, they’re amazing. She’s paralyzed in her hind legs, but don’t picture a fragile or complicated pup. Around the house, June Bug is more of a relaxed observer than a zoomer anyway. She sometimes needs a little encouragement to get rolling inside, but the second she sees another dog heading out the door, she gets excited too - - sliding her way over - - as if to say, hey, don’t forget about me! Whether it’s being carried around or cruising in her wheels, June Bug is always thrilled to be included. June Bug greets visitors politely, and she gladly lets anyone pet her. Pick her up, hug her, or kiss her, and she responds with these happy sounds that will 100% warm your soul. She’s calm, gentle, and completely unfazed by other dogs or cats. At bedtime, she sleeps through the night without making a peep. Incredibly tolerant and trusting, June Bug allows all manner of handling, including being expressed and wearing a diaper when needed. Yep, she’s THAT easy! Aside from her rear legs not working, June Bug is honestly a very normal little dog - - and does not see herself as different or disabled. If you’re looking for a cute, devoted, furry companion - - and a reminder that perfection comes in many forms - - June Bug might just be your girl. Story
Benoit (born: 12/12/2022), weighs 24 pounds and is a young French Bulldog who knows how to sit, loves to run and play, has fun with his toys and enjoys having a treat. Born with a congenital eye issue, Benoit had to have surgery to remove his right eye when he was just 10 weeks old and he continues to have follow-ups with an ophthalmologist for his left eye, which has limited vision, for life. Benoit also developed a head tilt and the neurologist has diagnosed him with Hydrocephalus and the doctor prescribed Omeprazole – which is a medication he will have to take for life. After many visits to the neurologist, we have learned that Benoit will have to be on steroids and pulse antibiotics for life. Benoit is a complicated medical case and he will need to see a neurologist and an ophthalmologist for the rest of his life. We really appreciate that you want to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We also have a great adoption matchmaking team who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. We start the process once you have submitted an application to us. FOR AN APPLICATION, please visit http://humanesocietyny.org/adoptions/ and download then email your application to hsny.adopt@gmail.com. Our one and only location is: 306 East 59th Street (between 1st & 2nd Avenue) in Manhattan. If you'd like to sponsor Benoit, please email amk.hsny@verizon.net. You can give as much or as little as you like. Your donation is tax deductible. Thank you! For additional information on the Humane Society of New York, please visit: humanesocietyny.org. Thank you!

Story
Nova is a 35lb adult (5yr-ish) French bulldog mix. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate and would love to find a forever home. She is still working on her housetraining (great with #1, still working on #2). She walks perfectly on a leash and adores snuggles and couch naps. She loves to show her excitement by wagging her whole body! She came into the rescue with a number of health issues - like most Frenchies - and needs an adopter who understands the financial committments of owning this wonderful, but expensive breed. She had a corneal ulcer (being treated with eye medication), a UTI (treated), unaltered (we fixed her), and with heartworms (she's on the slow kill treatment). Despite all of that, her spirit is amazing - full of love and happiness!! Nova is located in Houston TX and will only be transported upon completed adoption. Her adoption fee is $400 + transport. Inquiries will not be responded to unless a completed application has been sent. You can fill out an application at www.recycleddogsrescue.org.

Story
**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to NJ for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Meet Fishy Longbottom! Introducing Fishy Longbottom, a charming French Bulldog who’s as sweet and snuggly as his name is unique! This 2–3-year-old, 20-pound bundle of joy has a heart full of love and a playful spirit that’s impossible to resist. Fishy is a cuddle champion — his favorite place is right by your side (or in your lap if you’ll let him!). When he’s not soaking up attention, he loves playing with toys and rolling around happily in his dog bed. He loves car rides, too! He’s great with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him a perfect fit for just about any household. Fishy walks nicely on a leash and is both house and crate trained, so he’s ready to fit right into your routine. Fishy is also a special needs pup. His vet suspects he may have a form of megaesophagus, though it hasn’t been officially confirmed. The good news? He’s doing wonderfully on his current medications and is living his best, happy life! He came to us as an owner surrender due to his owners not being able to handle his condition. If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate, and resilient little dog who will fill your home with joy (and cuddles), Fishy Longbottom is your guy! Interested in becoming a forever home for Fishy? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and appreciate you working with us.For immediate consideration, please attach your application to the initial inquiry to help us expedite the process. Our adoption fee is $850. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public in Oklahoma. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

**Please note this is pet is currently out of town pet but we will transport this pet to NJ for you when adopted. All fees listed include transport fees.** Calling all singles - ready to mingle! I'm Major Payne, a good boy who is looking for love - and I mean from you, my one and only. Sure, I can be a bit of a player, but I promise I'm worth it. You see, I'm not really a fan of other pups - I'm a jealous guy and like to have all your attention to myself. I'd much rather be the star of your show than share the spotlight with another four-legged friend. But, if you're looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin, I'm your guy. I'm house-trained and have learned all the basic commands, so I'm basically an ideal roommate. So, if you're looking for a furry friend who is going to be your ride-or-die, I'm Major Payne, and I'm ready to take you out for the best walk of your life! Major Payne is about 20 pounds and we think he is around 4 years old. He came to us as an finder surrender after 30 days of not being able to find his owner. I don't mind walking past other dogs, but don't let me stop to chit chat. Interested in becoming a forever home for Major Payne? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Arabella — the little dog with the BIGGEST heartArabella is a 3yearold spayed female French Bulldog mix who has already been through more than most pups her age. Recently rescued from a shelter, she’s now safe, loved, and ready for the one thing she’s been waiting for: a forever family of her very own. This girl is pure sunshine. Happy, playful, and endlessly sweet, Arabella adores people and gets along beautifully with other dogs. Her signature move is the fullbody hug — she’ll wrap herself into you like she’s known you forever. If you’re looking for a dog who gives love freely and joyfully, she’s your girl. Arabella does have a cute little head tilt and dry eye, but neither slows her down or dims her spirit. If anything, they make her even more endearing. She’s the kind of dog who reminds you every day how resilient and loving animals can be. If you’re ready to open your home to a truly special pup, Arabella is waiting. Apply to adopt at: www.rescuedogsrocknyc.orgPlease be sure to reference this pet's name as Arabella (GA) in case of duplicate names within the rescue.
