Story
Two-year-old Hotrod is an active, lighthearted and happy boy who loves spending time with his pack, playing chase, going for walks, chewing on toys, taking car rides, and cuddling up by to his people. Hotrod’s favorite hobbies include chowing down at mealtime from his slow feeder bowl and chewing on bones and bully sticks. According to his foster mom, Hotrod is a champion high jumper, even able to jump over baby gates! Hotrod is house-trained, great with dogs and cats, and walks well on a leash. He is crate-trained and will sleep in a crate; however, he prefers to be near his people or with the other pugs in his foster home. At night, he goes to bed with his foster pug siblings, sleeping soundly from 10pm to 7am. Hotrod has medication for back pain; although his foster mom hasn’t seen his back bother him, a scan at the veterinary clinic revealed he may have back pain. Due to his jumping abilities, Hotrod’s ideal home will have a tall, fenced yard with at least one other friendly, canine playmate, or if he will be solo, have at least one person home most of the time to play and help him get plenty of exercise. If you are looking for a happy-go-lucky, social butterfly, Hotrod might be for you! Apply at dfwpugs.com. * All of our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. We adopt to all lower 48 states, but adopters must travel to Texas for pickup. Visit our website to learn more or apply: www.dfwpugs.com.

Story
fter spending most of her life outside in Mexico and having her medical needs neglected, five-year-old Harper is now showing her cuddly, affectionate, and silly side! Her former medical issues, including pelvic fractures and a hernia, have now healed and she is enjoying a more active lifestyle. Harper’s favorite activities include playing with her blankets and bedding, snuggling with her stuffed elephant, following her foster mom and foster pug siblings around the house, running and jumping, chasing small wildlife in the yard, going for walks, and sleeping in bed with her foster mom at night. She is making great progress with her housetraining and crate training. With her challenging former life in mind, Harper’s forever family will provide her with love, care, and reassurance, help her build her confidence, and understand that she gets skittish around loud noises. Having another friendly and confident dog in the home may help her to come out of her shell and adapt to her new life. Story
7-year-old Pokey is a tenderhearted, snuggly, and adorably expressive little pug who just wants to be wherever YOU are, and yes, that means following you into the bathroom. He loves lounging in a cozy dog bed with his favorite toy (which he adorably sucks on like a pacifier), curling up on the couch next to his people, or showing off his playful side with short bursts of zoomies. He may be 7, but Pokey's got plenty of pep in his step! Pokey is house-trained, but occasional oopsies happen, crate-trained, and eats politely with his foster siblings. He does great at sharing his toys, even his favorite ones! He’s also great with other dogs, but more than anything, he just wants your love and attention, so someone home most of the day would be his dream home. He would do well in a home with or without other dogs, and while he hasn’t been around kids regularly, he’s proven to be a sweetheart with all visitors. A fenced yard would be ideal so he can safely explore while he continues building his leash confidence. Pokey takes daily eye drops like a champ, and is so smart and learns routines quickly. Ready to bring home the ultimate lap pug? Head over to dfwpugs.com to apply for Pokey! * All of our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Story
Seven-year-old Peggy is outgoing, energetic, confident, and a total boss babe. Despite being blind, she has no problem with taking charge and making her opinions known! Peggy navigates her foster home with ease and enjoys spending time with people, other dogs, and cats. Her favorite activities include following her people around the house, playing and cuddling with other dogs, chasing balls, chewing on toys, and going for walks. When it’s time to recharge, she snoozes soundly in her crate and snores loudly. She is housetrained, can use a doggie door, and eats her meals politely. Peggy requires daily eye drops to keep her peepers feeling fresh. Her ideal forever family will provide her with plenty of companionship from people and other dogs, and create a safe environment with her visual impairment in mind. If you’re inspired by bold, fearless, loving, and loyal ladies, Peggy might be your perfect match! Story
Seven-year-old Burton is a social and affectionate boy who loves meeting new people and dogs! A go-with-the-flow kind of guy, Burton has a happy disposition and enjoys simple pleasures including chewing on toys and bones, going for walks, and showing off his cuddling skills. He is a fast learner and is mastering new commands and skills in his foster home. Burton is making good progress with his house training and hasn’t had any accidents since his first day in foster care. His foster believes his success is thanks to being on a consistent schedule. He is crate trained and snoozes soundly in his crate through the night. Burton’s ideal forever family will provide him with plenty of snuggles and opportunities to socialize. In return, they’ll enjoy the company of “the sweetest, goofiest boy looking for love,” according to his foster mom. Story
Five-month-old Benito is a playful, curious, and cuddly fawn Velcro-pug who loves nothing more than curling up with you while you work. He’s full of puppy energy, always ready to bounce into a game, join a pug pile, or sneak off with a toy, or even a shoe if you aren’t watching! Benito is still perfecting his house training and leash skills, but he’s crate-trained for naps and nighttime. He LOVES food (typical pug) and may guard his bowl a little, so mealtimes are best with supervision. This little guy adores other dogs, is curious about cats, and would do great with older kids who don’t mind a little puppy teething. Benito needs a home where someone has time to play with him and help guide him through his puppy stage, bonus points if there’s another friendly canine playmate in the house! Fun, cuddly, and full of personality, Benito is ready to wiggle his way into your heart! Apply at dfwpugs.com. * All of our pugs are fostered throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. Story
Four-year-old Billie is a gentle, affectionate and laid-back fawn, female pug who lives for snuggle time with her humans. A true Velcro-pug, she is happiest when right by your side, whether curled up for a nap or keeping your company around the house. She can be a little shy at first, but quickly warms up and shows her sweet, confident side. Billie enjoys chewing on soft stuffed toys, is house-trained, crate-trained, and a polite eater but sometime curious about other dogs’ bowls. She gets along well with other dogs, preferring to snuggle with them over play, and walks great on a leash. She sleeps soundly in either a crate or her human’s bed. She would thrive in a loving home with adults or children, and she’d be just as happy as an only dog or with a friendly canine companion. If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly companion who wants nothing more than to please her people, Billie might be your perfect match.
