I got Hugo during the pandemic from longtime family friends, and he has been a wonderful companion. He’s a sweet, energetic dog who loves people more than visiting the dog park. Hugo has spent his life in an apartment with occasional trips to our family farm in West Texas, where he enjoys running freely and playing with other dogs. He’s great with kids who can match his active lifestyle and keep him entertained. I’m looking for someone who has more time to dedicate to him than I currently do. I’m moving to Washington, D.C., for a new job that requires frequent travel, and I don’t want Hugo to spend long hours at daycare or alone at home. While he doesn’t typically sleep in a crate, he’s fine being in one sure as long car rides. Hugo deserves a home where he can get plenty of attention, exercise, and love. Introducing Tigger…..That’s me I am a wonderfully funny boy who is searching for my forever home. I am good with other Dogs and Cats. I walk well on a leash and enjoy my evening walks when it is cooler outside during the hot summer temperatures. I am what they call a water baby and I enjoy the pool in my foster home, BUT I am not a good swimmer so I must wear a Life Jacket otherwise I will sink to the bottom. Even with a Life Jacket I require “hands on” assistance as I paddle around. My life prior to coming into rescue was not the best as I was used as a breeding machine only, neglected of medical care and love. I will need a home that can help continue my potty training as I currently wear a belly band which prevents me from having accidents in the home. I am crate trained and I do fine while left alone when you are away. I am cuddly as any Tigger should be and I have found the joy of Toys, but I do not like to share my toys at all. If you have children I will need a home with High school aged children as I am more comfortable with slow movements as I just can’t trust the small children that run, jump and make loud noises. I am not a fan of going to see the Vet….my foster Mom is a Veterinarian, Yes you heard me right….. so this was quite a stretch for me….I have learned to love her, but I still am unsure when I see her as a patient. Howdy people! My name is Bennie and I am a 7 year, 31 pound Frenchie. My foster mom says I am a little couch potato, and I look like one too! I like to play with my brother Rockie. We are a bonded pair, I love him so much! I am house, crate, and leash trained. I’m pretty low energy, so I would be ok with seniors. I get along just fine with kids and other doggies. I do have some lacerations on my eye so I need eye drops regularly. I’m also an itchy guy and I do require daily Prescription Apoquel Tablets as well as medicated baths in shampoo acquired at the Vet 1-3 times a month which helps tremendously keep my Allergies in check. But I love my bath time! I don’t mind adventures in the car and I like walks too. My ideal home would be a family that wants 2 super sweet boys, and loves to cuddle! My adoption fee is $475. Meet sweet Puglsey! Pugsley is around 4 years old. We named him Pugsley Addams because he came to us around Halloween time. His favorite pastime is to follow you around the house. He wants to have you in his line of sight all the time. He loves to cuddle and will be a wonderful companion dog to anyone. He enjoys his daily walks and walks well on leash. He is good with cats. He would be happier if he is the only dog at home. Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit from an RHS representative. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Chombi came from Panama she is bilingual. She is a super sweet girl and is housebroken. She is great w all the little dogs I have had her w and loves to play w them. She is a typical frenchie and has a feisty attitude she is very sweet and I love this girl. Her adoption fee is higher due to how much we spend just vetting her. Fee $300 Chombi is considered special needs cause she has Behavioral issues where she will try to bite if she doesn’t want u to grab her. That is also why her fee is lowered
