Story
This tiny guy was almost hit by a car. A good Samaritan scooped him up and got him to the shelter. But he needed out! He was only 10 lbs, just a baby, we didn't even know his age. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Bruiser is a feisty 1 year old 17 lb. Pug. He's the whole package! Rough and tumble but the biggest snuggle pug too. I love him so much. He deserves treats, treats and more treats... and lots of kisses too. Bruiser is a funny guy. Calm but playful. And boy can he snore. You will never walk alone with this guy. Or bath alone, or lay in bed alone …. You get the idea. Oh, and great at smack talk too! Sweet puggy guy. So handsome, funny and sweet. Loves to play and just as happy to snuggle or sunbath. Loves dogs but really loves people more. This sweet 1-year-old pug named Bruiser was admitted to ER in serious pain. The owners were unable to afford the medical care he needed and were preparing to euthanize him. Instead of euthanasia, Bruiser has now been surrendered so he can receive treatment. He had a severe urinary tract infection and his white blood cell count was elevated, indicating infection. Even more concerning, he had bladder stones that were stuck in his urethra, which was extremely painful and dangerous. Without this surgery, Bruiser could not urinate and his condition quickly become life-threatening. Story
**Meet Kira!** Sweet, snorty, and fully retired from both puppy chaos *and* motherhood, Kira is ready to claim her rightful place as a full-time lap ornament. She’s the perfect mix of low-key companion and affectionate shadow—happy to waddle beside you on a stroll or snooze the day away by your side (while providing a little commentary along the way). 💚 **Fun Facts** * Loves toys twice her size (the bigger, the better) * Professional snuggler and champion napper * Deep sleeper… with award-winning snores * Spinning in happy little circles is her signature move * Thinks every meal is a five-star dining experience * A bit chatty on walks—she likes to announce her presence to the world * Former mama turned “playground police”… she likes to keep everyone in line 🏡 **Behavior & Home Life** **Energy Level:** Low **Leash:** Walks well and enjoys a nice, easy stroll (with a little commentary) **Crate:** Not crate trained, but does well in a pen setup **Home Routine:** Thrives with a calm, cozy routine and would likely do great with someone who can keep her on a consistent schedule **Socialization:** Has done well with people and other dogs **Other Dogs:** Friendly, especially with smaller pups (may supervise playtime 😉) **People & Strangers:** Very friendly and loves attention **Kids:** Likely best in a calmer home or with older kids **Car Rides/Outings:** Great in the car—happy to be your little copilot Kira is currently pen/potty pad trained and doing well with that setup. After raising multiple litters, her bladder is basically on its own retirement plan—sometimes it follows the rules, sometimes it freelances. She’d do best with someone who can keep her on a regular schedule as she continues to improve! .

Story
Carina Dee is a sweet, happy, Pugalicious little girl with a big love for life. She adores toys, chew bones and exploring her yard, and - most of all - snuggling with her humans. A true cuddlebug, she is happiest curled up in your lap, showering you with kisses. Carina Dee is crate trained and will happily go to her crate when called, sleeping quietly through the night close to her foster mom. She is very proud of her outdoor potty progress, though her house training is still a work in progress. Affectionately known as "Sweet Dee", she will thrive as an only pup where she can soak up all the love, but she may also do well with another dog her size and similar age. If you are looking for a cuddly, fun, and devoted companion, Sweet Dee is your girl! Please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
My name is Ozzie, and I am 1.5 years old. 16 lb Pug. Before I cam to Humane Tomorrow, I was living with 5 other Pugs, all relatives of some kind, together in a house. We never went outside of the house, and I know now what a mess and how unhealthy that was. Now I am in a foster home, with other dogs, but we go outside into a yard, and my foster family has been teaching me what doggies are supposed to do. I’ve learned a lot in the last few weeks, but still have more to learn. I’m a little mouthy – using my mouth and teeth sometimes (just to play), but still probably not a good fit with young kids. I’ve discovered that I especially like to play tug with my people, but sometimes I get a little overstimulated when I play. So, just let me win and call the game! I get along well with the other dogs in the household most of the time, and have discovered I like to chew on nylabones. I like to sit with my people, cuddling with them and sometimes I like to get up high on the top of chairs so I get a view of everything around me. I am still getting used to this thing around my neck (collar) and walking on a leash, but I like it in my foster home with all the attention I’m getting. I am crate trained, but any new home will need to continue my house training. I’ve been wearing a belly band while I figure things out. If you are interested in me, please complete an application and one of the adoption counselors will contact you.

Story
Nothing is more fun than a Pug!!! Colby (alias Cheesehead – IYKYK) is a silly, fun dog that loves attention. When he came into his foster home, he was at first a little hesitant, but he got over that quickly and his cuddly personality is coming out. He loves to be around people, following his foster parents around the house and yard. He is not into toys as much as the other pugs in the household, but he does like chewies (nylabones and benebones). He gets along with the other dogs most of the time (occasionally he and his brother – we think- Ozzie get into a tiff – a bit of sibling rivalry), but he gets along with all the other dogs in the home, sometimes playing chase. Colby is more of a follower than a leader and as such would do better in a home with another confident dog, or someone who has experience with dogs and their training. He is still adjusting to new things (like big trucks driving by, sirens, watching birds and squirrels, hearing the grandfather clock). Colby is one of 6 pugs that Humane Tomorrow took in who had little socialization or exposure to the outside world. He is learning about everything at breakneck speed and figuring out what it all means. He is a little cutie that just wants to be loved. We are working on house training, walking on a leash and other basic commands. Whoever adopts Colby will need to continue these lessons. If you are interested in Colby, please complete an application and one of our adoption counselors will contact you.
