Good with kids, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
They call me DogMeat (Fallout reference) and they think im a mix of Malinois and German Shepard. They say im REALLY sweet, smart, and high in energy. I'm great around kids 12 and up, unsure how patient i can be under that age range but I was found next to a kids park and was super curious about all the children. I can be leash aggressive, but do well with our dogs off leash and when able to be redirected, i'll eventually warm up to other dogs, untested as of yet around cats. I'm potty trained, somewhat command trained (understand spanish more then english) but easily redirectable with signals and firm reinforcements. I'm wary/cautious of people until you spend a little time with me. I have a Lot of energy and I want to go on runs, hikes, and i'm sure I can be guided and learn how to be the goodest of girls.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Marley is a 4 yr old, large handsome boy who is well trained and easy going. He is a genuinely a medium energy dog who does well with a few walks a day or a gentle jog. He'd prefer a mellow lifestyle as he loves to cuddle, nap on the couch (or on a dog bed), and hang out with his humans. He has no separation anxiety so if you need to leave him he's relaxed and happy in a crate. He's also fine not crated (has never destroyed anything) and uses a dog door. Marley is fully house trained, great in the car, and walks well on leash. As with many shepherds and herding breeds he has a strong prey drive, so a home without small children, small dogs or cats is best. He is well trained, but will need consistency and additional training to ensure that when his prey drive kicks in (squirrel on the path!) he takes his cues from you. His prey drive also surfaces when bicycles zoom past and he has a minor bite incident due to this. It wasn't aggression, just his deeply ingrained prey drive coming to the surface. This is a trait that can be suppressed through consistent training. Marley's foster told us that he is a love bug and knows the commands sit, down, off, up, stay, shake, hold, drop, and his heel release command is 'free.' They also felt that Marley would do great as an only dog or with a gentle female. If you love them big, loving, loyal, and eager to please then Marley is your boy! Come visit him at our facility, he's available for foster or adoption.

Story
Meet Cloud! This happy fluff ball is ready to bring you with her to cloud 9! Her joyous energy is infectious, and you can't help but smile at her excitable nature and propensity for zoomies! Cloud's puppy energy is still very prevalent, leading us to recommend that she got to a home with a more experienced dog owner. She is very trainable and walks very well on a leash, is potty trained, but needs a human that will continue to work with her! She was in foster care where she did very well, but showed possessiveness of toys and other things with her foster dog siblings, so we would not place her in a home with young children, perhaps a home with children 14 years old and older. Cloud enjoys long walks on the beach at sunset and snuggle time. Don`t let the name fool you- she will bring nothing but bright sunny skies to your life! Cloud is looking to be the only cloud in your sunny sky, but wouldn't mind having play dates with other dogs.

Story
Buddy is a two-year-old husky mix ready to capture your heart with his unique blend of intelligence, sweetness, and charm. Unlike the stereotypical husky temperament, Buddy is a truly exceptional companion who is eager to learn and please his special person. This handsome fellow has a striking appearance, with his beautiful short coat that's is as soft as a cloud. But it's not just Buddy's looks that will draw you in-it's his remarkable personality that shines through. One of Buddy's most endearing qualities is his gentle nature. He takes treats with the utmost care, never nipping or snatching. This delightful trait demonstrates his understanding and respect for boundaries, making him an absolute pleasure to be around. Buddy's eagerness to learn also sets him apart, as he readily picks up new commands and thrives on mental stimulation. When it comes to leash manners, Buddy is a star pupil. He walks beside you with minimal pulling, making your adventures together an absolute joy. This is a testament to his great training and his desire to please. Whether you're strolling through the park or exploring new trails, Buddy will be right by your side, enjoying every moment of the journey. He would do well in a peaceful and consistent environment, surrounded by loads of affection. This special pup's journey led him to the Milo Foundation Sanctuary, where he found safety and care after being lost. Now, it's our mission to find Buddy the loving forever home he deserves-a place where he can feel secure, cherished, and surrounded by a family that appreciates his unique qualities. Please call 707-459-4900 to set up an appointment to meet Buddy.
