Story
Meet Zuko! This handsome fella is about 2 years old, neutered and fully vaccinated. He was found as a stray and is currently staying at a doggy daycare until his forever home is secured. Zuko enjoys walks and knows simple commands like: down, come, stay, drop, leave it and place. He is off-leash trained, loves to play ball and go to the beach. Zuko is still working on getting along with dominant male dogs and has gotten a lot better with meeting new people. Sound like your kinda dog? Contact Maya to meet Zuko today at (510) 290-5647. He is currently staying at a doggie daycare, so even if you're just interested in fostering Zuko, that would be amazing! California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.April 17, 2024, 11:49 pm

Story
Meet Mona. Mona is a sweet, gentle senior shepherd who was rescued from the Contra Costa County Shelter. The Shelter believed that Mona had a huge, cancerous tumor that was beyond their resources to remove. Abbey Vet examined Mona and determined that she did not have a cancerous tumor at all. Instead, she was diagnosed with a massive mammary infection, probably due to nursing a recent litter of puppies. Mona learned leash skills and is potty trained. She loves cuddling and spending time with kids. She does fine with medium and large size dogs but not so much small ones. The perfect home for Mona would be with a family that likes to take leisurely walks around the neighborhood and spend time at home on the couch watching TV and/or movies. Mona is spayed, UTD on vaccines and microchipped. Applications are being at www.jellysplace.org and qualified applicants will be contacted. Mona's adoption fee is being sponsored by a Jelly's Place volunteer.

Story
Nico is a beautiful 3 yo German Shepherd who was rescued from the Contra Costa County Animal Shelter. He is affectionate, eager to please, foid motivated, walks great on a leash and rides well in a car. He is house trained and a great companion dog. The ideal home for Niko would be a family that likes to take walks around the neighborhood and short hikes. He would do well in a home with a small dog. No cats. He loves kids, but given his size, he would do better with older kids. Nico is UTD on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Applications are being accepted and qualified applicants will be contacted.

Story
Meet Cloud! This happy fluff ball is ready to bring you with her to cloud 9! Her joyous energy is infectious, and you can't help but smile at her excitable nature and propensity for zoomies! Cloud's puppy energy is still very prevalent, leading us to recommend that she got to a home with a more experienced dog owner. She is very trainable and walks very well on a leash, is potty trained, but needs a human that will continue to work with her! She was in foster care where she did very well, but showed possessiveness of toys and other things with her foster dog siblings, so we would not place her in a home with young children, perhaps a home with children 14 years old and older. Cloud enjoys long walks on the beach at sunset and snuggle time. Don`t let the name fool you- she will bring nothing but bright sunny skies to your life! Cloud is looking to be the only cloud in your sunny sky, but wouldn't mind having play dates with other dogs.

Meet Tuck! This boy isn't looking to spend his days watching reruns of The Office and scrolling through Netflix, he needs adventure and the great outdoors. Hiking, beach, parks, you name it, he's ready for it. He is working on fetch, he leaves retrieving the ball up to you. Tuck is ready to find his forever home with a person who loves exploring the outdoors and to build that unconditional love you can't find anywhere else.

Story
Godiva is a friendly, outgoing "Lady". Athletic, though not hyper, she is a great walking or jogging companion, a nice addition, ideally for an adult home who is dog savvy and can provide consistency and encouragement while enjoying time together. Godiva loves people, and just wants to have a good time with her person. She loves to snuggle even more than she likes to leap and play (and she loves that!). Godiva is what we call a "California Brown Dog" a mix of Shepherd, Lab, and other good things! She is a nice size, walks well on leash and is smart and trainable. Not good with chickens.

Story
Buddy is a two-year-old husky mix ready to capture your heart with his unique blend of intelligence, sweetness, and charm. Unlike the stereotypical husky temperament, Buddy is a truly exceptional companion who is eager to learn and please his special person. This handsome fellow has a striking appearance, with his beautiful short coat that's is as soft as a cloud. But it's not just Buddy's looks that will draw you in-it's his remarkable personality that shines through. One of Buddy's most endearing qualities is his gentle nature. He takes treats with the utmost care, never nipping or snatching. This delightful trait demonstrates his understanding and respect for boundaries, making him an absolute pleasure to be around. Buddy's eagerness to learn also sets him apart, as he readily picks up new commands and thrives on mental stimulation. When it comes to leash manners, Buddy is a star pupil. He walks beside you with minimal pulling, making your adventures together an absolute joy. This is a testament to his great training and his desire to please. Whether you're strolling through the park or exploring new trails, Buddy will be right by your side, enjoying every moment of the journey. He would do well in a peaceful and consistent environment, surrounded by loads of affection. This special pup's journey led him to the Milo Foundation Sanctuary, where he found safety and care after being lost. Now, it's our mission to find Buddy the loving forever home he deserves-a place where he can feel secure, cherished, and surrounded by a family that appreciates his unique qualities.

LOCATION: SANCTUARY IN WILLITS, CA. Thank you for considering adoption of a Milo Foundation Sanctuary dog. Our Sanctuary is where our rescued dogs who have had difficulty in a home in the past, have behavioral issues, or too much energy, or for some, aggression issues with other dogs, or intense stranger danger that make them more difficult to safely and happily live in urban environments. These are not beginner dogs or for the most part nor are they for families with children. IF you are looking for an easy dog to add to your family, we suggest looking at the dogs at our Adoption Center, Milo Pt Richmond. BUT, if you can offer a safe and nurturing home to a dog with some behavioral "quirks" please do send an application today. Thank you. ************************************ O Lady Jane! This beautiful girl is so deserving of a loving home. She is sweet and friendly but very nervous and insecure out in the world. She came in with her mom Ingrid, but her mom was adopted and now it's her turn! She can spook easily although she walks well on leash once she is comfortable with you. Lady Jane will be able to blossom in a calm, patient and kid-free house hold. She would do best in a rural or suburban setting with plenty of room to run around and perhaps a mentor dog. She is very intelligent--she can open doors--and needs training and further socialization. She will be a perfect companion for someone who can be home a lot of the time, and give her the nurturing she needs. Come meet her and fall in love today at Milo Point Richmond.... she needs a special home devoted to helping her get settled in the world!

These pups are in San Pablo, California too!

Story
Meet Arcee - one of our Transformer Pups! She was rescued from the Central Valley with her sister BB and has been in a foster home ever since. Arcee is currently fostered with two big dogs and they play really well. She also has a kitty in the home and is very respectful. She loves to play with other dogs and humans. Arcee is really smart, friendly and the life of the party. She has met tons of children and does well with them too. She really is a perfect, smart, affection gal! We recently did a DNA test on her and she is a mix of 4 breeds - American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd. Arcee has been diagnosed with Megaesophagus and requires livelong medication ($15/month) and feeding  meals upright - her adoption comes with her custom Bailey Chair. She really is a special gal and would love to be added to your family! Reach out and schedule a time to meet Miss Arcee today. Arcee's adoption fee has been covered by the Upright Canine Brigade.  California Pit bull Rescue is an official 501(c)(3) and requires an adoption application and $200 donation fee for all adoptions.April 17, 2024, 11:49 pm
