Story
German Shepherd Mix &#194&#149 3 years &#194&#149 Female &#194&#149 Medium &#194&#149 50lbs We found Hema on the side of the road bleeding profusely from his right nostril and took her to two different vets since the first one could not get the bleeding to stop. He stayed at the vet for 3 days while they tried to figure out why she would not stop bleeding. The bleeding was stopped. She was very skinny, and in poor nutritional health so felt this maybe the problem. She has been with us for several years and her nose bleeds if there is hot weather and if she is in direct sun light.  She is a special needs dog because of this. She may have a genetic disorder. Von Willebrand's disease. She is best for a home with no kids and no other pets. Hema does have shedding issues due to some skin problems that require daily care. She is not good with strangers and barks excessively if she hears people coming around. Hema can be destructive with household items so its best not to leave her unattended. She also likes to dig and jump fences so you need to have a large high fence.  Hema can have separation anxiety as well if left alone too long.  She also may have accidents in the home so she has to be watched to be taken outside to go to the bathroom. We do not have a central location to see our dogs.  Meeting any dog is by appointment ONLY currently. Appointments can be set up to meet any dog in San Diego. Currently we are unable to do any out-of-state adoptions. Story
Ozzy is a STUNNING 4-year-old male German Shepherd x Husky mix, weighing around 50lbs of love. He is fully crate trained, and gets along well with all dogs and humans alike that he interacts with. He walks nicely on a leash and is a very sweet boy with a lot of love to give! His foster mom describes him as being very gentle, plays well with all, happily and politely takes treats when given, and enjoys car rides.  He loves hiking on trails and would be an amazing addition for someone whose active! He enjoys sniffing, exploring, and going for adventures.  His breed inherently has a high prey drive, so no small dogs or cats for him. He gets along great with everyone else! ##2581164##

Easy IS AVAILABLE (updated 12-17-2025). To meet any of our dogs, complete our online adoption application on our website: http://www.coastalgsr.org/dogs/easy The six â&#194&#128&#194&#156E litterâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 puppies were found in a shelter drop box. They were very dirty but appeared to be surprisingly healthy. There are five boys: Echo, Easy, Elton, Ethan, and Everest, and one girl: Emma. They are 3 months old and weigh around 15 pounds. Emma and Elton are light blond; the others are black and tan. They are German Shepherd mixes but how much GSD, we arenâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t sure. They are in a foster home where they have settled in nicely and their foster mom is learning more about each of their personalities. Easy is just like his name: easy going. He gets along with his littermates and enjoys his time in the 'big yard' exploring and roaming. The minimum adoption donation is $375 for adults and $500 for puppies. This helps cover vet care, boarding fees, and other expenses. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.December 17, 2025, 6:11 am
