A retired couple or a family with children 10 yo and up, e busy household who takes their beloved pet with them everywhere- shiopping, to the kids soccer games, on vacation, etc would be the perfect future for this lovely girl. We do NOT recommend a dog like this if you work a traditional 8 hour work day away from home. German Shepherd Mix &#194&#149 3 years &#194&#149 Female &#194&#149 Medium &#194&#149 50lbs We found Hema on the side of the road bleeding profusely from his right nostril and took her to two different vets since the first one could not get the bleeding to stop. He stayed at the vet for 3 days while they tried to figure out why she would not stop bleeding. The bleeding was stopped. She was very skinny, and in poor nutritional health so felt this maybe the problem. She has been with us for several years and her nose bleeds if there is hot weather and if she is in direct sun light. She is a special needs dog because of this. She may have a genetic disorder. Von Willebrand's disease. She is best for a home with no kids and no other pets. Hema does have shedding issues due to some skin problems that require daily care. She is not good with strangers and barks excessively if she hears people coming around. Hema can be destructive with household items so its best not to leave her unattended. She also likes to dig and jump fences so you need to have a large high fence. Hema can have separation anxiety as well if left alone too long. She also may have accidents in the home so she has to be watched to be taken outside to go to the bathroom.We do not have a central location to see our dogs. Meeting any dog is by appointment ONLY currently. Appointments can be set up to meet any dog in San Diego. Currently we are unable to do any out-of-state adoptions. Koa is the best puppy we've ever had. My wife and I have two other dogs that we raised from when they were puppies, Koa has been so much easier than the other two were. However, back then we didn't have any kids, so it was a lot easier for us to put in the time necessary to raising a puppy. We have a 1-and-a-half-year-old daughter and are wanting more kids, and unfortunately, we don't have the ability to give Koa the life she deserves. Shes the sweetest puppy. She loves cuddles, playing with her stuffed animals and chewing on her unhides. She is also very submissive. She gets along great with our two other dogs and our daughter. We have a crate for her that she sleeps in at night, only needing to go out once a night to go potty. My wife and I have been working with her on getting her potty trained and is going pretty well. We have a lot of stuff we've bought for her that were willing to give along with the adoption if desired. We just want to find the perfect home for her.

Dieter is a mellow, 7 year old, German Shepherd who enjoys spending most of his time outdoors in the yard. He is not very active, but does enjoy short walks. We have had Dieter for 6 years, after rescuing him, and now we have two small children and the two don't mix well. He is not aggressive at all and will allow guests and strangers into the house with ease, but he is protective of his food and we have had incidents with our young kids (3 years and younger) that make us uneasy. Dieter has been a wonderful dog the entire time we have had him and it's with a heavy heart we need to put him up to be re-homed. He will make a great dog for someone who likes a mellow dog who will hang out with them around the house and yard. He loves other dogs and plays well with them. He is social and likes people as well.

German Shepard rescue from TJ. It had been rescued by a local TJ charity from a bad owner. Two legs had been ran over by a car. They did surgery to save her and she is currently healthy and happy. Except that she is missing a back leg and one front paw is slightly turned outward. She's very sweet, happy and mild mannered dog. She is also very mobile and can play well with other dogs, go on walks etc. but she seems to prefer to lay down and just relax most the day. She's good with other dogs, but not with cats. Please reach out to us if you would be willing to provide her a new home. She is currently being held at a dog sitters home in Rancho Santa Fe and they have agreed to foster her in the meantime.
