Story
This lovely girl is already here and looking for a place where she can lay her head down every night to rest and dream. If interested in adopting, fostering, or fostering to adopt Sadie please fill out an application here http://www.bestfriendsforlifeanimalrescue.com/ Sadie I'm thinking maybe we could rest and dream This world in not enough for me Sadie This may sound crazy but I don't always dream I just can't fall asleep without you I'm counting down the days since I've seen your smile, your face- from 'Sadie' by The Bunny The Bear. Sadie is a sweet 2 year old Shepherd mix weighing 55 lbs. She is already house and crate trained and is working on improving her leash manners. She can be a little shy at first but quickly resumes her sweet loving affectionate demeanor. She is good with other dogs. She has not been around cats so we are unsure how she would react to them. She made the road trip from a Kansas shelter to our rescue in CT quite well. Sadie is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. All she needs now is her very own forever loving family and home where the world will finally be a good place. Will you be the one who will give her a wonderful life where together you can rest and dream? Will you be the one who will always come back to Sadie?

Story
On April 6th, we said “yes” to a momma dog and her eight puppies, who, along with their previous owner, were facing eviction. That day, Lucy and her three-week-old “Lights” began their journey toward forever homes with us. By 10 weeks old, all of her puppies had headed north to join amazing families. Now, after months of love, care and vetting, it’s Lucy’s turn to find a home of her own. Lucy is three years old and has consistently weighed in at a healthy, athletic 50 pounds. She adores the other dogs in her foster home but is not a fan of cats, so we’re looking specifically for a cat-free home. As a mom, Lucy was exceptional. She was protective, intuitive, kind, and deeply connected to her puppies. It was a joy to watch her teach, play with, and gently discipline her growing litter. Her maternal instincts extend to her humans, too. She’s a deeply empathetic dog who is always tuned in to the mood around her. She enjoys zooming around the yard and has picked out a few equally spirited friends to wrestle with. Afterward, she’ll happily soak in the doggy pool in the summer or head inside for a well-earned nap on the couch. Lucy is smart and responsive. She learns quickly, takes correction seriously, and adapted to crate training like a pro. She loves all toys and treats and will steal your lap at the end of the day. Lucy's ideal family will give her space to warm up at her own pace to strangers and will handle new introductions with care and patience. She has come so far in her time at Good Catch. From an exhausted momma dog, to a confident and thriving companion. Lucy is mostly Shepherd (60%) with a splash of 8 other breeds. Her adorably mismatched ears, one up and one down, soften her serious shepherd face, but make no mistake—her working-dog drive is intact. Squirrels beware. She would thrive in a home with a yard to run in and children over six, as toddlers might be a little overwhelming for her. Lucy has been the matriarch to so many other foster dogs while in our care. She would thrive in a home with another dog but also would do well as a singleton if she gets the enrichment she deserves. She can be a couch potato, but only after she gets her outdoor exercise. Lucy is fully vetted, microchipped, house trained, leash trained, and has received a ProHeart 12 shot to cover her heartworm prevention for the year. She is ready for her next chapter, and we can’t wait to see her find the home she deserves. We only use trusted transport partners to deliver our dogs North to their families.

Story
Meet Honey, a super cute ~4 month old female German Shepherd mix puppy, currently weighing about 23 lbs! We expect her to grow to a medium/large dog. Honey was saved from an overcrowded kill shelter in east TN. She earned her freedom ride to New England and is currently being fostered in CT while she waits to find her furever home! Honey is a sweet, happy girl who loves people (especially kids!), and other dogs. She has not been cat tested, but she is still young enough that we think she'd do just fine with dog savvy cats. She is gentle and loving, and she LOVES running around and playing outside! Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs! She is medically up to date, crate trained, and working on housebreaking. Apply to meet this darling pup today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2614802##
