Story
Meet Maka, the white German Shepherd! Maka is an intact, 6 year old female. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and is AKC certified (although you will have to look her up on the registry bc her papers were lost in a move). We are heartbroken to be parting with her, but she does not like cats, and my elderly dad needs his therapy cat immensely. So unfortunately, we have to place our friend to a good home. Maka is a sweet dog, who wants friends. She can be skiddish around people she doesn’t know, but once she gets to know them, she will be their friend for life! She is known as a lap dog (although she is big lol), and she is a master of the four-legged jump for “cookies” (dog treats). She would do best in a single dog family, without cats. If you’d like to see her, please PM me. She is free to a good and loving home, as we are broken hearted to part with her. Please share this as much as you can, so we can find her a permanent home.🩷🩷🩷

This lovely girl is already here and looking for a place where she can lay her head down every night to rest and dream. If interested in adopting, fostering, or fostering to adopt Sadie please fill out an application here http://www.bestfriendsforlifeanimalrescue.com/ Sadie I'm thinking maybe we could rest and dream This world in not enough for me Sadie This may sound crazy but I don't always dream I just can't fall asleep without you I'm counting down the days since I've seen your smile, your face- from 'Sadie' by The Bunny The Bear. Sadie is a sweet 2 year old Shepherd mix weighing 55 lbs. She is already house and crate trained and is working on improving her leash manners. She can be a little shy at first but quickly resumes her sweet loving affectionate demeanor. She is good with other dogs. She has not been around cats so we are unsure how she would react to them. She made the road trip from a Kansas shelter to our rescue in CT quite well. Sadie is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. All she needs now is her very own forever loving family and home where the world will finally be a good place. Will you be the one who will give her a wonderful life where together you can rest and dream? Will you be the one who will always come back to Sadie?

Story
Meet Pip!Breed Guess: Dutch Sheperd/BoxerAge: Young Adult...best guess is 2-3 years oldWeight: 52lbs,,,she is a perfect, petite, medium girl Other Animals: Pip LOVES other dogs of all ages and sizes and will play very respectfully with them. She will adjust her play style to match who is there, from puppies to strong adults. She is submissive and adjusts beautifully to all dog personalities. She has a strong prey drive so any small animal is not a match for her forever home. Kids: From what we have seen so far, we think she would be fine with children of any age (we will update as she meets more)House training: She is perfect and has never had an accident in the houseExercise needs: Pip has a great energy level with a lot of get up and go, but then settles when she is home. She LOVES playing with other dogs so we would prefer a home where she has a lot of outlets to do that and/or a dog sibling or two. She has amazing leash skills and loves to be out and about, in the car, or on visits anywhere. You name it, Pip is up for the adventure! What she's great at: Being respectful in the home, walking on leash, learning, and just about everything! What she's working on: Not sure yet...she's pretty much ready to move inPersonality: Pip is upbeat, fun, sweet, submissive, respectful & a cuddle bug.  She loves cozy up next to her human on the couch!Pip's Story: She was found roaming in traffic in Grand Cayman Island when a volunteer from the shelter drove by. She got out and was able to secure her after a lot of coaxing and brought Pip to safety. She fostered her for 7 months until we finally had room to take her in here. Dogs on the islands have a difficult time finding good homes so the volunteers go out of their way to get them to rescues in the states where they can have the homes they deserve. We feel honored to find the special family this girl so deserves!Dream Home: Pip would thrive with loving, active humans who are social and want to include their dog in their daily activities. Pip is that rare find where she can be trusted to make you proud in almost any setting. She would love to have a fur sibling and friends and is pretty close to perfect. A true gem who is completely ready to meet you and move in. Please put an application in and let's set up a play date!  ##2051068##

Story
My name is Gus, and I'm a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois mix weighing in at about 45ish lbs. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a bit of my story with you. My siblings and I find ourselves looking for new homes because our beloved owner tragically passed away in an accident. It's been an incredibly tough and confusing time for us, but we're trying to stay positive and hopeful that we'll find new loving families who can offer us the care and companionship we need.First and foremost, let me tell you a bit about myself. I've been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, so I'm all set and ready to go to my forever home. Now, let's talk about my personality and habits. I have a pretty moderate energy level, which means I can be quite versatile in different living situations. I absolutely love to play and have fun, whether it's a game of fetch, a romp in the yard, or just a playful wrestling match with my doggy friends. But don't worry if you're looking for a more relaxed companion – I also enjoy being a couch potato. There's nothing better than curling up next to you on the sofa for some quality cuddle time or just lounging around the house while you go about your day.One of the things you might appreciate about me is that I'm housebroken and crate trained. This means I've got a good grasp on my bathroom manners, and I'm comfortable staying in a crate if needed. It can be a great way to ensure I feel safe and secure, especially when you're not home. When it comes to socializing, I'm quite the friendly pup. I get along well with other dogs, cats, and even kids. However, it's important to remember that proper introductions are crucial. Taking the time to introduce me to my new furry or human family members in a careful and controlled way will help ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe. I promise to do my best to make friends and be a good companion to all.In closing, I just want to say that I'm really looking forward to finding my new family. I have so much love to give and can't wait to share lots of fun, happy moments together. If you think I might be the right fit for your home, please consider giving me a chance. I know that with your love and care, we can create a beautiful new chapter in both our lives. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me, and I hope to meet my new forever family soon!   Apply for me at www.astdogrescue.com/dog-application ##2149898##
