IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. MEET ECHO: Echo is a 1 year German Shepherd (DOB 11/11/2022) that weighs 60lbs, and growing! Echo was found as a stray and unfortunately, no one came forward to claim her. This beautiful dog has a striking dark face and impressively long ears that help her hear every sound. She is friendly and social, always seeking attention and love from humans. Echo loves playing with toys and has boundless energy, going to no end for the satisfaction of her people. She knows some commands and is very true to the German Shepherd breed. Echo needs an active family who is experienced in handling the Shepherd breed. She is not suitable for first-time dog owners due to her energy level and breed specific needs. Additionally, she is not a good fit for apartment or mobile home living, as she requires a larger space to roam. Echo would not do well with a tether system. Echo has done well with other dogs of similar size and energy level. However, she may be too overwhelming for older or smaller breed dogs. She has not yet met a cat, so it is unknown how she would react to them. Echo seems to be good with dog-savvy children and may even enjoy their company. Echo is crate trained but may initially bark when being placed in a crate. She has shown a good understanding of house manners and has adapted well to a home environment with routine and consistency. Overall, Echo is a wonderful dog who would thrive in an active household with experienced owners who understand the needs and temperament of the German Shepherd breed. If you are ready to give Echo the forever home she deserves, please consider adopting her and providing her with the love and attention she craves. Story
This is Pippa! It’s not easy for us but we have made the decision to rehome our big girl as it is best for our family. Unfortunately there have been several altercations between her and our other female dog. Thankfully she has had no issues at all with our kids, our boy dog, or older cat. Pip’s the kind of dog that will love on you when you ask but doesn’t need to be in your lap. She loves to go on runs, especially bike rides! She would make someone very, very happy and we would love nothing more than for Pippa to end up with a family that loves her as much as we do. Please see the last picture for more detailed information!

Story
Willow is an amazing dog. She is smart, beautiful, and has A LOT of energy. I’ve had her for over a year and a half and just recently moved from an apartment to house where I have seen MAJOR improvements but still has a long way to go. We live with my grandparents who are 80 years old and my 2 cats. She does ok with the cats and tends to chase them even still being over a year later. She is very dog/human reactive and needs to be with the right person who can do that for her. I wouldn’t say no dogs around her ever, she does well slowly. She is a working dog and proves it every day. She has special quirks about her that are a lot to handle but also just too cute. She needs to be in a home with NO other animals to start and a Human who can provide what she needs when it comes to her behavior and energy. She is an awesome dog all around, her current home isn’t meeting her requirements and thats why she needs someone who can give her all of what she needs that I am not able to provide her.

Story
East TN and out of state welcome! Note this dog is being fostered in the state of TN but no worries the adoption fee you see on adopt a pet includes transport costs to a location near you. This is Daisy! We pulled her from Urgent list at our local shelter here in East TN! We are so glad we were able to take her in. We got her last week and she is simply amazing! What a great dog. She has done great with a large playgroup of 10-13 dogs of all ages sizes and temperament. She is good with males and females. She’s very playful appears to be house trained, does wonderful in her crate at night. She loves water and splashing around in a pool. She is seeet and loving too. she is around 2 years old and is Heartworm negative! NO CATS, Children over the age of 10 due to her size and playfulness. She doesn’t realize she can knock kids down. The little kids do make her a little nervous. She loves her people and if you are on the other said of the fence she will want to go be with you this happen the first few days but she has since calmed down now that she knows where she is and who we are and her new routine. She’s just one great dog! Please apply petpath.org This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
