Story
He's a goofy boy. He knows tricks like sit, lay down, touch, paw and other paw, and kiss. He likes to lay in weird positions and loves some squeaky toys. He has pretty bad allergies but over the counter allergy medicine and supplements seem to work for him. He's prone to ear infections. He is 3 years old and not neutered. He's a good boy but like any dog he has his moments. He is crate trained. He's pretty skinny now and also has some problems with his paws but the vet said that was due to allergies. Again, he's a good boy and I can't take care of him anymore so I'm hoping else can give him the life he deserves.

Story
Hi Friend!I`m Penny, named after Penny Lane! I`m a 2-4 year old German Shepherd. I`m a gentle giant and a complete cuddlebug. I`ve gone through training so that way folks can work with my 102 lbs easily.I know sit, down, place, here, and my name. I`m house broken. I`m working on loose leash walking with my foster so walks will be enjoyable together.I love to cuddle up on the couch with my foster. I`ll lay next to him, behind him and even sometimes on him. I also love to go outside and explore.I do not realize how big and strong I am, so I need a home without other pets and with no small children.2xl crate trained and also 5x5 kennel. You should hurry up and put in an application to meet me new friend!Personality: Affectionate, Athletic, Brave, Curious, Dignified, Friendly, Funny, Gentle, Playful, Smart, LoyalHouse-trained: YesSpayed/Neutered:YesVaccinated:YesPenny~born~12/15/22_____Standard and Special Breed adoption fees includes age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test, spay/neuter and microchip! Please click on the link for more information:Online Adoption Application: paawarren.org/adopt/adoption-application-formWebsite for details, info: paawarren.org***PAAW’s Avocato Catfé is now open in Farmington Hills! Story
Meet Claire Bear! Claire Bear is a beautiful 1.5-year-old girl with a big heart to match her big size. Claire was originally adopted from a local shelter as a puppy but was recently returned a year later when her family decided they no longer wanted her. Understandably, she was very shut down and petrified in the shelter environment - but once she felt safe again, her true, sweet personality started to shine. Claire currently weighs about 83 lbs and could benefit from losing a little weight, as she appears to have been overfed in the past. With regular exercise and a consistent routine, she’ll be feeling her best in no time. She is a social and friendly girl who absolutely loves playing with other dogs that are tolerant of her size and enthusiastic energy. Because she can be a bit much for smaller dogs, she’d do best with similarly sized canine friends. Claire has lived with cats previously and done well. This happy girl enjoys romping around outside and would thrive in a home with a physically fenced yard, as her leash manners still need some polishing. She has a good understanding of house manners and is learning about crate training - she’s new to it since her previous owners allowed her to free-range. Unfortunately, boredom led her to occasionally chew shoes, so she’ll benefit from structure, enrichment, and plenty of appropriate toys (which she loves!). Claire Bear adores spending time with her people, does well with dog-savvy children, and truly has all the makings of a wonderful family dog. She’s affectionate, playful, and just wants a family who will love her, guide her, and commit to her furever. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a playful spirit and a whole lot of love to give, Claire Bear might be your perfect match. Story
Meet Leonidas (aka Leo)! Leo is a 5-month-old, 35-lb German Shepherd mix with movie-star looks and a whole lot of puppy charm. He’s a handsome fella who’s still very much a puppy, complete with playful energy, curiosity, and those classic puppy mannerisms that make you smile. Leo is doing great learning the ropes of home life. He’s crate trained and is working hard on perfecting his house manners, thriving with a consistent routine and clear expectations. He’s food-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding, and he’ll benefit from continued work—especially with leash manners, where he’s still learning his best walking etiquette. Socially, Leo enjoys other dogs who are tolerant of puppy energy and active play. He recently met a cat and is still deciding whether they’re a friend or a fascinating mystery, so a slow, thoughtful introduction would be important in a cat home. Because of his expected size, energy, and working-breed nature, Leo is not a good fit for a condo, apartment, or mobile home, and he is not a dog that should be tethered. He’s looking for an active family, ideally with German Shepherd experience, who understands the time, structure, and training a young shepherd needs to grow into a wonderful adult dog. Older, dog-savvy children would be a great match for him. Leo is searching for a committed family who will guide him, grow with him, and love him furever. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, intelligence, and a whole lot of heart.  Leonidas is:Current on Bordetella, Distemper, and RabiesDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedNeuteredADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. Story
Hello! I rescued Mai Tai 2 years ago. She is approx 3 yrs old. She is very smart and knows basic commands and some bonus tricks. She is crate trained, knows how to place in her bed and heel on command. Def needs help on her recall as she loves to chase critters and wants to say hi to other dogs so needs to be on a leash at this point. She is super playful, but also very sweet, funny and affectionate. She loves playing with toys, snuggling in bed and going for car rides. My job role has changed in the last year so I have been traveling almost weekly and work long hours. I also need to be in AZ for extended amounts of time now to help my elderly father. I really just don’t have the time she deserves and having to board her all the time is just unfair. Would really love to see her go to a home with a yard to run around in and maybe another dog to play with. Not recommending cats as she chases them.
