Story
Meet PEQUE Peque is a 6-month-old pup who’s as clever as she is cute! She’s food-motivated, eager to learn, and already mastering crate, leash, and potty training. Peque is spending some time with our trainer to learn new and exciting skills, like off leash walking. Peque absolutely loves to run, play, and splash around outside, especially with other dogs—she’s a social butterfly once she warms up! She may be a little reserved and can be protective at first in new situations, but with a gentle approach and a few treats, she quickly becomes your best friend. She’s also a big fan of belly rubs, snuggles, and cozy time with her foster human. Peque is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find a forever home that will continue to help her grow in confidence and joy. Peque is not a fan of small children and their unpredictable movements so she would do best in a no-child home or a home with grown children. If you would like to meet Peque, please complete the adoption application on our website at www.usdogcoalition.org/adoptions.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Any WICKED fans out there? This fine gent is named Fiyero, he is a sweet guy and a giant fluff ball. He was a stray for about a week and no owner stepped up or came forward. He can be cautious at first but once he realizes you mean well, he’s all about you! One of our volunteers took him inside cause he was out in the cold  and he’s done well. Definitely has things to learn, we are unsure if he was dumped but its possible. So far he has met some other pups and the cat through the kennels and hasn’t reacted really, just seems unsure. He appears to be one that will need slow introductions! He enjoys toys and his favorite show is Clifford! Fiyero enjoys being out side and  will jump up and hug you also! So far he has not had accidents inside and is crate and leash trained. Who can give this fella his forever home so he can continue… dancing through life! We do believe Fiyeros adopter needs solid experience with German Shepherds! He is spot on for the personality! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 16, 2026, 11:46 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Boone was found wandering in Richmond County, NC with severe injuries.  He has buck shot in his neck and is unable to put weight on his front left leg.  We think he was possibly hit by a car and then targeted by hunters. Due to his injuries his leg was amputated.  Boone is a big, smart, very sweet, and handsome boy. He loves to walk. He loves to play. He loves people. At one point, he was testing all the new furniture like Goldilocks. In his first foster home, he napped with the daughters. He’s been nothing but gentle with his post surgery foster mom. He is navigating life with three legs and he has been doing very well. He also has a big healing gash in his neck. Somebody definitely shot him, and still, he’s super sweet. He’s been very well behaved in the house. He’ll find a dog-bed and lay down in it. This is the advantage of a two-year-old. He loves to be pet and will roll over to be pet at hello and goodbye and any other time he thinks you’re willing. Boone is a staff favorite at Walnut Street Animal Hospital, as well as a foster favorite within the rescue! He is great with other dogs and loves kids.  We estimate he is ~2 years old and 70lbs. It breaks our hearts that someone could have treated such a beautiful, gentle creature so poorly. Boone is on the upside of healing now and ready to start his search for a forever home!  ***************************************************************** The adoption fee is $400, which covers vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age. Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed. Please go to https://www.pawfectmatch.org/animals/search? and search on the dog name to see more photos, browse the profile, and complete an application Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 17, 2026, 11:56 am
