Story
AlbanyFemaleD.O.B. 02/27/2025Estimated Full-Grown Weight: 65-75 lbsBreed: German Shepherd Mix Hi, I’m Albany! I’m a spunky, curious little pup with a heart full of love and a tail I love to catch! I’ve got a feisty spark and love to be in the middle of everything—whether it’s following my human around the backyard (“Whatcha doing? Can I help?”), cuddling up for a nap, or having full-on “conversations”. Yep, I’m talkative and proud of it! I also love soft fabric frisbees, but just to carry around the house because if you throw it, I’ll lose track of it. I’ve been spayed and I’m crate trained. When you’re away, I’ll need to be crated to keep me out of puppy mischief. Due to a congenital brain abnormality, my adopter will need to be very patient and willing to work with me long-term on developing skills like being house broken and leash walking. Because my brain was “custom-made” just for me, I take medicine to prevent seizures (which are under control with medicine). Just mix my pill in with some wet food and I gobble it down with no complaints! My motor skills are not fully developed so I will lack the typical motor skills of an adult dog, giving me an adorable and goofy gait, but I can still gallop across the yard when it’s time for food or cuddles! I occasionally bump into things like crate doors, porch posts, or human legs. I also trip over things on the floor (ask my foster dad about all the spilled water bowls ). Sometimes I get a little lost or confused and need some reassurance that my person is nearby. Because of all that, I need a home with no stairs or very few stairs, and someone patient who will help me feel safe and supported. I thrive on routines, so patterns like “come inside from playing, get a snack!” and “go potty, take my evening pill, go to my nighttime crate in the bedroom for sleep” are good for me. My favorite pattern is: “wake up from a nap, get lots of belly rubs!” I love to play with other dogs, but I don’t understand when my dog friends are done playing or want to keep their toys to themselves. Those social cues are hard for me, so I’d do best as the only dog in the home or with a very tolerant dog sibling who doesn’t mind my unique (and occasionally pushy) play style. I get along well with cats (I live with two now and they just give me my space) and respectful kids. I’m full of joy, heart, and a whole lot of goofiness. If you’re a patient person looking for a playful, talkative, loving little shadow with a unique sparkle and a whole lot of character, I just might be your perfect match. If you are interested in meeting Albany, apply to adopt her at: www.causeforcanines.org. Adoption fee: $195. Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children must be 10 years old or older. ##2359749##

JulietFemaleAge: 1.5 yearsWeight: 54 lbsBreed: German Shepherd mixTrial Adoption Eligible Hi there! I’m Juliet—a smart, active girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I’m alert, curious, and always up for some attention—whether it’s belly rubs, a game of fetch, or just hanging out with my favorite humans. I’m house trained, crate trained, and walk great on a leash (yep, I’m the full package!). I do need to be crated when left alone—just to keep me safe and out of mischief. I get along well with other dogs and love having playmates! When it comes to people, I’m still learning to trust, and I’ll need a patient, understanding home that’s committed to continuing my training and helping me build positive experiences. I’ve already come a long way and just need the right people to keep me moving forward. My ongoing training is included in my adoption package no extra cost to you!  I’m super smart, eager to please, and love learning new things. I know how to sit, heel, lay down, go lay down, stay, and I can even back up while heeling! I love a good cuddle after some playtime and enjoy being outside soaking up the world. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and fun-loving pup who’s ready for adventure and personal growth, I might just be your girl! To help me find the perfect match, I’m eligible for Cause for Canines’ Trial Adoption Program! This gives approved adopters a chance to get to know me in their home before making things official. You must be an approved adopter to participate. If you are interested in meeting Juliet apply to adopt her at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $350. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 5 or older. ##2307553##

Story
Say hello to DINO! This bundle of joy came into the rescue and stole everyone’s heart immediately. His kind endearing eyes will make your heart melt. Dino was a puppy that was found by a wonderful person at the person’s place of employment. He fed Dino daily and allowed him to sleep in his car on his lunch breaks. Dino remained loyal and stayed around the place of work until they reached out for help from the rescue. To this day he loves cars and feels very safe from the outside cruel world inside of one. Dino has now been placed in a loving foster home and is learning to play wonderful with the foster’s big dogs and puppies that are fostering with him half his size. Dino is doing great in a crate and potty training. This guy catches on really quick. He is so appreciative of having a safe environment to thrive. He will lay on you or keep his head in your lap forever if you will allow. Personality: Dino is goofy, energetic, and playful! He does well with correction. Dino would be great in a home with another dog to keep showing the ropes of puppy life. He is soooooo ready to be your new best friend and would love a home where he can grow to be a wonderful life long family companion. Once adopted Dino will travel via the Rescue Transport to his new family. They travel each weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the northeast, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. Story
Meet DIXIE! 🐾 This adorable girl is just the perfect package!! Dixie found herself, through no fault of her own, in a rural shelter that keep most of their pups outside under tarps and with hay in the winter. One look at that face and we scooped her right up. We were shocked to find out how sweet, loving and gentle this adorable doll was. This amazing girl just loves life and hanging out with her people and dog buddies. She is the first to welcome you home and last to leave your side. She has the perfect energy one is looking for in a dog. Dixie is approximately 5 months and practically out of all those time consuming puppy stages. 💖 Personality: Goofy, playful and energetic. Dixie has a wonderful temperament and gets along great with her foster mates. She is super smart and a fast learner. She will be up for learning any new tricks you might want to throw her way. She is fostering in a home in Memphis, TN and her foster mom would love to tell you all about her. Dixie is going to be great family companion and she is ready to be your new best friend! If you’re ready to give DIXIE a lifetime of belly rubs, treats, and a cozy bed, please reach out! Let’s find this sweet pup the forever home she soooo deserves. 🐶💕 Once adopted she will travel via the Rescue Transport to her new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185.
