Meet Reba, this gentle giant who, in size, is second only to her timid nature. We have gotten conflicting vet information stating that her DOB is 12/01/21, we believe Reba is more on the senior side of life. Reba is in love with Cocoa's babies and is so, so very gentle with them. She will sometimes follow you around closer than your shadow, but she also enjoys loafing around the house. She is housebroken and crate trained, but when nervous or meeting new people, she will sometimes pee a little out of fright, but otherwise potties outside. Great on leashed walks, is interested in cats, and is good with kids. She can be easily startled but just hurries back to get to her safe space/crate. She is a very calm dog but will need patience due to her size and timid nature. She is the friendliest dog who wants to please her owners and always be with them. She loves playing outdoors and rolling around. A fenced-in yard will be necessary for her to get all her high energy out. She is great on walks, learning leash manners well. She enjoys playing with stuffed animals and car rides. Good with kids and has lived with other dogs and gotten along just fine with them, but would suggest slow introductions. She keeps a very clean kennel and is housebroken. Name: Ruthie Breed- Shepherd mix Size- Large Gender-female Age- 3 1/2 months (DOB 10/11/23) Meet Ruthie, She came from a Kentucky shelter that was full and was due to be euthanized with all the puppies in the shelter. Rescues stepped in and saved as many as they could. Ruthie is now ready to find a loving permanent home to live out her life in peace. She’s a feisty one. Learned to climb out of her pen so now she’s a big girl in a crate. Potty training is going well. As long as you get her out regularly she doesn’t have any accidents. Very energetic and probably would do better if the family had another dog for her to play with and get that energy under control. Loves people and other dogs. Not sure of cats but my guess is she would just try to play with them. Rides In a car well. Having a fence would be preferred for her. If no fence you would have to be an avid walker or jogger. She’s going to be a big gal. 60 lbs. plus. Her coat looks black in pictures but in person, it looks very much charcoal gray in areas. Puppy training might be a good idea. She was born sometime in October. We’re guessing of course—also her breed. Litter mates look like shepherd mixes but maybe some Lab. as well. Her eyes look a little bit Pitty but her head is Lab. So she’s an all-American girl. She comes when called and is learning house manners. All APM dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated,parasite-free, on (monthly) flea/HW prevention, and microchipped. Meet Lennox!! He is a little over a year old (born 10/22) German Shepherd mix who weighs 65 pounds! He is looking for his forever people. Lennox is a very active boy who will do well with clear instructions and consistency. He is working on the words “no, stay, sit, back off, leave it, drop it, house, and done”. He still has an occasional accident in the house especially when he is focused on play. He loves a good tennis ball and can play for hours. He is learning to walk without pulling, gets excited when he sees dogs his own size and seems to want to chase cats that run. He has lived with cats before, but testing is critical. In his foster home, he has a fenced in yard, but does not like to be out on his own. He really wants someone to play ball with him. Currently he is working on “house’ during the workday and ‘house’ overnight. He does well through the night, but he will bark for a short time until he settles down. He is still working on spending the day in the crate. He would thrive in an active family who could take him out for several walks or to play ball. He is a loving boy with a big heart, loves to cuddle on the couch, and did we mention he loves his tennis balls. Wisdom Panel results of Athena’s sister shows she is 69% German Shepherd. Athena is expected to be a medium/large dog as she is almost 20 pounds already! This spirited pup is a social butterfly who absolutely loves everyone she meets. She can be a little extra excited and jump too much so working on her manners will be important. She gets along famously with other dogs and loves to play with her siblings and foster sister. She recently visited a local elementary school and she was quick to run into a fifth graders arms for love. While Athena is still mastering the art of potty training, she's eager to learn and impress. Outside has so many wonderful smells and wonders that sometimes she forgets to do her business outside and comes inside to use a potty pad. Athena is learning how to walk on the leash, she is quick to look back to her human to make sure she is doing the right thing. Food is a wonderful motivator for this girl when working on training. She does great in a car and had the opportunity to ride in a truck and found it to be the best adventure! With her playful spirit and gentle demeanor, she's the perfect companion for both outdoor adventures or staying close to home learning new tricks and napping with a favorite human.
