Story

Danny is a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix who is ready to trade shelter life for a home where he can stretch his legs and let his personality shine! This friendly, energetic guy enjoys attention, knows “sit” and “down,” and can be very enthusiastic when he gets out of his kennel. Danny can pull on leash, so he would benefit from a home who can provide structure, exercise, and help him practice calmer leash manners. Danny has also had encouraging interactions with other dogs! He met two dogs with relaxed tail wags and appropriate sniffing. Even when one dog became more intense and snapped at him, Danny remained relaxed and did not reciprocate. Danny could really use a home where he can decompress, burn off some energy, and show us who he is outside the kennel. Can you give this big, enthusiastic boy his chance?

Story

Hi, my name is Remington - nice to me you! I am listed as "special needs" because my vision is limited due to cataracts. I am not in any pain but I do need steroids - eye drops - the cost is about $12 a month using an online pharmacy. Even though my eyesight is limited, it doesn't slow me down! One of my favorite things to do is to play fetch - we play every night! Check out my video in my bio pics - I think I'm pretty good (as long as the ball isn't thrown too far), don't you? I am a silly girl who just likes to play. I get along really well with people and dogs. One of my favorite things is playing with my foster siblings - even though I will play with everyone, I usually will gravitate towards one pal at a time. I can be a little reserved at first with my humans but once I trust you, I'm very affectionate and like to give hugs! ***Special needs - I need eyedrops for my cataracts*** ADOPTION FEE: $300 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: MUST have breed experience BIRTHDAY: 9/28/22 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes DOGS IN HOME: Yes CATS: Unknown CHILDREN: Yes - 8 years and older I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $300 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! ***WE DO NOT HOLD DOGS. IF YOU ARE GOING ON VACATION OR ARE NOT YET READY TO PROCEED PLEASE APPLY WHEN YOU ARE.*** INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER INQUIRY/CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!
