Story
Addie had a rough start in life.  Arrived at a rural shelter covered in fleas, underweight and much hair loss as a pup.  It took a couple months to get her to a good place.  Estimated to be just about 1 year of age although she still has some growing to do to catch up.  She's a german shepherd mix and weighs 30 lbs.  Doubtful she'll be a real big dog though.  Addie is a happy girl and loves to be with her people and time outside. Addie is in a foster home so if you are interested in adopting her, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process.  Due to the large number of inquiries we receive, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.  September 27, 2023, 1:34 pm

Story
Hope is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Hope was dumped out on dirt road in the country. She is a white German Shepherd dog around 1-1/2 years old and weighs 75 pounds. Hope is a very good dog. She loves people but would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Hope is extremely smart. She is leash-trained and has learned basic commands. She can sit, stay, down, and now roll over. She is fairly active and would be a great agility dog. She will not potty in her kennel. Hope must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She needs to be walked on a leash and needs a securely fenced yard to run and play. Hope is healthy. She is spayed, vaccinated (DAPPvL2 and rabies), and will be microchipped upon adoption. She has been treated for heartworms. They are now dead and she is receiving monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Hopes adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Columbus or Cincinnati Ohio. Hope is being fostered by our friends at StoryBrook Rescue in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Please send an email to StoryBrookRescues@outlook.com if you are interested in adopting this good girl. Story
WinstenMaleAge: 3 yearsWeight: 90 lbsBreed: German Shepherd Hi, My name is Winsten! I am a sweet boy who gets along great with dogs and kids. I haven’t been around cats yet to know if I would be good around them. I am house trained and crate trained and even walk well on a leash (with the proper collar of course). I love to play ball and walk and lay out the sun and shade. I enjoy being petted and going on adventures. My favorite snacks are: peanut butter, cheese, steak, green beans and strawberries and my favorite toy is probably my tennis ball. My foster mom says that I don’t know how big I am and think that I am lap dog. I have a great temperament and an even better personality.  Since I do have some energy, a home with a fenced in backyard is a must so I can run around. One thing to note: I do have chronic allergies that require medications. Because of this it has been recommended that I see a pet dermatologist to figure out what is causing all of my allergies. Right now I need to get monthly allergy shots and my medications can run around $325 a month.  I am loyal to my pack and want to be your best friend. I cannot wait to have my very own active family all my own who will provide me all the love I deserve! If you are interested in meeting Winsten, apply to adopt him at: www.causeforcanines.org. Adoption fee: $275 Must be an Ohio resident and 23 or older. Children must be 5+.  ##1735918##
