Story
Our dog Nala is a very sweet, friendly, excited and high energy dog and we have been struggling to give her the attention and exercise she needs. My partner and I work 50-70 hours per week and it has become very challenging to care for her outside of basic needs and walks. We really love Nala but also want the best for her at this point.

Story
Hello my name is Fred I am a German shepherd mix. I was born December 24th 2021. I am still a playful pup but have no problem snuggling up and doing whatever my owner would like! I like to run around the yard with my older brother buddy (poodle mix unknown age) my dad got me from a veterinary clinic when I was 4 months old. I like to watch golf on TV or toss my soccer ball around :) he is one of the sweetest most loving dogs I’ve ever known. Buddy was my grandmothers dog whom I took care of until she passed. He is a very good boy as well he enjoys playing just as much as he enjoys his younger brother’s activities. I would like for them to go the same home but it is not a requirement. Due to unforeseen circumstances I am no longer able to afford or house my beloved doggies. The fee is negotiable I just want them to have the happiest fullest life they can! Thank you for your time!

Story
We are rehoming because our older daughter is going to college this fall and my mom will become our babysitter and she is allergic to dogs. We adopted her from the Franklin county dog shelter in 2023. They think she was about 1-2 years old. We think she's around 4-5 years old now. She is very healthy. I walk her twice per day around 30 minutes. She weighs 70 lbs. We give her a heart guard and was spayed. We take her two regular vet visits and have all records. We give her the basic Costco dog food which she likes. She loves playing fetch but will not drop the stick so you have to hold one so she will drop hers which works every time. She is a sweetheart around and kids. She does extremely well at the dog park. She is a little skittish which is cute because she's leash-reactive or just reactive in general, like most German shepherds that are not trained. The new owner must take her on long walks or have a large area she can play because she needs a ton of exercise. Extra food/heartguard

Story
Ozzy came into my life in a very special way. He was gifted to me at 4 months old by a dear friend who was battling cancer. She wanted to make sure he went to a loving home where he would be safe, cared for, and truly loved and I promised her I would do that for him. Ozzy is now 1 year old and has grown into such a sweet, loyal, and loving dog. He has a big heart and an even bigger personality. He absolutely loves to play especially with his giant wooden blocks and enjoys chewing on bigger toys. He’s an active dog who needs space to run, play, and get his energy out. A home with a yard or someone who enjoys being outdoors would be perfect for him. Ozzy is also incredibly affectionate. He loves to cuddle, be close to you, and feels happiest when he’s part of a “pack.” While he can be on his own, he truly thrives when he has people around him. He listens well and is a good boy, but like many young German Shepherds, he would benefit from continued training and structure to help him.

Story
Say Hi to Onyx! This sweet girl has had quite a journey. She is a 4 year old German Shepherd whose life started in an Amish puppy mill. Onyx had been used for breeding until she was discarded. Thankfully she made her way to us so her healing journey could begin. She was a shell of a dog when she arrived. So terrified of humans she would just cower in her crate and never want to leave. She spent several months in our prison training program and found GREAT success! Our handlers did a wonderful job teaching her that humans are loving.  Onyx has learned her basic obedience skills and proven she is very smart! She is hesitant in new situations, but sooo much better than when she came. She has moved to a foster home and is doing great! She enjoys being with the other dogs, running around in the backyard, rolling in the grass and is so ready for her next chapter. Her ideal home would have a fenced in backyard, another dog or 2 to show her the ropes and patient owners who understand she will need time to adjust. Even in her fear Onyx has never shown any aggression! She wants to trust and be part of the family.  She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and HW negative. She is crate trained, leash trained, knows her basic obedience and is potty trained.  If you are interested in adding Onyx to your family and finally giving her the happily ever after she deserves, please visit our website and complete an adoption application: https://www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We appreciate your support, in order to help us continue to rescue dogs! Donations can be made via our PayPal account - info@prodogsohio.org. You must be willing to commute to the location that the pet is being fostered in order to be eligible to adopt. We do not ship our pets. We also require that you personally bring the pet back to us should the adoption not work out.   We do NOT negotiate adoption fees. All money goes to support our rescue operation. We are 100% volunteered based. We require your current dog(s) to be current on vaccines and heartworm prevention.  Apply online at www.prodogsohio.org, under the Adoptables tab. Story
April She is always wagging her tail and eager to make new friends. Shes incredibly friendly with all people and has such a gentle, happy energy that makes everyone fall in love instantly. She absolutely loves her toys and playing fetch, and shes been doing wonderfully on walksno reactivity to other dogs. At home, shes just as amazing: she sleeps peacefully through the night on the bed and hasnt had a single accident in the house.Shes a smart pup who wants to please, but shes still learning that her people will always come back. Because of her past, she does experience separation anxiety and isnt comfortable being left alone right now. Shell need a patient, understanding family who can help her build confidence and trust over time. She truly is such an amazing dog who is incredibly resilient! She will make a family so happy April is currently afraid to be crated and will need time that get used to that. She had been to doggy day care and loved it!Apply to meet April at ricopetrecovery.org. The $350 adoption fee for April includes vaccines, the spay surgery and a microchip at our partner vet.
