Story
Mavis is a 16 week old german shepherd, american bull dog mix. She is a lap dog at heart, loves to be touching someone at all times. Her ears tend to pick and choose when they want to stand up but almost always she has one standing up. She had much more energy than I anticipated when i got her. She needs someone who has time for her, as i wish that person could be me so bad. She has had her first round of shots, and all rounds or wormer.

Story
My son rescued Poncho, our 8+ year old male German shepherd from an owner that was unable to care for him about six years ago. He has been a good dog with our kids and our cat. He is house trained, crate trained and knows some basic commands (bed, sit, down, spot, heel, no, drop it). He walks well on a leash. When we first took in Poncho, we lived on 3 acres and he was able to run and play everyday. He liked to chase birds, but he would stay close to us and come back when called. We recently had to move to a neighborhood that does not allow fences, and Poncho does not get to run and play anymore. He is people friendly and likes to spend his day by your side. He does not like other dogs, loud kennels or thunderstorms.

Story
I purchased Thor about 4 years ago. He grew up with a huge backyard until about 2 years ago, my husband got a job and we ended up moving to Columbus. Housing is expensive and leasing with a German Shepherd is hard. Finding a place to accept him since he is an “aggressive” breed is almost impossible. Which honestly does not describe Thor at all. He is very gentle and loving and honestly pretty timid. He loves other dogs (we have a golden retriever that he plays with) he is obsessed with bones. He jumps and has a lot of energy and with the right amount of exercise he is a great dog. The apartment lifestyle is not for him though. He loves having a back yard to catch a ball and loves being around family

Story
Naga came from family. She was an accidental liter to two very well behaved and well tempered parents. Her mother is pure German Shepard and Husky. (I have pictures of her) Her father was mixed with Labrador, Saint Bernard and Red Heeler. The first few months of her life were on their farm. Naga has been with us since she was 12 weeks old. She was born January 28th 2022 so she is 15 months old. I am looking for someone who knows how to work with Shepard/Husky’s. She needs freedom in a fenced in home of at least 6 ft high, no chain or kennel. She jumps our 4ft fence and escapes a lot! She does better with dogs her size or bigger! She is very socialized and always around my two toddlers so she is trained with small children. However she does not know her own strength so she has been knocking them down and being too rough as she gets older so better in a home with older kids. I love this dog with my whole heart and she deserves a great home!!

Story
Roxy is a pure bred working line GSD. She is trained with all basic commands. In nearly every way, she is a great dog! Her only issue is being anxious and reactive with other dogs. After much time we have only improved this and it can get better but needs someone with the time and schedule to get her to the next level.

Story
Hello, my name is Brian Shepherd,I have a nearly 2 year old black German Shepherd that would need a new home due to living conditions changing preventing me from keeping a dog. I was reffered to you guys from the Franklin Services Shelter and would like to talk over possibilities and options for Bear. The only real issue I see that Bear might have in being rescued is that he is very animal driven. He seems to slightly dog aggressive but he is wonderful around people. You can contact my phone at (xxx) xxx-xxxx , however an email is the preference.I bought him from a user needing to rehome him via facebook. They had no shot records , nor was he neatured. So I have no official paperwork on him so he could be classified as a strayHe is not good around other dogs, he seems to get dominant around other dogs. As far s cats his scutes stick up when he see's stray cats walk around. I don't know if it is an aggression towards cats, however I've never gotten him close enough.
