Story
Meet Burton, the spirited Border Collie/Shepherd mix ready to charm his way into your heart! At just 7 months old and weighing 35lbs, Burton is the epitome of puppy energy and enthusiasm. This playful goofball is always up for an adventure, especially if it involves exploring the great outdoors or engaging in a spirited game of fetch. One of Burton's most endearing qualities is his affectionate nature. He loves nothing more than showering his humans with hugs and snuggles, and watching him roll around and wiggle with joy in the yard is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. While Burton is still mastering obedience commands, his eagerness to learn and please shines through. He's currently working on his potty training, showing promising progress with puppy pads indoors and he is crate trained. And although he may occasionally nibble on things he shouldn't (toes included!), his playful puppy antics are all part of his charm. Burton thrives in the company of other dogs, reveling in lively play sessions and companionship. A home with another energetic canine friend would be ideal for him, providing both playtime and valuable lessons in manners. Although Burton may be a bit shy around strangers, with patience and socialization, he's sure to blossom into a confident and loving companion. His fear of the unknown is understandable when you learn that he has recovered from being shot in the face and neck, with bullets remaining lodged in his body. He's a brave survivor with a zest for life, ready to embark on new adventures with his forever family. If you're prepared to continue Burton's training journey with patience and love, and provide him with a home filled with laughter and play, then he just may be the perfect match for you. So, what are you waiting for? Apply to meet Burton and discover the joy of having a playful pup by your side! This puppy is in Tennessee. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
After his start in the inner city, his imposing size no doubt got him noticed. He was transferred from the Philly shelter to here, and it became apparent that he had some training at some point, though buried by inactivity. Now he looks forward to volunteer walks, and sometimes seeks affection. He has been getting some training help here which has helped with his active willful mind. We recommend that when he is adopted, he continues with the trainer that has been working with him. He is not for the faint of heart and will need a firm, understanding , shepherd experienced person to keep him under control. He likes ball and will respond for toys, treats. Ironically he likes to please, and has a few tricks in his repertoire. He does have a prey drive, and cannot be adopted to a home with cats or other dogs.

Adele initially arrived from a neighboring state, and has done well taking in the new routine. She is very alert active, and physical. In her own way has worked on figuring things out quietly. She has been to "finishing school" at a prison dog socializing program for a few weeks, and is back and available. She will be telling us how she did in the upcoming days.

Story
Miss Peri is a 4-year-old sweetheart who has paid her dues by being tossed around family to family. Now that she has completed obedience training she would really like a forever home and family to call her own. She is reliably house trained and is caught up on all her vaccines. She has dignified crate manners and loves to eat! She enjoys her foster sisters but would probably like to be your sole focus. She loves attending group class in the Harrisburg area and is entitled to training support for life at no additional charge. Please note she is in foster care with her trainer near the Harrisburg area. If you would like to see her please email adopt@charwillsrescue.com so we can get this coordinated.

Story
This is Eden, a beautiful sable that is leaving her mill days behind. She is a gem in the rough, and has earned a trip to a socialization program at a nearby prison, and she will work on her comfort level with life an a controlled manner. She is smaller, stout, and looks to you from a distance. A shy side from knowing not much beyond a run as her life. She no doubt does not understand affection very well and will take time and practice. A joy to be around will be her next endeavor when she returns from the program in a few weeks (will return approximately May 16, 2024).
