Story
Get a load of Gohan! This gentleman was surrendered to the shelter due to health issues with the previous owner. Gohan can be anxious in novel situations, and asks that any children in the home be 3 and older. He has previously lived with kids, and is reported to be affectionate and protective, as well as a rough player. He has had some crate training and is housebroken aside from some instances of separation anxiety. He is open to possibly living with other dogs as well as dog-savvy cats (he may give chase) with proper introduction. Gohan has a lot of love to share and will be a fantastic friend for anyone!---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
Koda is a 8-year-old German Shepherd originally rescued in Yokosuka, Japan when he was just 1 yr old. He is from a family of police dogs, but did not undergo formal training due to abandonment. He has completed basic obedience and is a very loving boy. He is looking for a best friend who will be his companion for the rest of his life. We have had Koda for over 5 years now and never thought we would be in a position to have to rehome, but life threw a curveball at us and we know Koda deserves better than what we can give him now. Koda suffers from separation anxiety, but we are hoping the right person who can meet his needs will ease this transition for him. Koda may need formal behavioral training due to his reactivity from years of under-stimulation. It is imperative to us that he does not get rehomed again after this, so we are urging anyone interested to please reconsider if you have young children, a small breed dog, a geriatric animal, or cats (Koda does not know his size).

Story
Max has been with us for almost three years. I adopted him from a family member who couldn't afford to care for him. Max is very High energy. He enjoys trails, walks, and always being on the go. I prefer to give him very thick bones for chewing or any toy made indestructible for large breed chewers. He does have the habit of eating rope toys and bedding. So we avoid giving him those things. Max can only eat grain free food. His stomach cannot tolerate anything else. There are many factors happening as to why he needs to be rehomed. He does not tolerate other animals well, and he is too high energy for young children and elderly people. We are moving an older family member into our home very soon, we also have a young child who stays at our home biweekly. We have 5 cats, and we have to keep them separate from Max. Our Landlord is also raising our rent and changing our lease to include no dogs. Max needs a single person or young couple with high energy and experienced with Sheps.

Story
Otto is a very sweet, lovable pup with a heart as big as his smile. He loves playing with tennis balls and happily chewing on his favorite toys—playtime is definitely his favorite part of the day! Otto already knows the cues sit, lay, and down, and he’s proudly food-motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. With a tasty treat in hand, Otto is eager to show off his skills and learn even more. He has a gentle, affectionate personality and would thrive in a home that can offer love, playtime, and plenty of positive-reinforcement training. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who’s equal parts playful and cuddly, Otto may be the perfect fit for your family. **Coming Soon at the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, Birdsboro Pa 19508, KL#1257
