Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Duke 90 lbs of energy and love. He is a German Shepard mix who plays ball like a champ and would make a great companion for older kids, and we say that because of his size. Travels well in a car , housebroken , update date on shots ,good with other dogs. Duke was returned to us due to his owner having a lifestyle change, we had placed him as a puppy and as with all our all dogs if something happens we ask that they are returned to us so that they don't go to a kill shelter. So we are helping Duke find his furever home again at 4 yrs old. If you think he would be a good fit for your family please fill out an app and we will arrange a meet and greet. Adoption fee: $375 Application: https://us07b.sheltermanager.com/service?account=bc1121&method=online_form_html&formid=1&fbclid=IwAR1yqsf4PTaE1dPLssrAIfCJKbxSbx04FxjMMXu0r5HWZtyxXqk73MaAtbw

Story
For Adoption:Happy and Tyler are 4 month old German Shepherd mix brothers. These boys were purchased together locally. Sibling adoptions rarely work out well. The boys have been ganging up on the  resident senior dog. Tyler is very outgoing and wants all the attention. Happy is more of a follower and a shy guy. Once Happy is no longer living in his brother’s shadow he will blossom into a happy, outgoing guy again.Thank you for your interest in rescue. If you would like to be considered for adoption please submit an application to adopt. APPLICATION TO ADOPT: http://www.jotform.us/ddpets/adoptddpets   If you have any questions regarding the adoption process please email store@ddpets.com or call 610-970-7500.May 28, 2023, 1:09 am

Story
This is Pintas, we were asked to help this girl. The finder had been feeding her for a while trying to get her help and off the mean streets of RGV (Rio Grande Valley) where very bad things happen to animals all the time. She didn't have any luck and one day about 2 mos ago the finder went outside to feed Pintas and found that she couldn't walk or stand up. Pintas was hit by a car and left on the side of the road like trash in severe pain and to die alone. Pintas finder rushed her to the vet where we then learned that pintas had a fractured pelvis. We also learned at that time that Pintas was heartworm positive. She had to wait until she healed to be spayed. She will be scheduled in the coming week. Once she heals from spay surgery she will then start heartworm treatment. Puntas has made such stride and progress when the vets didn't have much hope for a 100% recovery. Pintas now can run, jump and play. Something the vet didn't expect to happen. They said that she would need surgery but Pintas proved them all wrong. She will be available for adoption once she finishes her heartworm treatment. If you are interested in adopting Pintas please send us a message or you can apply directly at coalmountain.org ##1454970##

Story
Please everyone meet Tucker. He is one of the gsd mix puppies that was dumped on the side of the road with their mom in RGV. The foster drove hours away to save them from the cruel streets. They were severely under weight when they entered care. Mom and her babies have been with their foster since day one and are finally healthy enough to leave for their forever homes. Tucker is current on vaccines and flea and tick meds, he will be neutered prior to adoption. Tucker is located in Texas but transport is available for an approved adopter. You can also apply on our website at coalmountain.org to get pre-approved ##1486049##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Maggie is an angel, completely potty trained, spayed and fully vetted!  Maggie has been living at a veterinarian clinic for around 2 years now, maybe 3. I used to work as a kennel attendant at this vet practice. While working there I was able to walk Maggie a couple times a day and engage with her 5 days a week. Unfortunately, in July of 2021 I had to change jobs due to health and financial reasons. I try to visit Maggie often, but my schedule is tied up. I have bought her toys and treats and try to see her as often as staff will allow me to when I take my own pets in for vet visits. Even so, this isn’t enough! Maggie deserves a home! I would adopt her myself but I have two dogs and no backyard.  Maggie is labeled “dog aggressive” but was raised with a sister and has been temperament tested with cats. I cannot speak for how she interacts with other dogs currently but i’m sure with a fair chance, Maggie could learn to get along with other dogs again.  But for now, she resource guards around other dogs heavily due to being isolated for so long. Maggie deserves a fair chance. She deserves engagement, toys, playtime, yard time, and love.  She currently lives in a 6ft by 3ft run because no rescue has taken her. One of the last times I saw Maggie she had no toys. I cannot speak for how the hospital advocates for her, I’m told she’s on their facebook page and a few rescue websites and that she is walked and given outside time. I’m creating this post in hopes to get more recognition for my Maggie girl. Please share this and help me find her a home, or at the very least a foster home with some engagement and space! From what I have been told Maggie was brought to the vet clinic to be euthanized after getting into a fight with her sister over food. (This could be fixed by simply feeding the dogs in separate rooms!)  Maggie has never been aggressive with people, and her only behavioral issues i’ve witnessed were resource guarding around other dogs. I have not witnessed her temperament tested with other dogs but I have been told by members of staff that she has done well before with other dogs! ##1494897##
