Story
I have to start by saying this is devastating to me to give him up. He has gone everywhere with me his whole life up until this past year. The only reason I'm doing this is my girlfriend and I are moving in together and she is petrified of him. OSIRIS IS A GREAT dog! He does not have accidents! I mean never! I live in a city so I keep him on a runner for his safety but it’s not really needed he just lingers around me but never goes to far. As for the adoption fee that will be waved once I find the right place for him. I’m hoping to some a farm or someone who has a large yard that he can be free in. He is so smart and learns so fast. Also you must have deadbolt locks on your doors because he can open ANY door even round handle ones. He has been around my children his whole life.

Story
Meet Daisy Daisy is a 5-year-old German Shepherd mix weighing about 65 pounds, with a gentle soul and a calm, loving presence. She’s a sweet and slightly shy girl at first, but once she feels comfortable, her playful side shines through. Daisy is truly a couch-potato at heart and loves long naps, making her a wonderful companion for a relaxed home. She enjoys spending time outdoors sniffing around and exploring, especially in a yard where she can run independently at her own pace. While Daisy gets along well with other dogs and does fine at the dog park, she prefers solo adventures rather than rough play. She is protective of her family and very loyal to the people she loves. Daisy is house trained, crate trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccines. She does have a history of chronic ear infections and will need simple weekly ear cleanings at home to keep her comfortable and healthy. Her experience with children and cats is currently unknown, but she has shown herself to be adaptable and would likely do best in a home with a private yard or easy access to a nearby dog park. Daisy came to us as an owner surrender and is now looking for a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and relaxed. If you’re searching for a low-energy, loyal companion who will happily nap by your side and keep a watchful eye on her home, Daisy may be the perfect match for you. . She is available for adoption on February 14, 2026 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA. KL 16182 ##2655814##

Story
Meet Ducky – Your Future Best Friend! Hi! My name is Ducky, and I’m an 11-month-old Shepherd mix weighing about 40 lbs — and I’m likely done growing. I’m still young and eager to learn, which makes me the perfect pup to shape into your lifestyle. I’m ready to become a loyal, loving companion! I got my name because when I’m feeling a little unsure, I tend to “duck down.” But don’t worry, with my foster mom’s help, my confidence has blossomed in just a few days! I’m learning that the world isn’t so scary after all. Once I feel safe, my playful and loving personality really shines. I LOVE to run and play in the backyard, tossing my toys up in the air all by myself! Fetch isn’t really my thing (I prefer to keep the toy ), but I’m always up for a fun game of tug-of-war. I love playing with rope toys, squeaky toys, and tenis balls! I am not destructive when it comes to my toys.  I’m also learning to walk nicely on a leash and enjoy sniffy strolls or even a light jog. Inside the house, I’m calm and happy to follow you around or relax on my dog bed while you cook or clean. Food puzzles are my absolute favorite! I love using my nose to find treats (including sneaky human food if it’s left out… so keep an eye on your plate ). Kongs and lick mats make me so happy at mealtime! I’m housebroken and crate trained. If you’re home, I prefer to be near my people, but I can patiently relax and wait for you. I sleep soundly through the night with no accidents, and I rest quietly in my crate if you’re out running errands or at work. Things I’m still working on:Men can make me nervous at first. I’m not aggressive — just scared. I might bark until I realize you’re a friend, and then I warm up quickly. Men don’t bother me on walks, it’s just inside the house where I feel safe. Once I’m comfortable, I become very affectionate and am learning all about personal space! My Ideal Forever Home :• A patient family who will continue helping me build confidence and training• A fenced yard  or a large yard where I can run & play safely• Older kids or a home that understands I can be quick and might accidentally knock over little ones.• I currently live with a toddler and do great with her energy and play but sometimes I can get to excited around her.• I’m okay with cats — I sometimes try to play, but I’m learning to respect their space• I’m good with other dogs but would also be happy as your one-and-only pup If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and sweet companion, especially with the warm weather coming soon I might be your boy. I promise to give you lots of love, laughs, and tail wags Ducky is availble through Paws Across Pittsburgh, KL 16182, Springdale, PA 15144. He is ready to go home on or after March 1st, 2026. Apply  today to get the application process started!  You can apply to adopt Ducky through: https://www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt   ##2661725##

Story
Meet ZOEY - Accepting Adoption Applications! Zoey is a beautiful 4-month-old Lab/Shepherd mix with a gentle heart and playful spirit. She loves her toys, enjoys walks, and then happily curls up for cozy naps near her people. She’s doing amazing with training — sits at the door to go out, uses a pee pad, and already knows sit, shake, and lay down (and learning “come”!). She sleeps great in her  crate and is gaining confidence every day — even tackling stairs! Zoey is wonderful with kids and other animals and would make the sweetest, most loyal addition to a loving family. She’s ready to find her forever — could it be you? Story
Diamond is an eight year old Shepherd mix who was adopted from Pet Friends in 2017, but returned to us recently when her family was no longer able to take care of her. While she may considered a "senior dog based on her age, she looks and acts much younger. She enjoys playing fetch and going for walks but those walks don't need to be for miles and miles and the fetch sessions don't need to be hours long. After some exercise, Diamond will be happy to sit with you and get a good scratching. When she was returned, we weren't told much about her other than she is dog reactive, so would need to be in a house with no other dogs. Now that our volunteers have spent some time with Diamond, we have learned that she knows some basic commands, walks ok on a leash but will pull hard, especially at the beginning of the walk, and really enjoys being with people. Diamond is a perfect name for her, because she is a gem and is going to make someone a wonderful companion, particularly if they want a dog that has grown out of its puppy stage, yet still is full of life.
