Aberdeen is a happy-go-lucky girl who lives for two things: water and tennis balls. If it splashes, she’s in it, and if it bounces, she’s chasing it—usually with the speed and determination of a professional athlete. (Seriously, don’t challenge her unless you’re ready to lose.) When she’s not busy perfecting her doggy paddle or collecting tennis balls, Aberdeen is all about making friends. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has a way of turning playtime into a party. With her playful spirit and big, loving heart, Aberdeen is the kind of dog who makes every day brighter—and a lot more fun. ##2291421##

Meet Finley, an irresistibly charming puppy whose curiosity knows no bounds—if there’s a rustle in the bushes or a squeak under the couch, you can bet she’s already on the case with her nose leading the way. This little detective also happens to be a total attention sponge, soaking up every pet, scratch, and belly rub with a look of pure joy. She gets along great with other dogs, often convincing them to join her latest “important mission,” which usually ends with a shared nap or a tug-of-war. With her playful spirit and love for companionship, Finley is ready to fill your life with laughter, tail wags, and a whole lot of heart. ##2291424##

We got him through and old coworker, and now we cannot take care of him like we used to. My work schedule doesn’t allow him to get the attention that he needs. With him in his cage all day, it makes him get progressively more aggressive towards us. We just want him to go somewhere where he will get the attention that he needs and deserves.

He’s a friendly little fellow who gets along great with other dogs and is always up for making new friends—especially if they come bearing snacks. Hello there! I'm Pluto, a lively little guy with a heart full of courage. I've got an energy that's infectious and a brain that's always eager to learn. I've overcome hurdles and now I'm ready for a new chapter. Why should you adopt me? Well, I promise to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love into your life. With me, every day will be an adventure. Adopt me and let's create beautiful memories together! If you are interested in him, please send an email to SCP! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. Story
🐶 Meet Tucker Say hello to Tucker—a truly gentle soul with the sweetest eyes. This handsome boy came to the shelter as a stray, but it’s clear he’s had a home before. Tucker is well-behaved, polite, and calm, the kind of dog who quietly observes the world around him. The noise and chaos of the shelter can be overwhelming for Tucker, and he finds comfort curling up in a quiet space—often snoozing peacefully with his paws crossed on a big pillow in the office. While he may be shy at first, Tucker is doing his very best to be brave. Dogs like Tucker are special. They may need extra time, patience, and gentle reassurance to build confidence, but in return they offer deep loyalty and an incredible bond with their people. Tucker is quiet, sensitive, and affectionate once he feels safe. You can see in his eyes that he wants to trust—he just needs the right environment to help him blossom. 🏡 Ideal Home Tucker would thrive in a calm, low-traffic household with a family who understands shy dogs and is willing to let him settle in at his own pace. A peaceful home and devoted humans will help Tucker grow into the confident, loving companion he’s meant to be. 💙 Are you the one Tucker has been waiting for? Come meet him and see if your heart is the safe place he’s been searching for. ❓ Questions? 📧 Email: info@lifelinetx.org 🏡 Local Adoptions Are Welcome!
